I am extremely pleased by our new deck and the workmanship is excellent. Abe was always very professional, personable, and on time throughout the project. He shared lots of design guidance, had some great ideas, and showed pictures of prior projects to make it easier to visualize. He was very knowledgeable but also listened closely to our needs and made it easier for us to make design decisions. We ended up selecting composite deck boards and railings that we really love. Abe was easy to communicate with throughout the project via text, email, and phone. The crews were on time, delivered on schedule, and didn't leave a mess. What I really appreciated was Abe's willingness to go the extra mile for finishing touch details that only became apparent after the project started. Abe never asked for cost adjustments to complete 3 or 4 minor upgrades that overall made a real difference in the finished deck. I think Abe is really motivated to make his customers happy. I'm extremely pleased with their work.

Jim assisted with design of deck, giving me many options to choose from. His assistance was a great help and his knowledge of deck installation is enormous. The quality of the work was exceptional; his crew is top notch and they left the building area clean and ready for use. I had them build an Ipe wood deck with a cedar arbor (approximately 360 sq. ft.). I could not be happier with the construction and everyone who has seen it, is amazed at the beauty of the design, wood, and construction. I highly recommend Jim and his team!

It went very nicely. We are still not through getting all the permits signed off, but it's going good. They were very good to work with.

Our new deck is gorgeous! From our first contact with Abe and Donny to the two workmen who completed the deck, out experience was wonderful. The work was completed in four days and the results are better than we expected. The birds love it too! Thanks to a wonderful experience. The owner Abe initially consulted with us to find out exactly what we had in mind and then design a plan around that. It took a couple of weeks to complete the initial design and go over details, after which we signed a contract and eagerly waited for our deck project to start. We did not have to wait long, as we were scheduled about a week and a half after signing - a pleasant surprise! The costs were somewhat higher as we chose to go with the composite decking material, but in the long run I think we will be very happy with this decision, as this deck will require no maintenance. Rick and his brother Steve did all the work on our deck, and we could not be happier with the results. All of these folks at this company are true professionals. They are easy to communicate with, prompt on the job (even in some seriously cold weather), and their skills are, simply, remarkable. I tend to often be rather a perfectionist with things myself, so was able to truly appreciate the fine craftsmanship skills both Rick and Steve possess. I am completely convinced that these guys can build anything with impeccable precision to detail. I walk on my deck daily now and still admire their carpentry skills. And the answer is yes - I would absolutely without hesitation hire this company again for any deck work I might need in the future. It is so refreshing to work with truly professional contractors!

This deck is so beautiful that every other service provider (gutters, landscape) has commented on it. The service from the sales guy was outstanding. He understood my needs (that I couldn't be there for the sales call) and researched the area and my house on his own. His recommendations with regard to composite and railing were spot on. Then he scheduled the work within just a few weeks of the contract. The deck builder was incredible. What an artisan! Every corner and seam are exact. There were all kinds of complex issues, like working around the outdoor electrical conduit, and a big tree. The deck is just beautiful! It is exactly what we were looking for. And the prices was quite reasonable. Unfortunately, since this is composite, I don't think I'll need another deck as long as I own the house, but if I did, I would absolutely use these guys again.

Abe was great. Very responsive, answered all questions fully. Provided a great plan and drawing. Helped with obtaining HOA and permits for building. Love the new deck.

From the beginning the company was awesome. They provided 3D renderings and samples. Were punctual at all meetings and provided great customer service. This company truly cares about their customers and provides the services as required to provide full satisfaction. I would highly recommend them. They worked with me to turn my vague dream into a reality and did so while accommodating my budget and scheduling needs.

Having lived in our house since 1991, we have always been bothered by this one area in our backyard that is behind our garage that is currently a waste of space and a potential safety concern. I had been wanting to cover it up with deck and also install a hot tub on. In my mind, the potential to turn this eyesore into something really functional and appealing got me really gung ho to finally tackle this project after ignoring it for so long. Abe from Austin Deck was one of the contractors that came in and looked at the project. He was very upfront about the complexity/cost benefit and his demeanor did not suggest at all that he was trying to milk us or take advantage of our unique backyard situation. He even followed up and verified an error on the survey we sent. But given the backyard slope, depth and other costly prerequisites however (moving AC condenser), I found that it my initial vision turned out to be more of a complexity than I expected. I think what I appreciated the most was how courteous and professional Abe was throughout the whole process knowing that we are really at our wits end with how to tackle this project without going overboard on cost. In the end, after getting all bids back and mulling it over, we did not go through with the project. I never got from him once that we were wasting his time and he even mentioned that had it been his own property, he would have probably arrived at the same conclusion we did. If all contractors were this professional, getting bids for improvement projects won't be such a dreaded exercises for home owners.

Dennis Krug had built 2 decks for us in the past so we knew the quality of their work. He worked with us in designing what we wanted, had some creative ideas, supervised every day, and delivered a great project. His crew was polite, cleaned up each day, and answered any questions we had. If adjustments had to be made Dennis took care of it. I probably won't need another deck but if I do I would certainly use Austin Deck again.

