Tyler is exceptionally professional and responsive; however, his workmen do not always meet this standard, and this caused poor quality and some incomplete, unacceptable work. But to his credit, Tyler made good on everything -- he made sure he returned until we were satisfied. The price, of course, ended up way higher than we had expected, but we were given the estimate and approved it after they were already out here. Quality control is the issue to stay on top of -- but the Representative of the company fulfilled our expectations without getting frustrated or angry with us (which would have been inappropriate). The grade of "B" is due to Tyler's professionalism.

did not replace the complete unit, called couple of times to come back to complete the job. Eventually we got another vendor to do the job, basically paid twice for the same work.

It turned out really well. They did a good job. There were additional charges because we had them do some other stuff. We were very happy with the service. They had some issues getting the heater installed properly. I think it was more the directions that came with the heater than it was their fault so they had to come back a couple of times to get everything done. Once they got it done, everything was fine.

The fix was very professionally crafted. It looks good, and fits the rest of the house. Ray even found that the problem wasn't as bad as it originally appeared. My yard was cleaned of all the debris after the work was done. I was happy with the outcome & would recommend Best Austin Handyman to anyone.

It went very well. I was prepping a house to sell and I had them do several things. I was a pretty happy camper overall. The only downside was the guy they sent to paint my stucco hadn't actually done stucco painting before – but he still did a great job! The concrete guy also did a great job.

The carpenter was very prompt and professional but the company changed my date and was hard to get hold of.

It was okay. I didn't pay more than the Big Deal price. They did maintenance on two doors but couldn't do another door because it an old 1940s door. I wouldn't say it was outstanding but it wasn't bad. I wish they had the parts on hand because they had to leave to go get parts.

I would not use these people again. They sold a service that they had not qualified person to perform.

.It did not go anywhere, because when time was nearly up for this special, and although they told me my $79.00 would always be good, I could never get them to respond to me after that--respond to me with action, that is. Now I would just like my refund of $79.00 and no unfulfilled promises of what is going to be or could be. I trust other handymen who really did show up and on time and did good work. They have had my money for over a year. They have it, as it went through on my credit card immediately for this supposedly good "Big Deal." Angie's List will undoubtedly be able to confirm that they collected the money for this, as it was done through a "Deal.":

The man that came out was so awesome. He was very hardworking. He was so professional and really helpful. I had purchased wrong parts and he went out and got the correct things that we should have purchased in the first place. He even came in on a Saturday afterwards to finish installing because he had to go to other people and get those parts. I was torn because that was awesome that he would do all that. The only issue I had was that seal on one of the weatherstrip doors still had light coming through after he had left. I didn't complain because he had been so good to us so I didn't want to sound negative. I feel like he would have come back had I said something.

They were promote, they discussed what I wanted to do and then they performed it very good.

That worked out very well. They did a good job. They showed up on time every day which for me is critical when I hire a contractor. The workers were all friendly and hardworking. The quote was reasonable. I think the price was pretty reasonable.

TERRIBLE! The first technician cancelled the first appointment. Then came out a week later and said the job was no problem, and would take 4 hours, which was the terms of my Angie's list coupon). For some unknown reason, that technician did not show up to do the work the following week. Another tech named Chris came out. If you use ABHM, do not, I repeat, do not allow Chris to do work on your house. He made a mess of my back yard, left trash and then expected to collect a check at the end of his day. I looked at his work and immediately said I was not paying for this crap. Cuts all over my siding, the door did not close properly, you could see daylight through the seem between the door, etc.. etc. etc. After a half hearted attempt to convince me to pay and a call to him manager, he left. I talked to management over the next couple of weeks. Although this person was nice, ineffective would be my assessment of the communication. They sent another tech out who actually had skills. Amazingly, this tech went on and on about how many times he has to come out to clean up Chris' mistakes. It took three trips to my house for this tech to finish the job. I called management to settle up the bill, they never answered non did they call me back. A month later I received a bill. I would never, never use this service provided, for anything. Beware.

The service turned out fine. I paid only the Big Deal amount. The guy that they sent was great. The price wasn’t cheap but not outrageous. The quality, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism were all very good.

Came on time but never followed through with an estimate.

Handyman was meticulous and completed all tasks in a timely manner.

He came out and took measurements and never followed through with plans. Said he’d email us but hasn’t. June was last contact. At this point we’d rather have our money back, since we wanted it last spring. Him coming out was very professional and prompt, but we've seen nothing since.

It went great. It took longer than expected but it was done right!!! Quality of work is excellent and communications with the staff/management of this company was first rate.

Excellent work - got more work done than I had expected and everything was done just fine. I will certainly hire them again when I'm ready to get the new baseboards installed.

it went fine. i think some parts could have been done better.

No work was done. Took off to get supplies, hit our neighbor's trunk and never came back. After trying to get in touch with the head of the company, I finally told the secretary/phone person, I did not want them to come back. The job was dropped and there was no offer of a refund. We hired another company to fix our fence.

After many attempts to schedule to someone to do come and take care of our handyman to-do list ...the "handyman" was delayed, and delayed...till he called that he will not make it that day and the promise he will come the following day. That never happened. Nobody followed up to attempt reschedule or to check on things. After another set of attempts (emails and voicemails) to get things going - this time completely unanswered - I had to ask Angie'sList for a refund. ==================== Update: After posting the review, the owner called me personally to apologize and offer his services again, with promises of making it up to me for all the "misunderstandings" and that I will have to deal only directly with him. I agreed to give him another chance, since I still have plenty handyman tasks and projects around the house, and he promised that will come personally to provide an estimate. That did NOT happen, once again the date and time came and passed, without him showing or calling.

The work was done fine. I thought they were a bit expensive but I have nothing to compare it to it. He was verify nice and on time.

The service was awesome and he was very professional.
