The experience went really well. They did a really good job installing the roof and an amazing job cleaning up. They were very responsive to me and handled everything really well. I had to have my shingles special ordered and they did a great job with that also. I would recommend them to anyone.

was scheduled without much difficulty, but we got two different opinions on what needed to be done, so we were held up, but it did not matter because the caulking held back the leak. After a few reschedules we had it done to our satisfaction and would use them again. This was a heavy gauge metal roof put on wrong by the original builder.

I was concerned with the condition of my 14 year old roof after spotting numerous areas of rot along the drip line that looked damning to my untrained eye; I was certain that I had multiple leaks and that repairs would be very costly. My head was filled with scenarios of water pouring down beams and only just showing signs in these areas. I joined Angie's List specifically to get referrals on whom I should consult with. Of course, my timing was awful since recent storms had damaged roofs all around the greater Austin area, but when I called Clear Choice Roofing, they were quickly responsive to my distress. They fit me into what had to be an already hectic schedule and Rick came out to take a look-- called me immediately to alleviate my stress-- while the roof was still in pretty good shape overall, the damage I had noticed was easy to repair and there were no structural concerns or (gasp) leaks. In fact, it was common wear damage to the 1x4 dripline trim moulding just under the shingles on the facia which is a frequent DIY project. WOW-- how cool is that?! I very much appreciate that he would let me know that since, in my experience, most household contractors would not even hint to the possibility that with rough skills, you could independently handle the project that you are having them bid! Since he was so upfront and frank about it, I considered tacking it on my own, but between work, kids, and other projects, turning this over to experts with such an honest approach was comforting to me. Rick presented me with a proposal, accompanied by pictures of troublesome areas. I signed it, scanned it, sent it and in short order was added to the schedule. The gentleman who came out as committed surveyed the house himself, then went back out to get the necessary supplies for the moulding. I was appreciative that he wanted to make sure that he maintained consistent materials so that the finish would be pristine instead of using what he had brought based on pictures alone. He came back quickly and went to work, priming the new wood before leaving for the day. Since there was rain the next day, he came back out to replace the few tree-damaged shingles and do some sealing work the day after. Again, I was thankful that he was interested in matching the color and pattern as closely as possible to the originals, even though it meant another trip out. We talked about some issues with the way that the flashing had been installed around the chimney and the sealing of an area where a satellite dish had once been tapped through the roof. He was polite and efficient and again went about it. Unfortunately once he had finished, I was on a conference call and unable to walk the perimeter with him and confirm the whole scope of the project was complete and get all the little details that come of that final conversation. I talked with the folks at the office and then again with Rick expressing that I still saw some areas of drip moulding that looked like they were withering beneath the paint and that I wasn't sure that everything was done. Right away they sent their installer to me. He pulled down the area I was worried about and, to my embarrassment, he was able to show me that there were no problems at all with the integrity of the wood... the paint was simply splintering and peeling in those areas and with some sanding, priming, and new paint, all would be well. He cheerfully installed the replacement piece (with ends mitered for a tight joint and seamless finish) and never showed a moment of irritation that I called him back out for what was ultimately nothing. I called Rick right away and apologized for my ignorance that initiated an unwarranted trip-- I really should have gotten up there and checked before reporting any problem and not gone off of appearance from the ground. He responded with ease-- they were happy to come back to make sure everything was perfect. It was. And it was especially nice that I was not met with annoyance from my mistake (embarrassment was painful enough and kindness goes a long way)! No additional service fees, either. My second WOW moment with them. Glad I found them. My sincere thanks for Rick, Natasha, my patient installer, and rest of the Clear Choice team. I know it was a small job, but they definitely will get my business when I am replacing the roof here in a few short years and I will certainly refer them to everyone I know. Use them and you will not be disappointed.

We conducted the entire transaction via email, which was great for me. Clear choice was responsive and came by with me being around and fixed my roof. They did a very nice job on the roof. The only problem was the shingles used did not match the shingles I have. Luckily, the locations where the repairs occurred are not easily visible and one would have to look hard and know what they are looking for. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone and ensure they have the right colored shingles if the work is on the front of your house; mine was not.

