Clear Choice Roofing

Gavin was a pleasure to work with. He came out to my home and promptly gave a fair and accurate estimate. I hired his company to do the leak repair work and tune-up for my roof. The worker arrived promptly and finished his work quickly. The leak is fixed and Gavin assured me that if I needed any further support with my pending inspection that I could call him and they would follow up with anything else the inspector might find. Everything about the experience thus far makes me wish that I could hire Clear Choice for more than just my roofing needs. This is the best experience I have had with any contractor, period. I will be recommending Clear Choice roofing to all of my friends and family.

They sent me detailed photos of the roof problems. They were timely in their estimate and the completion of the repairs. Excellent work and professional customer service. Would use this company again.

Roof and chimney inspection. Went well. After they left and the rain came, my roof leaked again. They came right out, without hesitation and fixed it. No more leaks.

The repairs that were included and the maintenance were done quickly and cleanup was great. When we had questions, the owner, Gavin, got back to us right away too. Noticed a shingle loose on my roof and also had leak on porch when it rained really hard. Saw Angie's great deal for this company and decided to give them a try. It never hurts to have a roofing company that you can trust. The next day after purchasing coupon, they called me, set up an appointment.

15 They arrived on time and went right to work. He was polite and explained what needed to be done. His assistant got right to work and didn't bother me while he was working. It took about 1 1/2 to2 hours and when it was done, he said the actual cost was more than the special, but he wasn't going to charge me more. I really appreciated that.

I contacted Clear Choice after spending a month playing phone tag with another Angie's list highly rated roofing contractor. When I finally did speak to that contractor I found out he never did even walk my roof to check out the problem, he said my roof had too high of a pitch for him and that he was not interested in the job. I called Clear Choice because the reviews eluded to the fact they did bigger jobs and hoped that they would be open to checking out my leaking problem. I spoke with Natasha and questioned her thoroughly about the likely hood that Clear Choice would be open to assessing and fixing my problem. Natasha assured me they could handle the assessment and would send a roofer out with Gavin if necessary. An appointment was made promptly, Gavin and his roofer showed up early and found the problems which were related to errors the previous roofing company who did the last roof installation 5 years ago had made. Gavin gave me an estimate which seemed fair, I elected not to contact other contractors for additional estimates since most of the may reviews of Clear Choice mentioned that their pricing was very fair. The work was scheduled for the next day. The roofer showed up in the 1/2 hour time window that he was supposed to show up and completed the work in a timely fashion. I expect that he did a good job but will have to wait for the water and mold stained sheet rock to be replaced in order to get the final confirmation. Hopefully we will get a big rain soon so I can truly assess but I am quite confident that the problem has been repaired.

First, let me state that I expected this job to be a challenging experience. It was a small roofing job and I live out in a rural area wherein it is sometimes challenging to find reliable contractors. I received 3 estimates for the job from 3 different roofing contractors. From start to finish and every step along the way, Clear Choice was very professional, courteous and responsive. Everyone was very polite and client focused. Honestly, my job was a small one and the other roofing companies I had contacted treated me as a borderline opportunity and one they were marginally interested in pursuing. Not Clear Choice. Starting with my first phone call, Natasha was very polite and followed through in a timely manner. Gavin called me quickly and asked all of the right questions. Boris meet me at my home (the job site) to discuss the job and take measurements and described the sequence of events that I should expect. Then Boris and his crew showed up with the materials and completed the job as he described he would. They were very polite and cleaned up afterwards. I couldn't be happier with the end result and with Clear Choice Roofing. If only all contractors operated like Clear Choice does then this truly would be the land of sunshine and lollypops.

He was very honest and told me that I didn't need the repairs I thought. I really appreciated that he didn't try to sell me on unnecessary repairs.

Gavin (the owner) came out to my home originally to provide an estimate on roofing repair. He offered a quick assessment of the damage and provided me with a quote that was very reasonable for the repair and much less than I had originally feared. We had an excellent chat about his business and I came away feeling very sure that the company was reputable and knowledgeable. While he was out, we got on the topic of fascia replacement. I was having a new gutter system installed and was having trouble finding a company to do the work, outside of handymen companies. Gavin said that they also performed this type of work and offered some different options for wood types to use on the replacement. We settled on pine, and a quote was written up for me on the spot. While not the cheapest quote (Gavin said to expect this for fascia replacement), I felt very comfortable with Clear Choice Roofing and decided that they would be selected to perform this work as well. The jobs were scheduled on separate days, with the roof repair performed within a day or two. The craftsmanship was quite excellent. Gavin had warned that I would be able to tell a difference in the color of the shingles that had to be replaced as a part of the repair, because of the age of the existing shingles, but I could not. Clear Choice fixed the bowing on the roof. They even replaced a rotting pier that they had discovered while performing the job, and they did it at not additional cost (wow!). I was very impressed with the work performed. I cannot tell there was ever a problem with that section of the roof. The second job, the fascia replacement, was scheduled for a week later since it was a larger job and a crew of more men would be needed. Because we had rain in the area, my original appointment had to be moved. Natasha worked to reschedule for a time that met my needs, and was very accommodating. The crew was very diligent in the job, and brought to my attention any trouble spots that they found (some areas where the old soffit was not straight) and worked on a strategy for working around the issue. They did an excellent job of cleanup and disposal. The work performed is what I would hope to see on a new home construction. Excellent lines, great job sealing and overall just good work. The next time I have a roofing need, Clear Choice Roofing will be on the top of my list of contractors. Everyone I dealt with was professional and courteous, and the work was performed to a high level of quality with reasonable pricing.

