 + -1 moreI was nervous given that Austin First Mortage had some bad reviews, but my experience with them was terrific. They worked quickly and were incredibly responsive to my requests/inquiries. They also had the best rate I could find (I did a lot of shopping around). At every step of the process they were friendly, helpful, and appropriately addressed any concerns I had. I'm not really sure what problems others had. I would definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Refinanced our mortgage using Austin First Mortgage.

Description of Work: Can't give you an approximate cost of service as we were applying for a refinance so we could get a better rate and lower monthly payments. It took them so long (approximately nine months before we closed) and we had to bring them so much paperwork, the rates went up. We've calmed down now, but we went through about 5 different loan officers and it was a big fat mess. I do believe, however, if a person or persons have a W-2 to work off of, perhaps this problem would not have arisen. We are retired with many stocks (no one there had a clue as to what stocks, bonds and cd's were), assets and a few properties and this company didn't have an inkling of how to handle this. We have a very high credit rating, so none of this made sense to us. More problems than I can express here. Also, there was a language barrier at times; they were not proficient with the English language many times. Our advice, find a more reputable mortgage company.
