It went as promised. The owner and his mother are very warm, welcoming people who I trusted with my mom's old pearls. They seem to love what they do and they are very pleasant to deal with. The pearls were ready a few days later than promised, but I was in no rush. I would go back to them again.

My fiancee and I went to Avant Garde Jewelers to have her daimond necklace modified and pick out men's wedding bands. It took only a couple weeks for the work to be completed. The results were absolutley wonderful and we were ver pleased.

Brian was a pleasure to deal with, he took the time to sit down and explain exactly what he was going to do and estimated the repairs at $25-$30. This was the lowest price that I had been quoted, I had called several other jewelers. He also showed me a light flaw in the diamond using the eyepiece and told me he would move this flaw under the prong to make the diamond look even better. He completed the work in a few days and when I went to pick it up he again sat down with me and explained what he had done. He then told me it was an easier job than he had thought so he only charged me $18. I'll be bringing him all my jewelry repairs from now on.

Showed him what I wanted to do, gave me the price, and he did the work quickly (several days) and did a great job.

I like it a lot. They did a great job. They are fun and great to work with.

I went to Avant Garde. I couldn't get the ring off. I was offered some cream, which did the job. I explained how I'd broken the ring to the receptionist and the owner. I asked that the ring be repaired and antiqued as it had been when I received it from my wife about 37 years ago. I was called about a week later and told the ring was ready. I went back and picked it up.

Excellent! We have used Brian Hoover and Avant-Garde for our jewelry needs for decades. He helped us design and created our wedding rings, which are utterly unique. I have a gorgeous diamond anniversary ring that he and my husband designed and he created, and since I like to wear it all the time, I needed to re-size several other rings to fit other fingers if I wanted to wear them simultaneously. Brian and his staff took the time to size a couple of different fingers, made recommendations and then did an outstanding job on the re-sizing.
