Clear Choice Roofing

Overall the quailty of the work was great. The rain and some miscommunication did cause work to be rescheduled a few times. I can say the contractor was patient with me choosing with what color i wanted the shingles to be. I was a very disappointed with the final price. I recieved an estimate prior to showing my insurance quote.....but i did show what the insurance was willing to pay the price went up 200+. The contractor did inform me it was because he mismeasured and the insurance papers were correct but that was a lie because I watched the final hours of the reroof and after they hauled away the extra packs of shingles that the insurance had mismeasured. All of course i told him he was correct and he didnt offer to credit me but 20 even though it was 200 over. I will be careful next time in the mean while i will enjoy my new roof!

This company made several attempts to repair a section of the roof that had a leak. After each repair they said they had fixed the problem, but with each time it rained the leaks continued in the same location. When there was a long time after one repair when there was no rain, then the leaked again after it did rain. This company then told me a couple different things about the warranty of their work, which as it turned out there was indeed no warranty on their repairs. The last time I had called about the same leak the field supervisor, Rick, set a time when he would come out to look at the problem. he did not show and did not called to explain. I gave him a couple of days to call, but when he did not I called him. He did not apologize for not coming when he said he would or why he had not called. He set another time to come by and was three hours late arriving, again not calling to let me know he would be late. He later emailed me a new estimate for repairs. I replied to his email promptly, asking what warranty the company would offer. he never responded to that message. i subsequently send an email to the company office asking for a refund of the last repair amount and informing them that their field supervisor had never responded to my email. This company did not respond in any way. I later wrote a letter to the company, They did not respond. I can not stress enough that this company is unprofessional and unresponsive with how they deal with customers. They apparently do offer any warranty on their work and do not care if the job gets done right.

I returned from a Christmas with my children and discovered that Round Rock had suffered from high winds which had caused a section of the roof shingles to be torn off and several additional shingles had come loose. The forecasters were predicted drenching rain later that evening! I called Clear Choice Roofing in the early afternoon and by the time I got home from work, they had come out and neatly tarped the roof to prevent leaks. A couple of days later a gentleman (I am sorry, but I don't recall his name) and inspected the roof and gave me an estimate. He recommended that the flashings be repaired as time and heat had taken its toll on them. He had taken photos with his phone to show me. The work was completed on the first day it was dry enough for the roofers to do their work and the results were excellent. I highly recommend Clear Choice Roofing. If I still own the house when it needs the roof replaced, I will be calling them!

It was very easy to get in contact with Clear Choice Roofing and they were very flexible in scheduling an appointment - they were even willing to meet with me on a Saturday!! This was greatly appreciated. I had removed a DirecTV antenna and Clear Choice replaced an area of the shingles (I had some spares left over) which had holes from the antenna and filled the holes. There were a couple of places where the flashing around vents were coming up and they re-secured those. They replaced one of my vents which had been damaged by critters chewing on it. There were a couple of shingles that had been previously damaged by branches and they replaced those also. They did a complete inspection of the roof and would've advised me of any additional concerns which could be fixed before becoming major problems (since the roof had been replaced a few years ago, there weren't any additional issues to be addressed). Very professional, courteous, honest and I'll be using them again when I need any roofing work done.

Very courteous, ontime, included a few missing shingles that were not actually a part of the deal and did not charge extra. Gave me some good advise for the future concerning my roof but no pressure.

The roofers arrived on schedule, completed the task at hand in an efficient manner, and cleaned up after themselves before they left. Everything went like clockwork. I would definitely use this company again. If I ever have to replace my roof, I will be calling the folks at Clear Choice Roofing. This was an excellent experience!

No problems per se. Roofing isn't rocket science but is labor intensive. Had to get the site lead to put out some additional tarps to cover my walk ways, which they did, but still caused me some extra clean up time later. Good as any, better than most. Out of Austin area but established and good reviews with BBB. If I had to get another roof I would not hesitate to use them again. Most of the labor force for roofers are Hispanic and not all speak English...Gotcha...my wife speaks Spanish. Price was excellent which always makes you worry..."You get what you pay for". Turned out OK, I am happy. Roofing companies are flooding this area since our wind storm, be careful. .

great, the owner came out and was very informative and said the roof was in good shape and there were no issues he could see that would cause the leak based on the roof or the flashing. he said he saw a crack in the chimney and advised to get a stucco company out to fix that.

I recently noticed a water leak coming from my patio roof. I called clear choice on a Thursday to come over and provide an estimate. They come over promptly Saturday morning as scheduled. After Mike climbed on my roof and sprayed it for a while with hose so we could find the leak, he found that the new gutters I had installed, had a hole in them. So the leak on my patio wasn't from roof but from the gutters. Mike could have told me yep there's a leak and charged me for a fix that didn't need done, but he was honest and told me how to put a little caulk in the hole, and fix the issue. He also didn't charge me a penny to come over and spend 1/2 hour with me trying to find it. I will ABSOLUTELY use these guys, and only these guys in the future for ANY roofing need. There's not a lot of honest contractors out there, but these guys are. Mike made my morning!!!

