If you want to see the short version of this story, skip ahead to my bottom line. Note: This review is not about the company's pool service, but how they responded to a vehicular accident I had with one of their trucks. In December 2017, I was in a collision with one of the Bluebonnet trucks, and it was absolutely their fault - the driver of the truck even admitted as much to me when he got out of his truck. His exact words were "I didn't see you. I couldn't see past the car next to me, so I just went when the car next to me went." Except it wasn't his turn to go, the car next to him knew that, and the car next to him only revved forward a few inches, but did not actually go across, since it wasn't their turn. Let me describe the accident - a busy 4-way intersection that is normally controlled by traffic light, but the traffic light was out on this day, so it became a 4-way stop. I waited until I was absolutely sure it was my turn to cross, since the people going across the intersection in front of me had 6 lanes to my 2 lanes, and most cars were aggressively darting into the intersection at a speed that was not safe. And that is just what this Bluebonnet Pools guy did - darted into the intersection without ensuring it was actually his turn to go. So I slammed on my brakes, which meant that I avoided T-bone-ing him in the side, and instead my front bumper contacted with his left rear quarter panel. No one was hurt, but my car's bumper was torn off and the AC panel was dented. The driver at the scene of the accident admits it was fault, using the words above, and I am shaken but we go our separate ways. The insurance companies get involved and now Bluebonnet Pools claims it is all MY fault. So I retaliate through my insurance company, and it ends up being declared a "no-fault" accident, since there are no witnesses and the only thing the insurance company has to go on is "He-said, She-said". I have no proof that it was his fault, so I decide to let it go. Even though I can't afford the repairs to my vehicle (it still sits in my driveway unused) and I had to seek counseling over my situational depression surrounding the accident (I felt so helpless in a cruel world where people can cause accidents and then deny all responsibility). I let it go because S* happens, and I really just wanted to put the whole incident behind me and move on. Fast forward to nine months later, long after the insurance case was closed in December. Bluebonnet Pools is SUING my insurance company, saying I was at-fault for the accident. Why now?? If they are going to bring it back up after all this time, then I am going to make sure the world knows what they did. They should not get a pass for their bad behavior. Bottom line: Bluebonnet Pools DO NOT deserve your business. They caused a car accident and then denied all responsibility. They're even suing over the matter. They don't care about the little guy, all they care about is money. They have caused me loads of undue stress and trauma - this definitely ranks in my top 10 most traumatic life situations.
Description of Work: Car needed repair after accident with Bluebonnet Pools - they deny all responsibility. Greedy company with no integrity.

Bluebonnet can be very good--just not consistently so. The extra expense they caused us was painful.
Description of Work: BlueBonnet is better than some services. However, in 2009, when we had the big freeze in February, their workman left halfway during a backwash (!), leaving the plaster in the spa exposed to the freeze. They never offered to do anything about this. We need to have the spa re-plastered, but have been told that we would need to pay for both the pool and the spa re-done, for more than 3000.00. Of the spa had not been drained down, without re-filling, the plaster should have been okay. We left for a Winter vacation the day this was done, and didn't discover the half-done job until we returned. In spite of this, my husband continued to have them come out, until further problems emerged.

Description of Work: They have been servicing my pool for 15 years, which includes leaf removal, water testing, scrubbing the bottom & sides, and cleaning/changing all of the filters. They also backwash once a month (or when needed). The technicians always arrive on time and as scheduled. Anytime I’ve had an issue with the pump, they have responded immediately to make adjustments or repaired the problem. Recently I asked to have my Polaris replaced, since it wasn’t picking up leaves and the line was tangling. Gary attempted to work with the old unit so I wouldn’t have to replace it, but I decided that I wanted a new one. His advice on selection was excellent. He installed it and I’m extremely happy with his service.

Everything went very well as stated above.
Description of Work: My pool motor was working intermittently and giving me a lot of trouble. My pool was turning green so I was eager to get them to come soon. They were booked up but they gave me a date for 2 days later. I was very pleased when they arrived early the next day. Gary was very professional, knew what he was doing and because of my description on the phone, had all the necessary parts to fix my pool. The motor and switch had to be replaced and he also brushed my pool, emptied traps and the pool-sweep bag and talked to me about pool upkeep. I was very impressed with the friendly treatment I got as well as how dedicated and hard working Gary was. He's an experienced and knowledgeable pool expert with years of experience.

They came as scheduled. The guy brushed the sides of the pool, but that was about it. The pump needed attention, but he ignored that. We have a specific chlorine dispenser, but the service guy dropped chlorine tablets into the skimmers (but didn't clean out the skimmer baskets). He didn't backwash nor did he check the pump pressure. He broke a knob on the pump and replaced it without mentioning it to us (we were home when he came for that service visit); the replacement showed up on our bill, but we protested to the main office and had it taken off our invoice. All in all, it was a disappointing experience. We had hoped to find a pool service provider who would actually do full service, but this clearly wasn't the right company.
Description of Work: We hired Bluebonnet to clean and service our swimming pool for a month. They came every other week with the understanding that they would clean, adjust the chemicals, and maintain the pool

Description of Work: Don't remember exact date. Have used them many times over the last 10 years. Very satisfied. At one time they saved me a substantial amount of money on a pool repair. Another company said the leak would require several thousands of dollars in repairs..Bluebonnet fixed it with putty and 10 years later it is still working fine

They are very nice and they explained to me that I can purchase the pool chemicals at a local store to save money. If anything needs repaired, they come and repair it. If I have a complaint, they are very responsive.
Description of Work: The last time I used Bluebonnet Pools they checked the pump, hoses, and water, they added the chemicals for me, and they cleaned the pool.

Excellent, as always. Easy to reach and schedule, prompt, well priced. Repair seems to be effective. Supportive of do-it-yourselfers for pool maintenance.
Description of Work: Have used this company more than once. Most recently was for a leak in the pump. Inspection and repair completed in same visit.

I have been using their services for about fifteen years. They are very professional and are very fast to respond to any problems you might have. They are very fast with getting back with an estimate of the costs. They provide excellent service and I always know when they are coming and there are never any surprises.
Description of Work: They come twice a month to clean and maintain the chemical balance in my pool.

Excellent. They responded within 24 hours of our call. Work completed quickly, was high quality, and they were knowledgeable. We have used this company several times, this is just the most recent.
Description of Work: Leaking water from pool pump. Technician checked for the problem, found that the pump housing was cracked. Part ordered, returned the next day to complete repair.