This past May we hired Austin Deck Company to remove a large wood deck and replace it with a new design featuring fireproof materials. From the very beginning we knew Austin Deck was worthy of our business. Abe was thorough, professional and timely in answering our many questions and concerns. He listened and knew what we wanted. Abe made sure we knew why was happening each step of the project. His crew, Mike and Jose, also were professional, competent and always on time. Even when we ran into significant erosion problems, they were flexible to allow us to hire other contractors, stop their work and come back when our erosion problem was fixed. They cleaned the worksite each day and finished when planned. Our deck is beautiful thanks to Austin Deck Company. We would definitely use Austin Deck Company again and recommend them highly.

Jim Dailey was very open and receptive to our ideas and requests for the deck. He presented several options for materials and was very informative about pros and cons of each type of material. He made several suggestions that we had not thought about which was a tremendous help in making our decisions. He was able to use the current frame for our decks which saved significant money. Jim gave us the options and did not try to sway us toward any particular material or idea. He was accepting of our choices. The crew, Victor and Santos, were great. They were prompt each day and worked through the days. Their work is beautiful. I love the way the posts and rails were installed. Much nicer than I even imagined it would be. They were very neat and careful with discarded pieces of wood. They cleaned up each day and left no trash or tools scattered around. I would recommend Austin Deck Company wholeheartedly. A class company.

Design was perfect; construction and detail work are excellent...we are very pleased and would highly recommend Jim and AustinDecks.

Matt?s team did a wonderful job building our new deck. The job was done in timely manner and with professionalism. We wanted a last minute change on our deck and they did everything to accommodate our request. The deck looks amazing and I highly recommend them to anybody that what to build a beautiful deck.

The project was done in two phases with the deck reinforcement first and the rebuilt of the pool edge deck second. The quality of all aspects of the project were excellent and the project was done on schedule. The communication with the company was close and the small details that come up on all projects were resolved promptly. The crew on the job were professional, arrived on time in the morning, kept the job site clean and were a pleasure to have around the house. This was a reasonably complex project and only a firm with real experience could have designed and completed the project on time and on budget. I would recommended Austin Deck in the future.

The design by Jeff Dailey worked really well in a space that had issues on all sides, i.e. gas meter, drop-off, old fence. He put in bench seating to guard against friends falling off the deck and then created a seat for over the gas meter to help get it out of sight. His workers were on time and prepared... with all the materials necessary to complete the work. They were easy to communicate with, pleasant, and hard-working.. I was so pleased that Jeff is designing 4 other decks for me right now.

It was easy to get an initial appointment to review the project. Jeff was on time, knowledgeable, and really pleasant. My initial experience was great, and based upon how we left it, I thought he was interested in the work. I contacted Jeff 2.5 weeks after our initial meeting to see if he was still interested in submitting a proposal as I had not heard from him. He indicated he was working on it but not done. It's now been a month and a half since our last exchange, so I assume I will not be hearing back from him.

Great. Provided excellent specs for work to be performed. Always on time. Cleaned work site daily. Communicated well with owners.

Out of the 5 providers we contacted, Abe came across as the most professional one. He answered calls promptly, followed up diligently and answered our million queries patiently even before we signed up with him. His crew was great. Punctual and really good at their job. They finished the whole project in 9 days and left the site spic and span. We are very happy with our deck and would recommend Austin deck company to all.

When Abe came out to meet with me about the deck, he took his time and was very thorough. We went through all the possible scenarios of what would work and what wouldn't. He showed me samples, answered all my questions, and we came up with a plan. Later that same day, he emailed me computer drawings of what my deck would look like. When I received his bid, it was very detailed and organized. Upon signing the contract, he immediately submitted the building permit request to the city, and the project was started ahead of the scheduled start date. The builders, Rick and Greg, were very efficient and friendly. They worked in some terrible weather conditions. They went above and beyond my expectations. Abe checked in multiple times to make sure the end product was perfect and was exactly what I wanted and expected. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. It is beautiful! I would highly recommend Austin Deck Company to anyone wanting to build a deck. Thanks so much guys! I love my deck!

Abe's team came in and completed the job in just a few days including ordering and installing the metal railing. clean up of the site was very good and the quality of the construction is top notch. We strongly endorse Abe and Austin Deck Company for high quality deck work using the modern manufactured deck materials - Fiberon Horizon. Though the deck was on the 2nd floor of the house, AustinDeck used ladders to access the deck rather than going through the house. Fit and finish are top not despite the quick install. Abe also installed skirting below the deck line for better aethetics with our home.

It all went very smooth. From arriving on time to working through difficult weather the men who performed the work were professional, courteous and friendly. It was a great experience throughout the whole process.

The company was responsive from the get-go and gave us a supplier's name so we could go look at our options for the materials to use. The supplier had sample decks built so that we could see what the finished product would look like. Austin Deck Co. also responded to our request for various permutations of what we wanted done with the corresponding costs set out. For example, the area of the deck under the roof had less wear and tear, so they were able to give us a price that would use the existing support structure for that portion of the job. They repaired the corner of the deck where the support beam had decayed and sunk. This company truly went above and beyond, always showing up on time and calling on the day that it rained heavily in Austin to say that they would have to add a day to the job. The men who do the work are employees of the company, and the man supervising the job has been with them 16 years. I would recommend Austin Deck to any friend or member of my family!
