Austin Professional Painting

This company should remove professional from it's name. We had them paint the exterior of our home. Their contract states that they will do a whole list of items to prepare the house for painting. This list included hand washing the exterior, setting nails, scraping, and sanding. They only do these things if you stay on top of them. Hand washing never happened. They state that the job site will be cleaned during and after the completion of the project. This didn't happen. Materials (ladders, painting rig, trash, etc. were left in our yard every day of the 5 days they were here. We still have masking tape on our roof line. They didn't respect the landscaping, hoses or personal property. After reading so many good reviews, I was shocked to get such an unprofessional crew. Maybe it's luck of the draw or unlucky in this case. I would not use them again and recommend that you find someone else to do your painting.

Beware! Photos speak a thousand words, just look at the work that has been done as it speaks for itself. I was not going to leave a review but after repeated attempts to get them back to fix issues, I decided I needed to warn others. They painted over wasp nests, old vine suckers, etc. Basically if the power wash didn’t remove something, it was just painted over. The bottom of my shed is losing its pant already, so even a basic power washing didn’t happen there as it clearly has dirt under it. I can just peel the paint right off. Its falling off more every day. Their site says: “Long Lasting Paint Jobs Guaranteed”. What guarantee? Mine is peeling off within 5 months. What will my place look like a year from now? Our estimate called for setting nails and scraping/sanding surfaces, none of which was done. Scraping off old flaking paint was not done, either. You can see in the pictures they just painted over already bubbled up and flaking paint. It’s so bad it’s almost as if they wanted to do a bad job. They repaired some old wood rot, sort of. Look at the putty job at the corner of my roof. I could have had a child do better work blindfolded. This is professional work? They didn’t even attempt to be professional. They just gobbed it on and then painted over it! In some cases, they just left the holes and didn’t even bother making the repair. All of the doors to our house and garage were painted shut. We had to break the seal on all of them just to open them, which damaged an already bad job and made it worse. There is not much more I can say, except to look closely at the pictures and think if you would want to hire a company that does work like this, and then ignores your requests to have currently failing work resolved. Austin Professional Painting has been anything but professional. They do NOT stand behind their work. I would recommend hiring any random person walking down the street and you will likely have a more professional outcome.
