I called into Climate Mechanical's office and spoke to a very lovely dispatcher. She asked me what services needed to be done and as soon as I explained my situation, she scheduled an appointment for me within the same day! The technician that came to my house was very informative and was thorough with his work. He explained to me that I would need to replace my unit soon, as its 15 years old, but what made me love it even more was the fact that they have finance options because a whole new system just isn't affordable right now. I look forward to working with them in replacing my unit. 10/10 would recommend!

Climate Mechanical installed the Trane XL 18 2-ton gas unit, replaced all the ducitwork, blew insultation and changed out all my vents. All this work was done at a most economical cost (especially considering the limits dictated by my budget. Service from the point-of-sale through the installation was most professional and of high quality. Mike even came by after installation of the unit was completed and helped me set up the thermostat that does everything but make your morning coffee. My expericne with Climate Mechanical's service and product was a great one and I recommend that you contact Mike Weigman (Mechanical Climate) for your air condition/heating needs.

Climate Mechanical performed service on my 16 year old Trane system. We were low on funds due to my daughters upcoming wedding but they were able to get our heat going for less than $220.00. They informed us of City of Austin rebate programs for the purchase of a new system but as I said we were not in a financial position to purchase a new system so they explained they weren't in the business just to get a new sale and completed the needed repairs. I felt very comfortable they had been very fair and helped us get a little more life from our outdated system.It's nice to see there are still some reputable a/c people around. I will definately do business with them again and highly recommend them to my family and friends.

My experience with Climate overall was excellent. They were fast, friendly and very professional. I live in a Townhouse and I have recommended their company to all of my neighbors. I will defiantly use them again.

Updated review 7/30/17 **********************BUYER BEWARE -ALMOST 3YEARS LATER I GET A MESSAGE FROM MIKE W The point of this update is to explain how a negotiation began by Mike W ,the President of Climate Mechanical and the unbelievable end to this saga .We were so aggravated years ago that we put this mess behind us (Please read my review underneath my update so y'all can understand what transpired.) Around the end of April 2017, I received a message on Yelp from a person going under the name of Colby R. In that message there was a picture of Mike W along with a female. He asked that I call him back as he may be able to get the City to help with all of our issues. He states that he could see what he could do to resolve our ongoing dispute. He asks that I call him in which my husband did. On the phone,Mike offered to replace our Coleman with another higher Seer unit with variable speed at no cost to us... BUT...... THERE WAS A catch...He added that our review on Yelp cost him to lose a lot of money. He asks my husband to remove all negative posts and that in turn he would make things right and install another unit. He states in an email that"YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN A CONTRACT THAT MY ATTORNEY WILL WRITE UP STATING THAT YOU WILL REMOVE MY COMPANY FROM YOUR RATINGS AND NEVER MENTION MY COMPANIES NAME ON ANY SOCIAL MEDIA OR PUBLIC SITES AGAIN." WE WERE STILL SKEPTICAL on his promise .Why would this man contact us after over 2 years of the Coleman install? What was his motive? We decided to take him up on his offer providing that he or his employees would not do the install. We relayed a few emails telling him that we didn't trust his Company to install anything due to in our opinion, past experiences with them. We suggested that he could supply the necessary parts and he could pay another contractor of our choice to do the install. He asked that we give him at least 10 days to get the funds up in which we did. Meanwhile we found an AC contractor for $2500 to do the install and asked Mike to pay him in certified check upfront and INCLUDE OUR NAME AS WELL. This way we knew the contractor would be assured of getting paid. Keep in mind that we were ecstatic that we were getting a better unit and that the humidity in our house would go away. Our electric bills would go down!!!!! Some of his replies back to us insinuated that we were trying to extort money from him. He stated that his hands are tied and that he must do as we requested. We thought this was quite strange to say due to the fact he was the one who contacted us first.Our intent was solve the ongoing issue not take money from him. He had many choices in our opinion. He didn't have to contact us period!!! He didn't have to offer a new unit. We emailed him back after these comments and told him "that the purpose of this email was to settle a dispute that you reopened from over two years ago that stemmed from poor customer service and poor customer contractor install" After a few weeks we got an email from Mike W . He states that we have cost his Company to decline annually starting three weeks after we posted rude remarks about him, his employee and his Company.He said he consulted his Attorney and that he has 5 steaming from loss of wages, mental stress, slander, oral defamation and attempt to extort. He tells us we have 10 days to remove all past remarks on all sites or on the 11th day he will serve us with a lawsuit. We felt extremely threatened. We went to the authorities and showed them the e mail and discussed our safety and the 5 steaming employees. We also went to our Attorney. He states that we have not broken any laws. It is our right as a consumer to leave negative feedback.and if we are sued we will file a countersuit. I guess these public sites aren't for negative reviews of Companies and that only good reviews can be posted???? (sarcastically) Mike W never did keep his promise to make things right. We are ok with that . We never wanted the drama that came along anyway. By the way, our intention after the install was to post a rather favorable review stating that Mike W took responsibility for his actions and contacted us for a better variable speed unit.We would of applauded his generosity and his professionalism. Since this didn't happen we posted an update to let the public know what happened and leave it up to them to choose Climate or not. We never did get an answer as to what the City was going to do for us. NEVER got any correspondence from them whatsoever concerning this. Also looking over Climate Mechanical Yelp site reviews I seen that Colby R ( his pic is still there with the female) posted a review on his own site on 10/13/16, 10/20/16 and 11/17/16. There is still a pic of him with a female along the review. Dont know what he said because Yelp pulled it and states "the review was removed for violating our terms of service" yall decide.

