CHURCHILL'S FIRESIDE & PATIO

I went to the store in February to discuss a fireplace remodel project. I met quickly with Jodie who requested I send her an email with photos of my current fireplace and what I wanted for a new fireplace and surround. I sent her the email that afternoon and she responded that she’d get back to me shortly about the plan get started with the project. I never heard from her again. In September, hoping my email may have just gotten lost with Jodie, I emailed the general contact email address hoping to get a better response. Within a few hours, one of the co-owners, Dorothy, emailed back saying they could definitely help me with my project and to contact either Jodie or Amber. Since things didn’t work out with Jodie, I emailed Amber. She replied that day saying she can definitely help and that the next step was to schedule an appointment at my house with her and her suggested contractor to determine an estimate. She said she would discuss availability with the contractor and get back to me. After a week of no contact, I emailed her to follow up. She responded within a few hours providing her availability and said she was waiting on the contractor who was rather busy, but would respond in a couple of days. A few days later, there was still no response from the contractor (who had been copied on this email chain from the beginning), and I emailed her again asking if there was any update. Amber replied and said she could come for the meeting in a couple of days (without the contractor). We scheduled a date and time to meet at my house, and Amber never showed up. She didn’t even call (I had given her my number in case she was delayed for any reason). I tried twice to contract with this company for my remodel project and was completely blown off by both of the employees the co-owner suggested. I contacted this company based on the positive reviews. I even gave the company the benefit of the doubt after my initial attempt didn’t work out thinking my discussion with Jodie just got lost in the shuffle. It’s unfortunate because I was really looking forward to doing business with Churchill’s, but as a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and consideration.

We visited their showroom and Julia helped us select the gas log set that most suited our desires and needs. We were able to get installation in one day. The tech. that came checked over our fireplace and did a very through job on the installation. He totally cleaned up all of his mess (very little of that) and was done within an hour. I would do business with them again and would be happy to recommend them to others.

Excellent showroom display of wide variety of available designs for custom fireplace doors. All door options we saw were of exceptional quality, and prices reflected this. Total order was at top end of range we had expected to pay for a top quality, turn-key installation. Selection and ordering were well handled. Owners Ray and Dorothy personally visited home, on time as scheduled, for guaranteed-accurate measurement for our doors. Measurement visit added $40 to project cost, but worth it to ensure custom order would perfectly fit. Doors arrived as scheduled, but with an unacceptable imperfection. This was a problem in manufacturing, not the fault of Churchill's. World-class response from Churchill's, proactively working with their equally committed supplier to make it right. Two cycles required to correct the problem extended total time from initial selection to completed installation from estimated 6-weeks to 14-weeks, but no worries. We are totally delighted with the doors and their installation, and particularly Churchill's professionalism in ensuring our total satisfaction.

The owner is always at the store. She is awesome. I picked the installer because when they install it s like an art to them.

It went great overall. They came on time when they said they would and made sure to keep me happy. The product is good and they installed it well it seems. It looks very nice. Their prices were reasonable as well.

Overall, it went well. The only two comments that I have is: 1)When we bought the fire logs they first directed us to the more expensive sets. Only when I informed them what our neighbor had paid did they show us the cheaper sets, and, 2)They over scheduled the installer; as result he had to come back a second time.

Wow, they are a model of efficiency and quality. I was very impressed by my salesperson (who I believe was the owner) and the installation person. BOTH exceedingly knowledgeable and professional. I really enjoy doing business with folks who have their brains and are organized!! I had previously tried to get gas logs at a competitor, and nobody knew anything, etc. etc. Forget that! So I headed to Churchill's and highly recommend them, as all of my questions and logistical questions were answered immediately and the whole process was painless.
