Clear Choice Roofing

Clear Choice team installed my new roof in a timely manner and the whole team was very professional starting the owner to all the employees/installers. Clear Choice team left my home as clean as they founded. I applaud and will use them again and again

It went fine, took less than 30mins.

Received initial estimate in person, company rep was nice and knowledgeable and has been with the company for a long time (although no price or specifics were recorded in the written quote, a mistake, looking back on it). Company rep offered to do full re-roof, repair window screens, replace a damaged vent near the roof, and possibly paint fascia just under roof's edge for $0 out of pocket (showed my insurance paperwork, probably also a mistake). Was going to check with his painter, job might run over a bit on cost (which was fine), should get back with me in a couple of days. Took a week and had to call them back, he'd lost all my information and insurance info, had to send it all again and wait several more days, at which point I was quoted the same cost, but without all of the other work he offered initially (told me it was all no problem and easy to take care of) and offered no other discussion. Emailed rep several times trying to get clarification, no reply, called him, phone was picked up and hung up on me, then the rep's mailbox was full and couldn't leave a message. Have spoken to two additional people at their regional offices to try and get a minute of this guy's time to just try and work out the details and still received no reply from him. This is, in my opinion, a terrible way to do business and treat potential customers, especially since all I was asking for was clarification and to negotiate services and prices. Their bid was good and the rep was very nice initially, but to then outright refuse to answer emails and phone calls is unprofessional and rude and I am very disappointed.

Excellent. Cody was unable to make our original appointment and contacted me as soon as he was aware that he would not be able to make it. He followed through several times, to make another appointment we could agree on. Upon inspection, he took many pictures and even did some preventative maintenance while on the roof. Cody then reviewed his findings, showing the pictures he took and explained each one throughly. This was the first time we met Cody, and we were very impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and explanations. He felt we had several years left on our present roof, and did not charge us for the maintenance he did. He asked that when it came time for a new roof, just make sure he would be one of the companies we consider. If we were going to have a roof put on now, We definitely would have signed a contract with Cody for the roof. He will be the first company we contact when it comes time to replace the roof.

The estimator was very responsive and came out a couple of days after I called. We had a good discussion on what needed to be done. However after I informed him that we've decided to go with another roofer because his price is much higher than other estimates I received, the whole attitude changed. I was grilled on how I arrived on the decision to hire someone "inferior" since CCR has the highest rating on Angie's List. CCR may have the highest number in reviews but that does not imply highest rating. But honestly, who I decide to hire is my own business and I shouldn't have to explain myself to him.

We purchased a house in Austin recently and the roof was in very bad shape. I contacted a few roofers and received estimates. Up until I met with Randy from Clear Choice Roofing, I was very concerned about the business ethics of the roofers. Randy was super to work with - honest, very knowledgeable and displayed great customer service. I was not the easiest customer to work with, because we kept making changes and adding/deleting items. In the end, the team came and within two days our house looks fantastic! I did a very extensive inspection and it just looks perfect. The first day they worked 12 hours. Total clean up. I did my research on roofers and I am glad I went with Clear Choice. Admittedly, they are not the cheapest - but it is the roof covering my house! The previous owner used a 'cheaper' company (I assume) and it was terrible. Important note, the roofers are employees of Clear Choice, not contractors.

Oh wow! I left for a five-day conference and when I returned the entire five-building complex had been roofed! To my untrained eye, it looked excellent. We were reassured about any insurance problem and that any cost above their bid would be paid by them. They replaced vents and gutters where needed. They carried away old antennas. I'm told there was a huge crew working in shifts in the hot Texas sun. They started close to the date promised, and they cleaned up beautifully after themselves. There were no problems or complaints afterwards. All the residents were very pleased. As a result, one resident has asked Clear Choice to roof a home she owns, and another plans to soon. If you want your roof done right and at a reasonable price, here is the best choice. I can't get the price box to work, but insurance paid it all.

They didn't put my gutters up right they are lap sided, the water doesn't drain. That's a maybe if they would correct the situation that would be terrific.