Our upstairs AC unit died after 17 years. We got four bids and compared Trane vs Carrier. Climate owner Mike Wiegman came to the house and provided the bid. Each company was provided the opportunity to bid on additional work such as duct replacement, additional insulation etc. We also wanted a good concrete foundation poured to support the new unit and the old downstairs unit that was still working. Climate's bid was not the lowest, but also not the highest. However it seemed to be the best thought out and appropriate for our needs. They did not try to "up-sell" us to the most expensive solution. They disconnected both units and had a contract crew form up the slab, insert multiple layers of rebar and create a 4x8 foot slab 10-18 inches tall. It was just what I wanted, and excellent workmanship. The next day they hooked up the old AC unit so we had cooling downstairs. Lucky it was October when we had one day w/o AC. It took two days to install the new AC (Trane XV-18, less expensive than the XV-21) and they replaced all the ducts with new higher R-value ducts, they replaced the registers and associated connections, and each register has its own duct (the old system was daisy chained - cheap but poor engineering). Each duct is connected to the supply plenum with a manual damper for proper flow balancing. They added an additional return air vent and upsized a few registers. They blew in a thick layer of insulation and added insulation to a wall space along side one room. They tidied up and left all manuals & paperwork. This variable speed system is so quiet (indoors and outdoors) it is almost disturbing. We only had one hot day before the cold front blew through on 10/20 so we cannot offer any opinion on energy bills. Overall we were very pleased and would use these guys again in a heartbeat. FYI, I am a retired engineer and have no connection to this business or anyone working there. I just know good design / engineering when I see it.

