AUSTIN WINDOW FASHIONS

We have been loyal customers of Austin Window Fashions since moving to Texas in 2003. They have provided excellent service and products. Our Hunter Douglas Duette Veriglide for the large sliding glass door broke after 13 years. After considering shutters and other options, we decided to order a new Veriglide. Our Austin Window Fashions' representative was honest and courteous. She gave us a good price and was accurate on the time of delivery. The installers, Jason and Travis, were courteous and gave us good advice on the care and maintenance of the Veriglide. They arrived on time, took down the old Duette and installed the new one in less than one hour. They cleaned the area of all debris. This was another good experience with Austin Window Fashions.

I had the best experience with Tara K and Austin WIndow Fashions. I shopped around and had other consultations but found Tara to be very knowledgeable and a joy to work with. Tara understood my needs and what I wanted and was able to put together a lineup of possible solutions and walked through each one individually; banded shades, silhouette and roller shades and a bevy of colors. I really enjoyed Tara's enthusiasm, humor and professionalism. I will definitely use Austin Window Fashions in the future!

I could not be happier with our blinds and shades from Austin Window Fashions! Easy, smooth experience! Working with Tara was the BEST! My husband and I recently built a new house and needed to have blinds and shades installed on 23 windows shortly after closing. I was able to schedule an appointment for a quote a few weeks prior. When Tara came out she was incredibly friendly and professional. She took accurate measurements and made helpful suggestions regarding materials and fabrics. Her selection of fabrics for the shades was great! I found two that work perfectly for us! Over the next week or so, Tara was very patient and provided a few different quotes based on follow up questions that we had. In the end we place our order and felt that we would be getting high quality window coverings at a fair price. The day before we moved in our blinds and shades were installed. Perfect timing! The installation technician was on time, professional and tidy! The whole process was smooth and seamless…only 4 weeks from the first meeting/quote until installation (only 2 weeks once the order was placed). And the blinds and shades look great! I absolutely love how the shades for our large upstairs loft look! Thank you Tara!

Easy and quick. Designer came to home to measure and determine colors. Provided good recommendations. Installer came as scheduled. No problems.

We went to the factory to see the products which was very helpful. The designer Tara, came to the house with samples as well, which was also very helpful. Tara was extremely professional and responsive. The treatments were installed within the original timeframe provided. I would highly recommend this company

Great experience. The set up in the store was helpful and the home consult was friendly, no pressure and allowed us to get a good feeling for what the shutters would look like. Shutters are beautiful and the install was professional.

She took the time to explain options and providing useful insight. Her follow-through was flawless. Jason, the installer, was on time, thorough, and efficient. This was the second time I've used this company and would do it again if necessary.

We were real happy with it, good success. They were prompt and install was flawless. Work’s great! It was a little pricey, but I’m happy with it. They were here when they said they would be. For window treats, they did a nice job. They did a real nice job of making sure that it would fit right the first time.

Tara was my consultant and she was truly exceptional. She was very knowledgeable, extremely patient, and above all she has the passion to insure that her customers are completely satisfied. She answered all my questions in detail and never pressured me like the typical salesperson . Their products honestly sell themselves. The company has a very high reputation in the business. The quality of their wood shutters offered by O"hare is hard to beat, particularly the lifetime warranty that is transferable to new owners if you sell your house in the future. There is a reason why other companies in the area can not offer a lifetime warranty because they are not confident of their product. I got 5 estimates from different companies and believe me they are by far the best in area! Thank you Tara for all your help! You were a joy to work with and I am using your company for a second time this month.

We worked with Tamara Kulvicki and she was great! She was extremely knowledgeable and gave us great advice. She also was very personable and I felt like she was truly invested in making sure we made the right choices. She was great about explaining the pros and cons of each and she was extremely detailed in her explanation of the process. We shopped around and Austin Window Fashions had the best prices as well.

Kara did a fantastic job consulting us about the myriad options, and quickly adjusted the quotes after the many changes we made. Randy did a great job installing. Our shutters and window treatments look fantastic!

They were great. I would definitely use them again. I had one window that doesn't fit quite right and I know they'll fix it and it just didn't fit correctly but other than that they were fantastic.

Overall, they were an A+. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Tara listened carefully to what we wanted and then showed us various options. She showed us all the features so we could get exactly what's right for our house. Her estimate for delivery and installation was also accurate. The installers were great too.

