I hired him to transform the front of my traditional home. He drew out an incredible drawing that I loved. When it came time to do the installation of the drawing, he had no idea what he was doing. Since he couldn't install what he drew, his drawing kept changing and decreasing in quality. He asked for $15,000 up front to the job, he didn't take the time to prepare and/or describe a schedule and quote of his work. After pouring the driveway he designed he got upset that $6/ft was too expensive for aggregate. At this point he began to install his hardscape design, and changed the original plan several times to accomodate for his poor installation and planning. He waited until the day I had a school fundraiser with 80 ppl at my home to come over and install a walk way to the front door. He used limestone instead of the lueters material that we had originally chosen at the stoneyard. That day, he asked me for a second draw of $15,000. I requested accountability for his spending. That was the last time we saw him. I emailed him to find out where he was, and he told me that he would not come to finish the work until we paid him more money. It was completely unprofessional. I got scammed for $30,000. My $45K project of ultimate transformation turned out to be a nightmare. Do Not Use C.L. Williams. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. My yard looks awful. Landscape bids to complete the project include the cost of removing all of his work, on top of getting the desired outcome.
