Clear Choice Roofing

Okay kids. So. It's always painful when you have to have service work done. There had been some rough storms in Austin, including high winds. I could see that some of the shingles had come off. I was very worried that I would need roof repair. The inspection was painless. They came and did repair when they said they would. Imagine that.

Initial assessment was on time, accurate, sincere, and options were discussed. Installation was on time, and by all accounts was done correctly because Dan WAS ON THE JOB!!! UPDATE: I initially gave this company 5 stars all the way around but I had to reevaluate them because they left a bunch of supplies at the house and never picked them up after calling several times to pick it up. They left nails, roof caulking/tar and bucket so I knocked them down on responsiveness and professionalism.

The guys did a very good job.

They were able to do the job quickly, and got it done on time as promised. There was some wood on the deck that should have been replaced but wasn't. An HVAC vent on the roof was bent at some point, they could not repair it because they aren't licensed to.

They said if your roof pitch is greater than 8'12" there would be an additional fee on top of the coupon I had already purchased.

Dan of Clear Choice Roofing answered my request for roofing repair within hours of my posting on Angie's. He came out and looked at the job, gave me a written job quote, detailing exactly what he would be doing. The office called and an appointment was made within two days. Dan worked on the job for about 6 hours or so and I could not be more pleased with the job he did. Highly recommend Dan and Clear Choice Roofing.

The company was able to perform the work the same week we bought the Angie's List deal and they did a great job. We have some upcoming roofing work that needs to be done and we will definitely use them again.

They were great. They were on time, professional and cleaned after themselves. They explained it to me and fixed it.

Clear Choice inspected 3 of my rental houses for wind/hail damage and found damage on all three that required complete replacement. Insurance adjustor agreed. Clear Choice representative was very quick and professional. He provided several different options and prices. Compared to other vendors the pricing was a little on the high side but I was persuaded by the other reviews that the quality of work might deserve a premium. I used Clear Choice to do the work on one of the 3 houses. I had them install their medium tier metal roof. The work was done quickly and well. Tenant's occupied the property at the time and no problems. Clear Choice did a good clean up of the area afterwards. For some reason their crew tore down the rain gutters, but Clear Choice replaced them at no charge when I asked about it. Overall a very good experience and I would be happy to use them again.

Clear Choice did a great job. They were flexible in setting the time for the appointment, they were on time and they were professional. They did not try to sell us more than we needed. They gave us a good overview of the current quality and expected life of our roof. The good news for us is that barring a hailstorm, our roof should last another 10-15 years.

Dan was very conscientious and professional. This is my first experience with an Angie's list service provider. If future providers and their service is as positive as this experience I will be one happy customer!

Contacted us immediately by phone same day as I signed up for Angies List searching for a roofer. Roofer was on the time I chose for him to be here to look over our roof. He did a darn good job of repairing it and price was amazing. We will never use anyone else for our roofing needs. So happy I was referred to sign up on Angies List. Thanks you so much.

They arrived on time and quickly did the jobs required. No problems or concerns.

I purchased a $149 Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine.

They did an excellent job replacing the roofing but it took them a long time to get the job started (waited three months).

I called an insurance claim adjuster and he estimated the shingle repair job at $275.00, So this was a good deal. They went up on the roof and replaced shingles.. Just did not get a piece of paper telling me what exactly the saw or did not see or fix or did not fix.

They were good. They sealed a couple of things for me and made sure that nothing was leaking anymore so I think I was pretty satisfied with them. They did what they were supposed to do. They did recommend any real upcharge, additional work or any of that stuff so they just kind of take care of what they needed to do and gave me a couple of pointers and told me my roof was fine. My interaction with them was good. The work turned out good.

I am due to meet with the estimator again today -- I just want to be informed for this meeting.

We were very happy with the roofer's expertise and ability to share that knowledge with us. He was very honest about the condition of our roof. We thought it might be time to replace it. Instead of selling us a new roof, he advised that we could wait a few more years. He explained that the shallow pitch of part of our roof lends itself to water backing up during hard rains which causes a small amount of leaking to occur. He recommended guttering part of our second story to prevent so much water from collecting in that area. This pitch issue had NEVER been explained (or even mentioned) to us by our original builder or by the company that re-roofed after a hailstorm years ago. We very much appreciated his honesty in explaining our options. His recommendations were not based on selling us more roofing work from his company. We will definitely use this company when it does come time to re-roof.

I believe the guy comes in is not from the service provider. Though he is good, he has no idea what the original contract is. The original contract said they will use leaf blower to check all the loose shingle, but he didn't do it. He said there are way too many loose shingle and it will take too long to fix all of them. He did replace the vent and outlet cap where I have leaking before. The company over-promised a service that they cannot deliver properly.

Clear Choice correctly diagnosed and fixed the problem for $250. As a naive homeowner, they could have taken advantage of me but did not! Highly recommend these folks.

The estimated arrival time was between 7 -8 AM. The crew arrived just after sunrise and immediately started working. The only break they took was for lunch. The entire job was completed within one day.

They came out and gave an estimate to repair the tiled roof and we decided not to go with them, we decided that was not the proper roof that we will be putting. I used a galvanized roof that keeps out the rain and the animals and i got someone else to do it. It cost just slightly than trying to repair that tiled roof. However, they seemed very efficient, they did what i expected them to do and they sent me the photograph. They were nice.

It went alright! There was a little misleading whenever the roofer came out, it was forty nine dollars on what's supposed to be a three hundred and forty five dollar value. The conversation was "Well, but you only paid forty nine dollars for it." Well if I only paid forty nine dollars for it, then its a not a three hundred and forty nine dollar value, it's a forty nine dollar value. They just came out and did an estimate for me. I ended up having them do some repairs, based on what they saw. I believe it was Friday march Seventh. There were a couple damaged shingles that they repaired. The Big Deal allowed me to put in a schedule, but that didn't translate to the vendors so I had to follow up and actually make a schedule with them twice. The Big Deal was good. They came out and did what they were supposed to. They made the repairs on the seventh, but apparently they did not install the shingles properly or do what they were supposed to do because they had to come out a week later and fix the shingles because they had already blown up. After I figured out that they were waiting for me to call them instead of the schedule that I put in to Angie's List, they were very responsive.

They were great! They were extremely friendly, very clear as to the work they were going to do & clear about what else needed done. The price was also very fair for the additional work I needed.