Bad experience and very unprofessional. Went through my property managers to get a roofing company to fix a leak in my roof above the kitchen. CCR came out to assess the damage, provided me an estimate and said they would contact me to schedule the work. Never received that call after a couple days, so I called to get a status and get something on the books. They apparently cant give a courtesy call to let me know they were coming out to do the work, as I came home for lunch on said date to find the work wasn't completed and let a mess even. They were supposed to add some missing shingles which they did not do, nor did they clean up the mess they made from laying down the storm guard/fixing the leak. Called to complain and got the run around and some story about the guy having 25 years experience(doesn't show from his work), but eventually they came back out again to finish/clean up (to which they again didn't call me to let me know they were there). Still have a gap between the siding and shingles, which apparently is to be expected and they say it will not leak. Asked to get a discount or something for their lack of communication and ability to do the job right the first time, only to get the credit card fee waived (gee, thanks). Unacceptable. Waited a few days to pay the invoice, got harassed about it during that time and after finally paying they send me the receipt only to resend a notice for unpaid invoice 30 minutes later. Will never use these folks again, and even told my property manager to avoid doing business with them in the future as well.

They did not do a bad job but I get the hustle like you would not believe and then I was not impressed. I don't really remember, but I would remember if it was not good.

They fixed a leak around my chimney that I've yet to be successful with while working with other companies. It seems like they succeeded this time around. They explained to me what others weren't able to. They took pictures of everything they did, and I'm confident that they solved my problem.

Gavin, the owner, gave me a fair estimate which beat three other local estimates. He was there at the start and checked the work upon completion. His crew did an excellent job and cleaned up the work site.

Outstanding from start to finish. We had used Clear Choice previously for minor roofing repairs and were very satisfied with the service and quality of the work. When notified we needed a full roof replacement we contacted Clear Choice again. From the beginning the service was exemplary. Mike showed up exactly when scheduled and called prior to his arrival. The initial meeting was very professional and he ensured that we knew all our options and the associated costs. Mike continued to be present for the entirety of the work and ensured that the job was top notch. Communication with Clear Choice was always prompt and concise. They showed up when they said they would, and always kept us notified of any changes in schedule due to weather. The work it self was fantastic. Workmanship for the roofing replacement was superb and our roof now of substantially higher quality than it was previously. In addition, we had some structural work that needed attention and Clear Choice took care of that within the budget for the entire job estimate. Roof replacement is a messy business, Mike went above and beyond the call to ensure that our property was kept clean and that the debris was throughly and expeditiously removed. The roofing work itself was completed ahead of schedule. Final cost was exactly what Clear Choice estimated. We will definitely use Clear Choice again and will request that Mike supervise any job we have. Thanks for doing a wonderful job!

I am a real estate broker and investor. I had used Clear Choice a couple of years ago to do a roof repair on a client's home following a windstorm. I could find no other reputable company who was interested in doing anything other than a complete roof replacement - they were all too busy to be bothered and would not even look at it. After reading good reviews I called Clear Choice and the owner, Gavin, came the next day and gave a reasonable quote. Understanding there was a pending sale on that property, he had the work done the same week and both buyer and seller were pleased. Subsequently I had Clear Choice do a shingle repair on one of my own investment properties - the price was good, work was good and prompt. The repair person even removed an old satellite dish for me and I was not charged extra. Most recently I had hail damage on a different investment property and the insurer approved replacement. Gavin came out promptly and verified he could do the work for below the estimate, saving me significant out of pocket expense. The work was done within a few weeks and everything was done very professionally. Clear Choice worked directly with the insurer and I have already received the insurance settlement. My business partner and I are very pleased with Clear Choice and they are now our first choice to call if we need roof work for ourselves or clients. We are happy to recommend them.

Mike arrived promptly. He was polite, and attentive. When I inquired about the vents worked on last year, by the same company, he called and tracked down someone who could give him the needed information.

Gavin, Vern, and the CCR team were very professional. They did a great job and we are happy with our new roof. They were very responsive to small issues that we had with the roof after it was complete. I would use them again.

Overall, I was pleased with the job accomplished. Both the job estimator and roof repairer arrive on time and completed and excellent job and product.

I had a maintenance check done and the service was great. The individual who came out was very nice, polite, and professional.

I developed a leak in my first floor ceiling. I was afraid it was from a recent siding installation. CCR found the problem was chimney flashing. Honest, dependable, and reasonably priced. I will use again.
