I'm truly impressed how smoothly the overall process went... from their first visit to completion! I highly recommend them and my neighbors called to set up appointment for them to check their roofs!

It didn't. THey kept telling us we would get scheduled. Week after week after week.Meanwhile our ceiling "patch" of wet ceiling continued to grow from the leak. We moved on. I guess they do a good job if they can ever get to you. We are moving on. THey couldn't even get us scheduled. WOnders of ANgies list- beware of the only roofing company with 400 A+ repairs- likely they won't have time for you. The office replies to our inquiry about when we would get scheduled were curt and not entirely professional- perhaps from being tired and overworked. **Update/Reply to Company- (June 1, 2015) I received an email Saturday that Monday we'd be scheduled. Monday we were scheduled for the crew to come out on Tuesday, at 2pm. In answer to Mr. Gavin's reply, he erroneously indicated 14 days ago when in fact it was 5/13. I posted the review on May 30th. 17 days. And the ceiling panel is starting to detach from the weight of the leak. I look forward to getting this taken care of. I will update this based on the quality/timeliness of work, given weather constraints going forward. Update/Reply to Company- (June 8, 2015) It turns out it was a chimney cap that needed to be replaced. Great work and detailed explanation provided by their repair technician. I did not indicate a review on price as I have not gotten the total cost of the repair. Under the contract, we are having a 2nd leg of work being performed to replace the ceiling panel inside and potentially address mold as warranted. Update/Reply to Company-(June 24, 2015) I gave them A on quality of work and professionalism. They were quick, succinct and good workers. The estimate process was somewhat suspect- They looked at the damage internally on initial visit, and then from the yard examined the roof for signs of damage. Due to the rain they weren't able to get up on the roof. They provided an estimate of $1,995 to fix the roof, plus $660 from the external repair service to get them in to fix the interior ceiling panel. I went up on the roof with the roofers when they came to do the repair and they pointed out that the cause of the leak was a simple hole in the chimney cap which needed to be replaced. They indicated there was no problem with the rest of the roof structure and no further work was required. When I spoke to the principal contractor, I informed them that all they did was replace a chimney cap. I also confirmed the typical cost of this work by calling a chimney service company in the area who advised that this type of repair would cost $550. That said, Clear Choice Roofing did reduce the overall roof repair invoice from $1,995 to $1,695. Bottom line, if you go with them, you will get good work done, but make sure they get on your roof and provide a complete assessment before locking you in with an estimate that exceeds the cost of the repair. I will update this review with future news if a leak in the same area occurs again.

Great experience with Clear Choice roofing. After a big hail storm, we purchased the big deal to have our roof inspected, pictures taken, and a report filed with our insurance company if needed. There was a bit of a mixup in what we had purchased and they thought we had actually purchased the package that was a bit more expensive and included some limited repairs. They came to inspect the roof, found only a few small problem spots, and applied fixes to them. We only figured out afterwards when I had asked for the report that they had actually done more work than I had purchased. Was a good enough experience that I have brought them back out to bid on the replacement of a backyard balcony with a roof.

Today is a Sunday on a long holiday weekend. A really bad storm came through the neighborhood last night and did some damage to an elderly neighbor's roof. Since more storms are predicted and none of the neighbors knew what to do to fix the roof temporarily, we consulted Angie's list and called the #1 listing. Clear Choice has, for lack of a better word, and online chat system to perform "triage" during off-hours. After the chat, we received a call back withing a reasonable period of time and Vern was dispatched to inspect the roof. Vern was also able to patch the roof up temporarily to prevent further damage from the next expected round of storms. Service like this certainly showed up that Clear Choice earned it's #1 rating on this list.

The DELAYS: So right, everything was smooth and friendly. I'd say overall experience was a "B" average or so. DELAYS would be the major theme though . I was told that I ordered unpopular shingles for this area, and it took a while for them to come in. No biggie. But then they under ordered- leaving the job incomplete for a couple weeks. (During which time Austin experienced the Seattle-like onslaught of never ending mist rain.) Luckily there were enough shingles to cover the main house. Only not enough for part of the ridge line, the deck cover, and the chimney. Then they came back and only had enough for the deck cover. So, then we waited for the chimney to be complete for another week. The GOOD: Very friendly managers came out to make sure everything was ok. Even came out during a storm unannounced to make sure no leaks under the unfinished deck cover. (Which they did a wonderful job on in the end.) I was up on the roof trimming trees the first day, and the crew was cool and worked around me. OVERALL: I've heard nightmare stories. This was not one of them. I'm admittedly a high, attention-to-details guy, and Clear Choice accommodated me when I saw something out of place. Just be patient if there are delays... and order popular shingles if you want the work done in the same 3-4 weeks from start date.

Gavin was professional, punctual, and friendly. He did even more than we expected and gave us some good advice as well. We will definitely use Clear Choice Roofing for any future issues.