A very nice gentleman named James came out and surveyed the existing roof and gave an estimate for the work to be performed. When I got the estimate, I was very impressed as it was lower than I expected. The composite shingles that were proposed were the Duration Owens Corning shingles. I went on the Consumer Reports to check them and found they were among the least expensive and rate near the bottom of their tests. I asked James to price it with a better shingle and he said it would be a special order and said it wasn't worth it for the kind of house we have. I agreed. I asked for some references for some completed jobs just to see what a finished roof would look like. I drove by the properties. Regrettably, both of these failed the 'wow factor" test. For this reason, both of us have decided to go elsewhere for a roofer.

! The three man crew showed up at 07:00 and had the roof stripped before 09:00 Hrs. This included pruning two sets of tree limbs that over hung the roof. They kept working and had everything done by 19:00 Hrs, including a clean up that was neater than when they arrived. We have had a few storms here in Austin, and my new roof is not leaking! hooray!

I purchased the $199. roof maintenance coupon and scheduled the service with the office. The owner visited and determined that the $199. coupon would be sufficient to complete the repairs. A roofer was scheduled and arrived on time. The roofer found more tiles that needed replacement and this was also covered by the coupon. I would definitely use Clear Choice again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Estimate and work were completed in a timely manner. Workmanship was good. Communication could have been better. When I called to ask when they were coming out, I was told that a certain person does the scheduling and had not done it yet, and that I would be notified in advance when the schedule was done. A few days to by and then I got a call that the crew was on their way. I was not actually home (and thus away from my voicemail) and I arrived to see the workers sitting in their truck in my driveway. When I asked who they were and what company they were from, they pretended to not understand what I was saying and drove off. Turned out they had already done the work and were just sitting in their truck for some reason. I was hoping for a call in advance that the team was coming, and by in advance I mean something other than, "They will be there in 15 minutes." Customer service aside, the work they did was fine and fast. I might use them again if I need to, but I will also shop around.

They did a very good job inspecting the roof and performing three small repairs. They found no large problems with the roof; said it was in great shape and should last many more years before replacement. They re-glued flashing on one of the vent pipes; I also asked them to fix a small hole in some exterior flashing that we'd found earlier, and a bent and busted corner to our gutter at the driveway. They did good quality repairs to both, and all within the coupon price. I'll call them again when we need more work done.

They were there when they said they would be and did the job quickly. It took them a little while to get back with me after I faxed in my quote but in their defense, it could have been because I had changed extensions at work so they might not have been able to get a hold of me. Otherwise, I was very pleased with everything.

On time arrival, qualified roofer performed detailed inspection, quite thorough, no attempt to sell additional services. Will certainly use in future!

Both men were early to their appointments and professional. I would definitely hire them again for future roofing jobs!

I was worried about my roof after multiple wind and hail storms causing damage to roofs in my area, so I called and was able to get someone to come evaluate my house within a couple of days. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be there during the appointment but didn't want to delay getting my roof evaluated so my boyfriend was there to meet Gavin when he came out to my house. I was very impressed with Gavin since he called and left me a voice message detailing his findings and what needed to be done. More importantly, Gavin reported that my roof was in good shape and that I didn't need to be replaced---there were only 2 shingles that were damaged due to the wind and he provided my boyfriend with 2 shingles and instructions of how to go about replacing them since that would be more economic than having a serviceman come out to perform this simple task. I had originally wanted my insurance company to come out and evaluate whether a new roof was needed since many of my neighbors were having to have their roofs replaced due to storms because I figured if a roofing company came out, they would state it needed to be replaced to profit their own business, but I felt Clear Choice Roofing was honest, dependable, and customer oriented. I would recommend them to others and will definitely use them in the future!!

OK but was not provided with any kind of written receipt detailing what kind of repairs / maintenance was actually performed. I know the guy was up on the roof but I don't know what kind of work was actually performed.

Coupon sale coincided with a major wind storm, which pulled some shingles off of my roof. Gavin came by to inspect the roof and left shingles and materials for the repair crew to repair the damage. The crew came by the next day and replaced the missing shingles so well that it is almost impossible to tell any difference. Of course, the roof is over a decade old so the existing shingles are a bit weathered, but you can only see the repair if you know exactly where to look. The crew also caulked all flashing joints as needed. To my surprise, the coupon amount was sufficient to cover the inspection and routine caulking as well as the repairs. The speed and professionalism of this company was impressive. Considering how busy they probably were with all of the damaged roofs in the area at that time their response was phenomenal.
