They are a small local hardware company that has been here for many years, and they have a very high reputation. The salesman was extremely knowledgeable, they have a much better service than some major stores, and they are going to deliver and set it up for free. They will even take away my old one for free, and the other major store can’t even come close to that. It’s not a big bucks store, it’s small and personable, they have employees that are very knowledgeable and attentive to service. I would rate them as excellent for understanding what I want, having knowledge about the grill and the alternatives, and the fact that their service is superior. I don’t get the same standard of service at the big bucks stores, their service is lousy.

I had no idea my Saab required not one, but two unusual screwdrivers to replace my expired plates. I went to Breeds hardware department to find someone who knew just what I needed. Not only did they immediately locate just the right tools, they went to the car and replaced the plates for me, insisting that I didn't need to pay for the screwdrivers/service if all I wanted was the plates installed. Of course, I bought the screwdrivers so I would have them in the future. They have also replaced hardware for a broken clasp on a Vuitton bag, bird-feeders damaged by fat, ravenous squirrels, a set of Allen wrenches for a door I couldn't lock, and fixed any other problems I brought in there. Breed is also known for having an extensive line of gourmet cookware, china, glassware, gifts, cards, a small but elegant garden center and an old-fashioned candy counter with bulk chocolates. Breed & Co is an old-fashioned hardware store in the heart of Westlake with a terrific staff.