Clear Choice roofing was very professional. The workers were courteous and punctual. They arrived on time as scheduled and kept the area around my house picked and clean. I would definitely refer them to friends and family and will be calling them for any future roofing needs.

scheduled for roof inspection and repair if needed. shockingly I was told I need a new roof, if i just want to repair it, "go to smaller company". I then called two different roofing companies for inspection for second opinions - no replacement needed, just needed a few shingles replaced and some other minor repairs (painting and sealing ...). also the other company provided pictures of various findings on the roof and specified exactly where/what needed fixing, while Clear Choice did not provide anything but just that it needs to be replaced. this experience made me doubtful about Clear Choice - seems like they just want to sell me a new roof, otherwise I am wasting their time. I am not sure I can trust them for honest opinion.

The gentleman that came to my house were very friendly and professional. I appreciated them calling me giving me a heads up on time and how long till i should expect them etc. Very honest about the work needed and informative, i will gladly being using them for my repairs needed on my roof.

Due to recent storms, they have pulled in extra help and the roofer that looked at our roof was from Alabama (Wade James). He had a 1/2 hour time slot to inspect our roof. He was on the property for a maximum of 13 minutes . He sent an e-mail that stated: "Having completed a full inspection of the exterior of the home, severe hail damage was discovered on approximate 3/4 of the roof, gutters, and windows. " 1) a "full inspection" takes more than 13 minutes - particularly for our steep roof with 3 distinct sections (that require separate ladder access) 2) no photographic evidence was initially provided 3) when evidence of above claims was requested... he sent pictures of someone else's roof (the pictures included a ridge line that does not exist on our roof & the amount of damage in the pictures did not match the status of our roof) 4) upon inspection by another party: there were only 3 new hail damage bruises found 5) upon inspection by another party: there was no gutter damage found 6) upon inspection by another party: 6 out of 46 windows had damaged weather stripping (no broken/chipped glass or frames) In terms of punctuality... this inspection was originally scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. He did not show and it was not until 4 hours later that it was tentatively rescheduled. The final reschedule period wasn't scheduled until the following afternoon. He was on-time for the rescheduled schedule. But I must rate punctuality low, due to the initial lack of punctuality and communication of any delays he was having in his schedule.

The bid deal did not turn out as good. They did not find any issues, although I had asked them to check something, but they didn't see it, although I had to send pictures, and the guy said it was alright. They came while I was gone.

It was good. The nice thing was that they handled all of the interaction with the insurance company. In the past, I was trying to deal with the insurance company directly and they basically took all the contact info from the foreman and handled that for me. They were pretty quick. They were in and out within just a day for the whole project. They were good. For the roof itself, it was reasonable. I don’t think it was fantastic. It wasn’t highly discounted but it was what I expected and again, it was working the insurance company. It was going to be a certain amount of money base on deductible. .

Clear Choice quoted a great price for additional repairs we requested, and the work was exceptional. I appreciated the photos of before the repair and those that included stages of the repair.

I could not recommend Clear Choice Roofing more. Not only were they WAY cheaper than the other two companies I received quotes from (as in half the cost!), but they were very prompt in sending someone out to give me an estimate. Once I scheduled the repair (we had two holes were the decking had rotted on the roof over our entryway), the crew showed up on time and were in and out in under 2 hours. I was dreading getting our roof fixed because I assumed it would be a costly, annoying process but Clear Choice Roofing proved me wrong on all counts. I will definitely be using them again if any other issues with our roof arise.

Gavin was great. He did a fine job in caulking one of the roof vents that were leaking, along with other preventative caulking in other areas of the roof. After telling him that our solar guy had caulked the same roof vent but it wasn't holding up for long, Gavin said he used some high quality roof caulking that lasts 100 years. Hope that is true! So far it has been fine.

Clear Choice Roofing fixed a roof leak that 3 other roofing companies misdiagnosed. When I explained the problem to Mike, he listened carefully and performed a thorough inspection until he found the cause of the leak: improper flashing installation when the house was built 20 years ago! Then they installed two solar attic fans with thermostats that were purchased from Home Depot ($900 for fans). All the work looks great and I'm very happy with the value I received.

very punctual. using an Angies Lise Deal - $99 - this was a very good deal. excellent staff, did great job and did not push to sell extra services, since all i needed was coveredb by my pre-paid deal. very pleased and got more then $99 in peace of mind. thank, and will call again.

Repair held until January 2015. Provider came back out to tack down loose shingles. February 2015 winds created more loose shingles. Called Provider, to request new roof but no response. Had Neighbor tack down loose shingles.

During the initial inspection Mike suggested I get an insurance appraisal, which ultimately covered the entire cost. He worked with the insurance inspector and handled all the subcontractors during the construction and did the final inspection. From beginning to end I had a single point of contact handling all aspects of my job, and he was always very professional. We had some problems with some subcontractors, but it was taken care of in a timely and satisfactory manner at no additional cost to myself, and I'm very pleased with both the process while it was ongoing and the final result. I would not hesitate to recommend Clear choice roofing.

Roof needs replacement. Had old hail and wind damage. Mike Ludlow inspected the roof and caulked an area that looked like the source of a leak we noticed on an interior wall He was professional and courteous and patiently answered all my questions. I'm so happy I took advantage of this Angie's List deal!