I explained a problem I had and asked him to check it out while he was doing the inspection. After the inspection, Gavin showed me pictures of the vent that I thought was leaking because I could hear drips in the vent over my stove. He showed me that it was dry and said he could replace the vent cover with another one that might muffle the sound somewhat. I had him do the repair. Not only did it not cost anything extra, the next time it rained the sound was muffled and did not sound like it was coming into the vent. I was very pleased with the service and plan to use Clear Choice again if I have any problems.

Clear Choice offered a $199 special for roof inspection and maintenance through Angie's List. To my surprise, Clear Choice called me within a few days to set up an appointment. The two man crew arrived right on time and went right to work. They stayed about an half hour walking the roof to spot possible problems. I had mentioned where there might be a couple of places that needed to be checked. They repaired them and did find some other shingles that needed attention. They also nailed down flashing around a chimney. Thanks to Clear Choice I believe I now have a "snug" roof.

I called Clear Choice after reading so many good reviews. After speaking to Natasha in the office on a Friday afternoon, I was expecting a call back to schedule an estimate within a couple of days. Instead I received a call from Gavin, the owner, within the hour to confirm some information about the work I needed done, and was scheduled for an estimate over the weekend (I always appreciate a quick response!). On Sunday, Gavin called about 20 minutes before the scheduled appointment to let me know he was on the way. We discussed options for the work that needed to be done, and Gavin was clear and thorough regarding pro's and con's (not to mention personable and funny). We went over the specific issues in the inspection report, and he explained why in some cases it might not be worth doing the work, and in other cases that the work was minor and he would include it for no charge with the ventilation work we needed done. I asked for a written estimate of the work we'd agreed on, which he was happy to provide on the spot. We decided to go ahead with the work and were told his office would contact us to schedule the work within a few days (which I thought was a little long, but I was impressed he was working on a Sunday so I wasn't complaining). Natasha called the next day and the work was scheduled for the same week. On the day the work was done, Gavin was on site to make sure his staff was clear about the work that needed to be done before he left for his next appointment. He was also very professional when I asked him to confirm why he had proposed turbine vents over another option - I had been given some advice by someone (not a roofer) who said that turbine vents were not ideal. He explained what the cons of some turbines are, but reassured me that we had made the right choice. I haven't been able to inspect the work, but I'm not expecting any issues based on my experience so far. My only note would be that the guy who actually did the work, Nam I believe was his name, didn't let me know when he was finished, which I thought he was going to do; at some point I just realized the noise had stopped and his truck was gone. I always appreciate contractors checking in when they are done, just in case I have questions, or if I'm waiting for the work to be done so I can go do something else. Not a huge deal though. Overall, Gavin and the Clear Choice staff were professional and personable, and I would certainly recommend them or hire them again.

High and difficult place to reach. They got the job done in less than 2 hours.

I met Rick Ackermann when he was doing an evaluation on my neighbor's roof. He was very nice and came over and looked at my roof too. He took pictures and showed me the wind damage from the storm. Based on his advice, I had my insurance agent check my roof and they approved a complete re-roof job. I took several bids, but Rick's bid was the lowest and he was the nicest too. He told me to check out Clear Choice Roofing on Angie's list and we would see they are a very good company. We did just that, but were unhappy to see two reviews that were not very flattering about Rick. We talked it over with him, and he was as sincere as he could be that his company was excellent but that he may have had a couple of bad days. We went ahead with Clear Choice Roofing and we were just delighted with the entire project. Rick was very professional and his crew was just as good as promised. There was always a crew manager on duty to answer our questions, and Rick was always quick to answer his cell phone. The entire project was done in two days as promised and they cleaned up everything, nails and all. We had a beautiful new roof and paid only the deductible on our insurance. Rick keep every promise and was always available to make sure we were happy. My only minor little beef is that it took several weeks to get a "Paid in Full" receipt after I sent in my check, but Rick called and apologized that the account lady was out sick. I can say without reservation that Rick Ackermann was as good as he could be and the company was as good as they rated on Angie's list.

These guys were right on time, very helpful with information to keep my roof in the best of conditions and performed the work quickly. I highly recommend them!!

Soon after I called his office, Rick Ackermann called back to set up an appointment. Then on the day he was due to come, he called ahead of time to remind us, he came when he said he would come, and he did the work quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this firm, which responded to our request immediately (there is a friendly person who answers the phone --- unlike many companies I called, that either had no one answering the phone, had no voice message system, or who did not bother to even return my phone call.) Clear Choice is an appropriate name for this firm --- they are certainly a Clear Choice for us the next time we need help with our roof.

It was obvious, during the inspection of an existing home being purchased by my daughter, that the original builder did not provide adequate ventilation for the attic area over the garage. This had to be corrected, but on a budget. I contacted Gavin Stoner at Clear Choice and described the situation. Not only was he and his company anxious to help but he was especially sensitive to the pricing. A date and contact time was set within days of my calling Gavin informing him that we had closed on the home and wanted the repairs done. The technician that was sent to do the job was very polite and professional. Two vents installed, the area cleaned up and my problem solved in about a hour. You can't beat that. I would highly recommend this company for their responsiveness and professionalism.
