Baass Rental Property

Barbara hired me to paint cabinets. She didn’t allow me to use restroom, she lied to me everyday, stole the key so I had drive back, bullied me into doing extra work, never paid me a dime. Took her to court and won and she stills hasn’t paid. Run don’t walk!

Please do NOT rent from this woman. She is completely crazy! She thinks her rental homes are brand new and nothing fails unless it was caused by the tenant. She never wants to fix anything and when she does she gives you the run around. She hires her friends to fix things in the home so nothing is fixed properly, takes forever to get done, and she will eventually charge you for it out of your deposit. She also makes you manage these people she hires (she negotiates the job and price with them) and expects you to know what they are supposed to do. When we were moving in, the previous tenant left a mess so I requested that the house be cleaned. She gave us the check and said give this to the cleaning ladies when they are done. She did not tell us what they were supposed to do, so when they "finished" working I checked out the house and it was still a mess. They didn't clean anything but they claimed they did what was told to them. When I finally got in contact with Barbara, she just screamed at me and refused to talk to the cleaning ladies. This happened ALOT that I had to micromanage these jobs. Thats what I'm paying you rent for lady! It's not my fault you are managing a property in Victoria from Austin. Another thing that she doesn't know how to do is knock or use a door bell and neither do her workers. Several times I was home when her workers just unlocked the door and walked right in. Another time she just walked into the house and walking in on my boyfriend in the shower. She said she didn't know anyone was home, but the shower is loud and he was playing music. I think she just wanted a peek! She also gets all her rental properties confused. Twice she called me screaming that I didn't do something that we had done then came back saying it was another home. First time she said I didn't pay rent. I had a copy of the check online that she had deposited with her name signed on it. She kept saying, no all my other tenants pay it was you guys! Then she called the next day saying it was another tenant. The second time, she had let us know that the bank was coming to do a value assessment of the home and I told the bank they could come anytime, just to get the key from Barbara's local realtor. I never heard anything about if they came in or not, but a couple weeks later she called screaming that the bank said I refused to let them in the house. I gave her the date they said they were going to be there and proof that I was at work so there was no way unless they called me that I refused to let them in. She called back later saying it was the wrong house. Very frustrating and stressful! She never told us what she was going to take out of our deposit, even after we asked her to do a walk through with us on move out, and she chargd us for things that we did not do or that we had done on move out (she would not know we did it because she never did a move in or move out walk through and she did not check the house out for weeks after we moved out). She also made us trim the giant tree in the front, even though the landscaper that came to do the job said it had not been done in 3-4 years. Our neighbors in the home attached to ours that she also manages has said the same thing about her. Please DO NOT RENT FROM HER! She charges way too much rent for what you are getting and the little managing she actually does! We are paying the same mount of rent in a nice neighborhood with a wonderful landlord!
