Do not do business with this company. We bought LVP flooring from them for our home; downstairs, stairs and the upstairs. Initial install seemed to go well and the crew was attentive. Unfortunately, they did not do the float correctly and the floor creaked, cracked, and shifted underfoot all over the house. Store owner claimed it was normal. I pressed the issue and he had the mfg send in an inspector. They found several spots (5+) areas that were outside the acceptable tolerances. Owner begrudgingly agreed to have the spots repaired under his 2 year warranty window. This repair took months to receive and even after the repair was completed, same problems in the same spots. When this was brought to his attention, he was less than happy and claimed it was normal again; that I was just being overly sensitive and had unrealistic expectations. 3rd attempt at the repair came to find out the product connection design/mechanism had changed and "no one knew" about it. So not we are months on from there, waiting for a 4th attempt at a proper install/fix. We are well beyond a year into this installation and we still have terribly laid/installed floors. Do not do business with this company or with the owner Tim Redwine. Not a good company, not a good installation and not a good owner. Avoid or use them at your own peril/wasted time & money.
Description of Work: Remove carpet & tile. Install LVP on 1st floor, 2nd floor and the stairs.

He seemed pleasant enough. He sent me home with 2 samples and prices for the work I needed done. After getting home it was clear that I wanted one of the 2 samples he sent home with me. We emailed over a month, outside of him complementing me, the prime focus was on coming to my house to measure to "save" me more money. He stood me up the first time, no call no show. The second time he actually made it out. He looked at my floor, in every closet and every room and then was going to leave. I asked about measuring, I think he had forgotten that that was the auspices of which he talked himself into my house. He took measurements which were very sloppy like he was just going through the motions. He had all kinds of excuses as to why he wasn't going to provide me an estimate, he had to watch his grand kids, he was off work, you name...bottom line is I could not depend on his follow through. I never got an estimate let alone new flooring.
Description of Work: I went into the store at 9231A Burnet Road, just north of 183. Michael Vasko was the only employee in the store.

We used them because it was local and I know that they do a lot of business in our neighborhood. The type flooring we wanted was something they carry; we wanted vinyl flooring for durability and a lot of the other floor stores specialized in hardwood and tile. We liked this company because they had a wide range of what we were looking for.
Description of Work: We went with Austins FloorStore. They installed new flooring throughout our house.

Overall and in all categories, I rate this company as A plus. I first met my salesman, Mr. John (Cedar Park), in October of 2012. He helped with the selection of flooring (hardwood, carpet and ceramic tile) for a 2000 SF single family dwelling. I did not hesitate to contact him again in September of 2013, to purchase hardwood flooring for another property. Mr. John listens to what the customer plans to do, then shows the product he has available to best meet those expectations. His prices are competitive, if not the lowest in town. He has always followed up with a site visit to verify dimensions, etc. My occasional dealing with his colleagues have been equally pleasant and beneficial. I do not hesitate to recommend Mr. John to anyone who ever needs a flooring store.
Description of Work: Sold hardwood flooring.

This is the second time we have used Austins Floor Store. The first time was a little over a year ago where we purchased flooring for our office space and had them do the installation as well. They did such a great job; on time, on schedule, great pricing and absolutely no problems for the entire year. So when we had another project I did not hesitate to use them again. This time it was for a residential property with 4 rooms requiring removal of carpet, prepping and installation of flooring, transitions and quarter rounds. His workers were again on time, professional and quick. The work was done as promised and to my satisfaction. Tim has always been fair and reasonable with his pricing. Perry is his right hand man and a great person to work with. He is always available when I call and have questions or if there's something I don't like, he fixes it immediately. There is always an open line of communication and his goal is customer satisfaction, by way of his actions. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone or use them again as we intend to do. In looking for flooring companies, we did a lot of research and spoke to different contractors. We have found that Tim, Perry and the entirecrew at Austins Floor Store to be competent and willing to go above and beyond what is needed to make their customers happy. Also, their prices are fair and reasonable (very important).

I worked with Tim, one of the owners of the company. The showroom is not fancy, but Tim did have enough of a selection for me to choose exactly what I wanted. The price he gave me was a great price compared to other floor store chains. I was a little worried because of the great price that they may try to nickle and dime me at the end of the project, but that did not happen, and Tim kept to his word and charged me only what we had agreed upon. They were very good at what they do. I kept a close eye on them during installation, and much to my surprise, they never tried to take any shortcuts, but instead did a really great job. The only negative thing I would say is that they did not bring anything to cover furniture or anything else while they were removing the tile, (it gets everything very dusty), so if you have tile removed, buy you're own plastic covers before they start. Other than that, these guys were the hardest working contractors I've ever seen. They completed the job in 3 days. I've dealt with a lot of shady contractors over the years and I must say that these guys were really easy to work with them and they did a really good job. I will definetly use them again and would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: The installers removed approximately 640 sq feet of tile, and replaced with new tile. They also removed approximately 870 sq ft of carpet and hardwood floors, and replaced those with new wood laminate flooring. (I had removed all the baseboards before they started because I was told they couldn't guarantee no damage to the walls if they did it. I don't think they want to do that part of the job, and after I did it myself I understand why!).