Kathy, our salesperson, was very easy to work with. She was knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, we had a few issues finding a color that matched our window sills. After two paint jobs, the color still didn't match. Kathy put together a packet of paint samples for us to borrow so that we could look at the colors in different areas of the home during multiple times of the day. This did the trick and we selected a paint color. They painted just one shutter and brought it to our home to double check. We then had the rest of the shutters painted this color (unfortunately, this is where we had to pay for the paint job which was about $1000) and installed for a perfect match. Throughout the frustrating process, both Kathy and the installer remained friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the installer's supervisor who came during the visit where we found that the second paint color chosen didn't match was really trying to say he couldn't see that the paint didn't match while both of his installers were honest and said they could see the difference in paint colors. I know he wanted us to install the shutters as is and be done with the job, but it was clear they didn't match and I felt very unhappy that he was trying to get us to install them when even his team said they could see the paint colors didn't match. I was very impressed with the honesty of the installation team even though their supervisor was trying to finish the installation whether they matched or not.

After a quick search on Angie's List I selected Austin Window Fashions to make and install my window shutters. Laurie was the person whom assisted me throughout the process - she knew the product, was extremely diligent, professional, responsive and made the experience (and I'm a complete novice) an easy one to execute. Additionally the rest of the team - Laurie's colleagues - were equally professional and courteous when Laurie was on a day off. Would strongly recommend using this firm for your shutter needs.

Kathy Wallace was very helpful in the showroom with what options we could have. We knew what we wanted, and she was very clear about what they could provide. She answered all my questions well. When she came to measure the windows at the house, she helped match color samples and made sure everything was ordered just right with the pulls on different sides for different windows because of window positioning. She was very punctual in giving us a quote for different options. When the blinds came in, they were installed by Jason. He came earlier than the scheduled time and was very quick and efficient. He explained about warranty, removal, care, etc. He was very professional. Our blinds are perfect. Thank you!

Good overall. Kathy is wonderful. She helped us narrow down our window treatment choices by being both knowledgeable, helpful, but not pushy. She was organized and punctual for the consultation appointment and helped us efficiently choose everything we wanted, including all the different options. There was an issue with a broken louver during install but they took responsibility for it and took care of it. The shutters look great and are well-made.

I could not be happier. Leslie was great with helping me define what I wanted and the shutters look perfect. Jason showed up on time and was very efficient with the installation. Both Leslie and Jason were very conscientious about explaining all of the details to me. Wish I'd done it sooner!

Kathy was great to work with- she was responsive to our questions, quick to find solutions, and a good communicator. She worked up several bids for us, until we got everything right - even suggesting that we delay placing our order by a few days to take advantage of a product offer. The scheduler was very understanding of our need to delay installation. The installer was also top notch - professional, careful with his tools, and attentive to detail. We will call Austin Window Fashions again if we need more blinds.

Laurie was extremely responsive and worked with us to make sure our needs were met. She meticulously measured the six windows which needed to be customized due to the shape and the fact that it was a bay window area. She called to suggest some other things and everything was like clock work. The installer was absolutely fantastic and extremely professional. It was seamless from the first meeting, to picking our final selection and the installation. I recommend them without reservation

The support and customer service from the Austin Window Fashions team was tremendous. From start to finish, the entire experience was very welcoming and professional. We first visited their showroom to get a good look at what they had to offer. While there, the representative took the time to show us all the options, asked good questions to better understand what we are looking for and need, and then setup an appointment to visit our home. Soon after, she showed up at our home and again spent a fair amount of time helping us choose and plan. Overall, she was amazing. Once we got it down to a few choices, she took some laser measurements and delivered us detailed quotes a few days later. After the order was placed, the blinds were installed about 3 weeks later. The installer was efficient, clean, professional, and polite. We did have a few manufacturing issues/defects with a couple of the blinds. Once again, the Austin Window Fashion team shined. The customer service to resolve the problems was outstanding! In short, we had replacement blinds installed quickly after the problems were noted.

Kathy at Austin Windows Fashions was very helpful, suggesting (but not pushing) upgrades and setting forth the costs of all the options we were looking for. The blinds she recommended work very well and we have no complaints. That said, the only thing that prevents me from giving an A rating was that there were some glitches in the actual delivery and installation, and it took several additional visits for the errors to be corrected. They were, in the grand scheme, fairly minor, but it happened across several of the blinds, and it was a bit of an inconvenience/ imposition to deal with multiple reschedulings. I think this was a manufacturer issue more than an Austin Windows Fashions issue, but I can't rate the manufacturer (Hunter-Douglas) here.
