This was a major renovation of an existing deck--involving (1) a demolition of a large horizontal structure (approx. 358 sq ft of deck boards & stair treds), (2) the retention and strengthening of vertical structures (existing pergola & deck frame/support joists), (3) the replacement of most of the outer lattice & all of the railing. Also, finishing off with total re-staining. Planning & design by Mike went smoothly, as he is a good communicator. His crew worked hard and their work was meticulous. The results were beyond my expectations.

I was very pleased with the work CCWW did on my front porch. My old support post had rotted at the bottom and the railing was starting to fall apart. Even though it's a small porch, it was beyond what I felt comfortable with trying to repair myself (primarily since the post was supporting part of the roof). After contacting a few companies that apparently weren't interested in messing with a relatively small project (and/or gave me quotes that were over my budget), I came across Capitol City Wood Works. I was impressed by Mike's willingness to listen to the design changes that I was considering for the overall look of the post/railing, and he even offered to come up with some potential options for replacing the post, railing, and balusters. After agreeing on the new design/materials (and getting a very reasonable price quote), the install was scheduled. The finished product is VERY different from what I had before, yet gives my porch a distinct look that works with my house. The installation was done very well and in a timely manner. It's hard to tell that it's a retrofit even where the new post and railings tie into the house siding and porch ceiling. I highly recommend Capitol City Wood Works for quality work at a very good price!!!

Mike and his crew at CCWW recently replaced/repaired my wood privacy fence that was damaged or even 'downed' by the Memorial Day storms. Mike went beyond what he quoted for the project on some issues encountered. My wife and I are very pleased with his 'professionalism' displayed with our 'new' and repaired fence. We will certainly consider CCWW for other future home improvement projects that his company can provide.

Cap. City Wood Works was not the low bidder, but I was very impressed with Mike when he came to give me the bid. He made a thorough inspection of the project and when the work was done; he cleaned up and hauled off the debris to my complete satisfaction. He was very professional, and accommodating.

Mike and his team were extremely professional and did great work! Mike is as honest an individual as you will find in the contracting industry. If you have a deck, fence, patio or porch that needs some love this company is the best company to hire for the job. Extremely reasonable pricing for the work completed and even had to purchase extra materials and the quote didn't change. This is the ultimate sign of an honest contractor. Very professional service and quality of work

CCWW did a lot of work at my house: from pressure washing, to repair and painting of the porch, facia, windows, door entries, replacement of front and rear entry doors, and building of a 10' x 20' pergola. The crew was very courteous, quality conscious, and did excellent work. I plan on using them again and would recommend to all of my friends.

He was extremely meticulous; more of a perfectionist than I was. I thought he was extremely ethical and reasonable the way he priced things originally and communicated with me really well about any unexpected changes. Just a pleasure to work with. I've had him out to do a variety of projects; both interior and exterior. I have recommended him to others becuse he's just so conscientious and fun to work with.

I've had them do several projects for me at different properties. Mike takes care of me and the bill is always very reasonable. I've even had to tell Mike that he cannot give his time away. They do great work.