A six or eight man team arrived and quickly replaced the roof. Roofing is noisy and messy but they cleaned up very well when done.

I was really concerned about the leak in my roof. I had a rubber trash basket under one of the leaks, and with all the rain we've had this year, I've had to empty it more than once. The other leak was into my bedroom closet. I had to put all of my shoes up on wire shelves to keep them from getting ruined. I looked on the list and chose Clear Choice Roofing. The people on the phone exhibited a high level of customer service, and when Carrie (the job supervisor) came out, she was very thorough and knowledgeable. I pride myself on being able to read people, and I knew I'd found the right company to fix my roof. They gave me what I thought was an extremely reasonable price, and came out the next working day (a Monday) and did the work. The workers came in and installed the new flashing around the chimney and sealed the vent pipe and replaced missing screws. The job was done in under one day, and Carrie, the supervisor, came out to look over the job. She pointed out the repairs that had been done, and I could see that they were done right. I was impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of everyone I came into contact with. I highly recommend this company and I intend to recommend them to everyone with roofing jobs to be done.

From the start it went well. I did ask a number of questions and Gavin was able to answer them. I liked the fact that his initial walk through of the work was in written form on the contract we would ultimately sign. In other words, the description of all the usual components along with the free-form text for describing any extras or notes on the work were all lined out and easy to see on the contract from the very beginning. The work happened on the day it was scheduled. The site was left clean when they finished at the end of the day. There was a punch list of 4 small items. This list was taken care of within a week.

They were very prompt as far as setting an appointment with me. They came out and were very thorough and pleasant.

The emloyee who came out spoke limited English, so it was difficult to communicate. He indicated we needed 2 new roof jacks (i.e., covers for the plumbing vent pipes). We got a call from Natasha at Clear Choice telling us that the cost of furnishing and installing them would be an additional $129. We ok'd this over the phone, and the employee went to purchase the needed parts, then installed them. We never received anything in writing. We were given nothing in writing indicationg what was done, what we paid, or the overall condition of the roof.

I was so glad I joined Angie's list before hiring a roofing company to repair my 4 rental houses. I live in Washington state and it is imperative that I work with professional, communicative and responsive companies when my houses need work. After reading many reviews from many companies, I narrowed it down to Clear Choice. They met and exceeded all of my expectations in seeing the repairs were completed properly. The wind storm in February blew a number of shingles off our roof. Many homes were affected. I called Clear Choice Roofing and received a message that due to the high volume of calls from the storm they would return my call within 24 hours. Less then 24 hours later I received a call from Carrie. She came out and inspected the job and gave a a bid which we accepted. They came and replaced the shingles as well as caulked pipes and made sure no other damage had been caused by the storm. Clear Choice Roofing did an excellent job. We will use them in the future and highly recommend them.

Easy to work with this company. Had to wait a couple of days only because it was after a windstorm and there was a waiting list.

One of the many reasons we went with Clear Choice for our new roof was that of all the companies we called, they were the most responsive. They returned my call first and were able to make an appointment to come look at our roof sooner than anyone else. Once we decided to use them, they had our roof installed within a week. After some pretty intense wind, I needed to get a small patch of shingles replaced on the roof. Called up Clear Choice, after reading reviews here on Angie's List. Gavin came out, and looked at the damage. I wasn't home, but he managed to get in and out of the backyard without letting my dogs out and without getting eaten (more like nibbled around the edges, the dogs are total chickens and probably stood off 10 feet and barked like mad things). The contract was tucked into the door, and $199 seemed like a fair price to get up on our steeply-pitched roof. After I finally managed to conquer technology enough to get a picture of the signed contract to the office, a gentleman came by and dropped off a pack of shingles and sealant and the work was performed the next week. The shingles look great and the work was done quickly. Thanks!