Another bad experience. Total nightmare!!! If I could this Company it would be -0. The HVAC system that Climate installed froze up on 1/07/15, 2/24/15,3/03/15 and 3/5/15. The coil and compressor had ice encasing the inside and outside unit. There was 3-6" Icicles running from the top of the machine to the bottom of the machine... all around on every side. 1/7/15 the Service manager Tom M replaced the circuit board as he thought it may be sticking.2/24/15 Climate sent a tech out. 2/2515 tech Travis replaced the sensor and defrost board once again..2/28/15. Outside unit encased in ice. Climate couldn't come out till 2/29/15 Tech Tim came out and walked away. He was not familiar with the Coleman product. 2/28/15 Still heavy amounts of ice on unit. Called Climate 3/2/15 Spoke to Jessica. Climate send out tech Travis. He adjusted the pin pad from 1-2 as unit was not defrosting. 3/5/15 called Climate again for he same problem. They refused to send a tech out and said that this is perfectly normal for ice to build up, I explained that the ice was there for a day and hasn't defrosted. I mentioned that maybe the unit wasn't going in the defrost mode. Keep in mind I do have a 1 year parts and labor warranty with them expiring in 8/15. I would think that climate would of at least sent a tech out to make sure that there wasn't an issue. I in turn fired an email to the owner Mike W explaining to him the issues and asking him to resolve this. I send the email 2 x to give him the benefit of the doubt. I asked him to call me so we could discuss further. He never answered my requests. He as the owner should of stepped in and made it right. I would really beware of a company that an owner doesn't address the issues whatsoever. JMO I had no choice but to call Coleman (York) Manufacturer. I send them all of my correspondence and explained in detail what was going on. They sent a tech to our house to go over he unit in detail. The tech finds that the evaporator valve ( TXV) on the heat is bad.He then calls Coleman manufacturing and confirms. We have not had the unit freeze at all since. A few days later I called Climate to get an owners manual as I was not given one. The manufacturer had told me to call as all Coleman HVAC systems that are bought from York comes a rather large zip lock packet filled with user guide, warranty , data from the Department of Energy etc. I wanted this is as after the year warranty another Ac company may need to see the specs etc. Climate advised me to google it. When I told them that Coleman told me this info and that I thought this was unprofessional not to help me.. Jessica replied that I was showing disrespect and said that their lawyer advised them to have no communication with me whatsoever. I replied back in an email that Climate must have dealing with me if it is Coleman related until my warranty expires. Please understand that my intent is to have my new HVAC system running efficiently. I think I deserve that from a brand new unit with a warranty. It is aggravating when you hit a brick wall and a Company doesn't want to honor their work. They mention their lawyer. I have not once had a lawyer call them. I assumed that this would be taken of. Apparently their techs are not knowledgeable. To me it was just parts changing as the unit was not fixed until I called Coleman(York ).

It was not a great experience. There was little explanation as to why they had to add coolant and what further action might be needed. I had to follow up with them twice to get them to explain what had been done. I finally was told there is probably a leak but no diagnostics had been done to confirm this. All in all, communication could have been better with them. I will go with someone else next time. There are plenty of other contractors out there.

Before you have any HVAC pulled out check what brand and SEER they are installing. Austin energy had this free weatherization program. We qualified. The nightmare began. The owner refused to let us keep our original unit. He put a Coleman 15 Seer single stage compressor with no variable speed. He took out a 14.5 SEER Lennox that had a one stage compressor and variable speed.Our old unit was more efficient. We had Climate out 2 times for high humidity after the install.The second time the Service Manager came out. The first tech that came out here was told to lower the fan speed.What he did was raise the fan speed.The Service Manager said the first tech messed up. BTW there is a wiring diagram of the fan speed that he totally neglected to see.The Service Manager supposedly fixed the problem.A few days later we call Climate and speak to The Service Manager.There was still a humidity problem. He states there is nothing that he can pull out of his bag of tricks. He states what do u want from us? The unit is working the best it can. I Don't see any reason to come out there!!! I was mortified. We have a year parts and labor warranty. They will not come out . Arent they in violation of their warranty? Be very careful dealing with this company. \ ************. Update 10/29/14 We received an email from this company to delete my post as he was losing revenue. We have hired an engineering company to come to our home to preform a heating and load calculation test. We will post the results shortly. Before the engineer left I asked him does it look like this Ac was oversized. He stated yes.\ Update Mr Mike states that the reason we went through 3 Ac companies before him was that we were difficult. Not true.\ Then three companies backed out because the city audit wanted the air handler placed in the attic vertically. The city wouldnt pay the contractors the extra money in labor to do that therefore it was an option for them to decline. Climate was given the contract and accepted only if you could put the unit in the same location as it was. The City told climate after the audit what is to be put in period. Our old unit was 14 years old with variable which took out he humidity.The Coleman that was installed doesn't have variable speeds therefore it doesn't take out humidity . Our humidity gauge shows 54 % And that is jacking it down to 75.We qualified for this program as many others did. Climates job was to to inform us what they were putting in as far as make,SEER and how that unit would be efficient. Climatec did none. The city on their audit put down a 3 ton should be installed. Climate put a 3 1/2 ton compressor and a 4 ton air handler . We asked to keep our old unit . Climate told us that the program requires you to take it or the new unit would not be installed . According to the City if we asked for our unit then you should of not taken it. Climate made a profit on the copper and aluminum. Mr Mike. You replied on our yelp post they you recommended us to get a humidifier. That is not true. In fact your manager that was out here stated if it was up to him he would of put a variable speed in. He also stated he has never seen a Coleman installed into a residential home. Under the warranty agreement we have called your office 3 x for the same problem.HUMIDITY on yelp climate states thatbtheyntold us to buy humidifiers.were never told to get a humidifier. WHY SHOULD WE AFTER HAVING A BRAND NEW HVAC INSTALLED? It should of been an energy efficient system knowing that my husband has COPD and is disabled along with other illnesses. The City's project was to lower our electric bill. Has this been accomplished.? I mean running the unit at 70 to 75 degrees is not saving electricity.I have called 3 x for the same issue . Humidity . Climate told me I was a nuisance. I may be a nuisance because you cannot fix the problem.This is the third time you have given us your lawyers information and not to contact-you.Shouldn't a reputable business want to solve his issue? I\ \ I\ UPDATE 12/19/14 We have not heard from Climate to resolve this issue. As the installer they should want to correct the problem. That is the unit needs to be torn out and replaced with a energy efficient variable speed unit. This is no way to treat a customer. Very unprofessional. At this,point we have no-warranty with Climate because they have violated the warranty. . It will end up,costing us $15,000 to replace unit. Mike please consider replacing the unit to end this nightmare. Climate was supposed to call us and make an appointment to check to see if the heat is working efficiently as you coul not test in the summer. We have not been contacted at all.\ \ I will fight until this issue is resolved as I believe I was taken. I'm backed against the wall and will have to use every avenue that I have including the BBB and Attorney Generals Office. But first I will wait for your reply .

