When Corey Moeller showed up, he lied and said that the Angie's List offer was not what he was offering. We thought that was odd since the Angies' list ad was pretty specific. Since he said he could not honor the Angie's list deal, we told him that we were not interested. He said he could give us the deal but only if we got a refund from Angie's List and paid him directly instead. We agreed and scheduled a time for a measurement of the shower door. He missed the appointment, but showed up the next week without an appointment. After measuring and getting order details, he asked for full payment upfront. Again, we declined but offered a deposit amount of 1/2. He agreed to take the half as a deposit. That was the last time we saw him. We didn't hear from him for awhile until we finally got in touch via email. (His mobile phone was always straight to voicemail.) At this point (3 months later and no shower door) we simply demanded a refund of our deposit. He agreed and said he was sorry. Corey said that he would have our deposit back to us by the end of the week. By the end of the week...nothing. We kept calling him, but by then, his phone was disconnected. We got in touch with him a few times over the following months via e-mail. On one e-mail, he said he would have his Aunt come by and drop off our deposit and another saying that he would be in town on Friday morning and that he would call. None of those things ever happened. Finally, I received an e-mail from him saying that he was in San Antonio at a cancer treatment facility and that he would get our deposit back ASAP. We later discovered that there is a similar complaint with the same MO on BBB. Corey told that person (who lost $300 to this guy) that he had he had pneumonia. We've been trying to get our money back for months. The last contact was May 11th via email saying he would drop it by that Friday. He has since stopped responding to emails and phone calls. As a whole, we are very disappointed with Angies' list as well. These people are supposed to be vetted and current, but the complaints on the BBB website were from a time when Austinite Glass was still listed as a partner in good standing on Angie's List.

Was a really bad experience - i am now thinking I should not use Angie's list.

Contractor did a poor job selecting appropriate glass for application. Contractor did a poor job in scheduling work and an extremely poor job in following up when a window had problems leaking water. Replacement windows were poorly sealed. Shower glass install was sloppy, poorly sealed and the door was hung crooked. Contractor burned a hole in our carpet, did not report it. Once it was reported, a discount was applied. Overall bad experience, would not recommend to anyone.

Cory was excellent throughout the entire process. He gave us an amazing price plus a warranty. The first time he came out he took measurements. Although he was a little late for the appointment we were in communication and flexible with times. He told us how long it would take to get the glass in a few days and he was right on schedule. He was also able to work around our schedule. When he installed the glass there were a few problems with it (too short of a pane). He came out the very next day and we talked about how to fix things and he took additional measurements for a larger pane. He said multiple times that his goal is to make us happy. He was apologetic for the mistake, but I think maybe the glass was cut too small...anyway, he came out today and it looks perfect. I am confident in his work and would absolutely use him again and highly refer him to others. Compared to other glass companies, the quality is exactly what I expected but with a much better price and a long warranty. He is the owner and did all the work himself. He also took my old shower glass to dispose of for me, which I really appreciated. Not only is Cory professional, he is a really nice person. He never tried to up sell me or made crazy suggestions like some companies do. I highly recommend Austinite Glass!

The first visit was measuring and an estimate was given. Chad gave me a discount that I found in an ad and ordered the windows. I was given the names of two references both highly recommended this company. The windows were installed the following week. The company called, told who would be out to install the windows and when they would be there. The installation took less than an hour to complete. The installers were very professional and courteous.
