During the pre-contract/planning phase, they were very responsive. Phyllis came over to check out the site and hear what we wanted. Then she came back with some ideas. They claimed it would be completed in two months. After we signed the contract in early May 2007 and paid the first $8000 draw we heard very little from them. Then it rained almost every day for two months. In August, it stopped raining and they built the retaining walls for drainage. The deck part only had three holes. In September I had to leave voicemail messages every day for two weeks before I got a call back. Then I asked for a weekly status email. I only got one. In October, I had to call everyday again. In late November, we had a deck. In December we got a door put in, but there was open sheet rock until early January when the project was completed 7 months over due. Everything is beautiful. I really appreciate the design work they put into this project. It makes it much more than just a deck.

Contacted company and they met to review scope of work. However, thought they said they would call back with the quote they never did. This was disappointing and delayed my moving forward by a few days. I would not recommend this company, because of this non- professional approach.

This was an excellent contractor to work with. The cost of cypress is really high, but it lasts a long time. They outbid a few others, so their prices were very reasonable. Kevin from Classic Cottages was an expert craftsman. The quality of work was outstanding and we appreciated his attention to detail.
