He did an incredible job. He do it in half a day. He made a point going in Austin to get the lumber and get some nice pieces of wood. He came back, took the old columns out, put in the new posts, remove the debris, and take them away with him. He also put the trim at the bottom of the post. The man knows what he was doing and did did it rather easily. He came in, did it quickly, and took the trash away with him. He's a pleasant and easy guy to get along with. I wish we had more people/builders like him.
Description of Work: He replaced the columns of the house that were located in the front of the house, on the porch with 6 by 6 four posts.

Robert built a wonderful new addition for me from scratch. He coordinated the subcontractors and also did a lot of the work himself. He is very skilled/talented and can do many things very well: framing, tiling, window installation, painting, laying carpet, deck building, etc. I have used him many times since to do a variety of projects at my house. I have always been happy with the results and trust him completely!! I highly recommend his work.

We got in touch with Robert through a referral from our plumber. Robert is highly skilled in a number of areas. One bathroom was done at a time, so that we had the use of one while he was working on the other. Robert would demolish the old, ugly tile , take out the old fixtures, and basically rebuild from there. He made excellent suggestions about what to put in and what would work aesthetically. Robert's skills resulted in precise and beautiful work. Only word of caution would be that if you are in a big hurry about getting your job done, you may not want Robert. He is meticulous and professional, not doing a "slap and dash" job. Robert will take the time necessary to assure that the job is done correctly to high standards and the work area is kept clean. It is quite obvious that he takes great pride in his work. Lastly, Robert is a good person. I had no qualms about leaving an open house with Robert if I had to run an errand. This is very important if you are having someone work in your house for an extended period of time. I would highly recommend this service to anyone.

Robert dealt with the consulting engineer, architect, subcontractors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and insulation contractors), and city inspectors. All inspections went smoothly, and Robert was very accommodating about my picky tastes (such as wanting to reuse old salvaged maple flooring in one room and a couple of vintage windows). The project was extremely successful, and Robert's work was of the highest quality. I've continued to use him for smaller jobs at my own residence.
