It went great! Aside from the weather, you couldn't have asked for a better installation process. They were very punctual with great communication. Anytime I had a question it would be answered. If they didn't know the answer they would find out for me. It was a very pleasant experience. One of the measure I use to evaluate a company is how they react when problems come up. Austin Deck Company scores an A. During the install of my deck a water line was punctured. Not only was it fixed before I got home, Abe called me up immediately to inform me of what happened and let me know what had occurred. At every step of construction, Abe would check back with me to ensure that the construction is going in the direction that I wanted. He was very open to changes when I suggested that a step be extended further. It was a very pleasant experience. You can't go wrong with them.

They took a few days to respond to my initial inquiry, but once Jeff Dailey returned my call, everything went smoothly from there. He sent us a nice computer-generated sketch of the project which met our expectations perfectly. The workers were very skilled. The finished the project in only two days with high quality. They made me realize how hard it would be to do a project like this myself . . . and do it well.

Communication was prompt and easy. Deck took slightly less time that estimated and the crew did a good job of cleanup, we did find a number of nails and screws left in the grass, but all trash and materials were removed. The only real criticisms would be that a) a number of the boards have minor scratches and damage to them. Being that they are a composite material with a 'printed' wood look, these will not fade with the look of the deck, but will always be visible. And b) there is a cedar fascia covering the pine supports and the way it was applied split a number of the boards and I have had to go back and apply additional attachments to them.

We?ve been very pleased. They did everything they claimed they would do and we did not have to remind them of details because they took care of them. They weren?t the cheapest but I thought we got a good quality product.

They were timely, professional, and easy to talk to. We first contacted them using Angie?s List email contact link. That worked very easily. They contacted us the very next day and took the measurements. They were eager to work with us and did the work within a week?s time. Our experience with them was a pleasant one.

Multiple delays due to complicated permiting process of city and historical neighborhood. Appreciated That contractor handled process.

Great people to work with. Even coordinated work with another contractor replacing a retaining wall near the the deck. Everything looks great!

They were very responsive and did a nice job. I got a quote when they said he would get it to me. They were very professional. I ended up going with another guy due to that company doing multiple remodels. Austin decks price was fair.

This has been our best contracting experience ever. Every aspect of the job has been handled with competence, consideration and integrity. Dennis was patient and helpful in the design/contracting process. He is hands-on and makes sure all the little details are taken care of. The crew are hard working professionals who take great pride in their work. They have been at this for a long time so they think of little things that raise your deck from ordinary to wow. I had never heard of the firm and read about them here on Angie's list. They price the work fairly for the value received. They will free you of all the usual concerns when you work with a contractor. You will not find a better choice for your deck.

Jim Dailey and his crew were terrific. Jim listened to us and then designed a cantilevered deck that fully met our needs. Jim brought samples of the various materials to our first meeting and discussed the pros and cons of each material. I did a great deal of research on the web and my findings matched his comments/recommendations. Jim also recommended a metal railing that provided security with minimal blockage of the view from the deck, our living room and breakfast room. Edwardo and his helper were true craftsmen. Everyone who has seen the deck marvels at its beauty. This was the third time the main deck has been built/rebuilt in 25 years. The first two were done by framers who were excellent framers but did not know how to build a deck that would stand up to the weather. Austin Deck knows how to constuct a deck that will last (see the tutorial on their design/construction techniques on their website. The crew arrived on time each morning and were never pulled off to work on another project - the project was completed on time and on budget. They cleaned up each day and were sensitive to our needs.

This work was all outdoors, but it happened over a rainy period. Work took more time than estimated, but that was due to weather delays.

It was a great experience. Dennis krug and his crew were very nice and professional. Since I had originally initiated contact with ADC back in October '08, events and the holidays had gotten in the way. I recontacted ADC at the end of Jan '09. They had just had a project pushed back and my contacting them was timely. I contacted them on Tuesday, they started on Thursday and completed the project the following Wednesday. They listened to my concerns and suggestions. They were quiet and professional. They did not goof off at anytime. They picked up every day, leaving the site clean for the next day. They had every thing planned out in stages and it was amazing to see it all come together.

Responded to request for estimate in timely manner. Workmanship and materials were as promised. Communications and finish product were high quality and overall experience was one of dealing with a professional, capable organization. Very satisfied with finished product and character exhibited by company management.

We called someone we knew and he gave us three names to get estimates from on three different types of materials. We also needed them to give us a design. We took this bid because of type of material and how long it would last.

This was perhaps the best experience we have ever had with a contractor. The project manager was very helpful with the decisions leading up to the construction - including a redesign that turned out great. He also was on-site on a near daily basis. The crew was outstanding - excellent craftsmen, friendly, and professional. All people who work for ADC are actual employees, they do not use sub-contractors. As the progress was underway, they made some suggestions that they thought might improve the end result and we agreed with them every time. Every night, the site was clean and equipment neatly stored away. The bid from ADC was significantly lower than one bid we received, and competitive with another. We are extremely satisfied with Austin Deck Company.

The designer listened to our ideas, and helped us plan a deck that would meet our needs. The bid was $2000 less than two other bids we received. The workers were polite, always came on schedule, and cleaned up well. One of our neighbors even remarked that she didn't know we were having any work done, since there was no mess. The designer came by daily to review the project and answer any questions we had. We paid half of the cost of the project on the day work began, and then paid the remainder after it was completed. Although this was a lower bid than other companies' we are very pleased with the workmanship and quality of the materials. Other neighbors have asked for the name of the builder, because they like the work done at our house.

Once this was designed the way we wanted it, it took about five days to install everything. We had to ask them to clean up daily after themselves and afterwards, to come back and do a few repairs, but once all was said and done, they did a good job.

These guys were excellent and they did top notch work. Their work was real quality craftsmanship. This was a really elaborate deck and they put an arbor over part of it which, was really nice too. This wasn t a small job and yet they were able to complete it in a week and a half because they were also very efficient and hard working.

They did an excellent job on our deck. We haven't had any problems with the quality of this material, as it is very high quality. They did a nice job of cleaning up everything and told us if there is a problem to let them know. We have used them to do other work as they built a deck around our swimming pool as well.