The installers arrived when they said they would and finished the job at the estimated time. All work was done professionally and the service technicians were friendly and respectful. The unit has worked as expected and I am very happen with the installation. An excellent company.

I love, love, love this company! I currently live in California. I grew up in Texas and have rental property in Austin. Climate Mechanical completely takes care of my needs at my properties. I never have to worry about anything. They are incredibly quick to respond when I need them, and at very affordable costs. Their customer service is phenomenal. I wish I could find such a company in California for my home here! I highly recommend them!!!

They did a great job of installing the replacement heat pump. They were on time and did a super job of installing. I am very pleased with the installation and the clean-up. They came out a couple of times afterwards to work with me on reducing the air intake noise which is located in the hallway between two bedrooms. They also filed the Austin Energy rebate for me.

They do a pretty thorough job with this. They do all the inspections needed and alert you if there is something that needs to be done to keep your system in order. The only negative is that I have to put it on my calendar to call them each season, they never call me. I pay upfront for the 2 services (spring and fall) and we schedule the spring season, but I have to remember to call them to come back out to do the fall service. I wish they would send out a card or call or something to schedule the second service, it seems strange that they would not do this. I worry that many people pay for both services and then only get one of them because life happens and most people would not remember to call.

Extremely well. Couldn't have gone better. They were punctual, friendly, and courteous. They brought an apprentice with them to show him the ropes. I was so happy they came to my rescue.

We are extremely pleased with their service. We have been a customer of Climate Mechanical for 7 years and they have always provided quality service in a timely manner. Their staff is pleasant, polite and very knowledgeable about their products. We have recommended their company to several people and we have all been extremely satisfied with their service.

It is fine and no problem at all. We have worked with them before and it turned out there was nothing to beat them. It is very reasonable. They come when they say they are going to be there. They do the job and there are no problems at all. They will not do things or make any changes unless we approve it. I have never had any problems with it, so it is good. We plan to use him on a regular basis.

I would recommend them. They are knowledgeable and are willing to do the best job they can.

After getting bids from 3 vendors, I hired Climate Mechanical to replace my broken A/C heating system. In addition to replacing the unit, CM evaluated my duct work and added a new return air to a part of my home that needed a return (other vendors had suggested this as well). Overall, everything went very well with the purchase, paperwork, and installation. Unlike other vendors, CM did not try to sell me unnecessary products like an ultra-violet filter and included a 10 year parts and labor warranty (labor being a real value add). During the installation, the installers showed up on time 7am, were professional and tidy in their work. They did a de-install of the old unit, and installed the new unit in about 6 hours. After the installation, they did a follow up to see if I was satisfied. I have 't had any problems with the installation and equipment.

I am very happy with the operation of the equipment. They were very quick and efficient. Sloppy details on some of the work they did but it didn't affect any of the end turnout.
