I am an interior designer and had two closets designed for a client and ordered these in December 2020. It is august of 2021 and the closet still is not done. The rep Mariana we worked it was beyond incompetent and unprofessional, not to mention entitled and very cold and impersonal. We paid over $10000 for these very small closets and they have done nothing but provide an untimely, faulty design, shotty workmanship and poor overall customer service- from the rep, to the installers, to the scheduling manager. It’s all been a horrible experience. We have tried to escalate the situation to management, just to find them over stretched , and though polite for a change, have gotten zero done to help our situation. Still hoping to wrap this up within the year but who knows. Stay far far away.

I made arrangements to go ahead with the install for two of the four closets that I plan on having done, after meeting Shanna and seeing the designs that she came-up with for all of my closets. I did just two to begin with and will do the other two after some other projects get done. On the day of the install, David, showed up on time and fully prepared to get right to work. He was dressed very neat and tidy. It was amazing how fast the installation went and how beautiful the closets turned out. He showed me how everything worked, and when he left, he made sure that everything was completely clean where he had been working. I was totally impressed with my entire experience from start to finish with California Closets and plan to use them again. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.
Description of Work: Master closet renovation. Hall/Entry Closet renovation. Shanna with California Closets came to my home, listened to what I was wanting to do, and help me to put words to my dreams. She then took extensive measurements of all of the spaces, and said that she would meet with me in a few days with some diagrams back at the studio. When we met, Shanna had thought up several wonderful designs for me to look at and that we could "play around with" to better suit what I may want. It was very easy and the designers are wonderful to work with!

The provider was about 45 minutes late for the appointment. Everything else was great. The provider was helpful, informative, and very talented. The one drawback was the cost. Options from 2350-2700 for a small closet seemed outrageous. Even small features like hooks were $50+

There are times when you learn a lot more about a person or business when they are faced with a difficult challenge. I can’t commend California Closets enough for their commitment to follow through and total customer service and satisfaction. We recently purchased a new luxury Garden Home in Lakeway where we needed to get everything possible out of our closet space. California Closets tirelessly worked with us to deliver a beautiful, well-organized and highly efficient solution for four different and very challenging spaces. The closet system provided in our tech center is really incredibly ingenious from its under cabinet lighting to custom radius surfaces. The entire system just works incredibly well. The bedroom closets are equally lovely with brilliant use of a combination of drawers and hanging space. Because of California Closets commitment to customer satisfaction and a considerable amount of ingenuity and creative design we’ve managed to comfortably fit into a very challenging down-sizing from 4,200 square feet to just 1,800 (of highly usable) square feet. Please consider this my unhesitating recommendation. These guys rock!
Description of Work: Installed custom cabinet and storage solutions in two walk-in master bedroom closets, one bedroom semi walk-in closet and a tech and business center, which effectively turned a entry way closet into both an office and AV nerve center.

We had met with the sales rep once in the beginning of the process and after many email revisions again at the end of the design phase. We were told that it would be installed in one visit. The earliest appointment was approximately 3 weeks in the future. At the time we were unaware that the installer would be coming from San Antonio. The installer was to arrive between 9 and 11 am. We received a call about 11 am from him telling us he was lost. He arrived at about 11:45 am. Several times throughout the day we heard him on his hands-free cell phone talking to friends for up to 30 minutes per call. He “finished” at approximately 6 pm. When I inspected the work I found: 1) Left shelving panel defective since holes for shelf adjustment did not line up with the corresponding panel, 2) desktop seam was very visible and uneven towards the front, 3) the molding between the unit and the walls was missing, 4) the file drawers were missing the hangers, and 5) the molding that covered the shelf securing strip on the back wall was the wrong color. I took pictures and called the sales rep. The next morning we agreed that a different installer would come to the home with all of the parts to fix and complete the installation the next day between 11 am and 1 pm. The next day the installer called at about 1 pm and was lost. He arrive at the home at 1:30 pm. By 2:30 pm he told us that he was still missing parts and that another installer would come the following morning and complete the job. The following morning at 9 am the third installer arrived and completed the job by 10:30 am. The only concession from CA Closets was upgrading the desktop which was more for their convenience since they would have had to order a new one to match. While the finished product is as we expected the extra time consumed and frustration make this unacceptable.
Description of Work: We contracted for a floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall, built-in cabinet unit. It is approximately 11’ w x 8’ h x 2’ d. It includes two cabinets with double-doors, 4 large drawers, 2 legal-size lateral file drawers with a wall-to-wall desktop over all of that and numerous open shelves above.

California closets made an appointment 1 week after called and then had a cancellation and came 2 days later. The consultant was great giving Ideas on how to best use the space. The installation took 2 days but they did a great job. Our space is much more productive.
Description of Work: They replaced the clothes racks in the master bedroom and added shelves for shoes and other clothes along with an island in the middle. The entry closet also has much more storage space. In the garage we have a storage room that now has shelves and it is great to be able to see all our stuff.
