His ad says 100% satisfaction guaranteed. That is pure fiction. When you do an AC system, you must do a load calculation prior to the job install to determine the proper tonnage of the system. Casimir did not do this. When we asked for the load calculation report he gave excuse after excuse and said we would get it at the end. We spoke with the manufacturer American Standard and they said he needed to provide. He initially installed the system and as soon as they turned it on, the system was dripping condensation from the duct work. He did not use spiral system duct work but instead some cheap stuff that was not insulated. The kept saying it was because the house was not sealed. Initially, Casimir came out and removed part of the system from the house such that the system would be shut off and the problem would "go away" since the system was not running. I then told Casimir he had until Friday at the end of that week to return the hardware or I would contact Bastrop Country Sheriff. He returned the piece of equipment and then proceeded to give us an extortion cleaning invoice for over $3200 since he said the filter was dirty after on a few weeks of running. The system was turned on with the general contractor when they were ready to cool the house. We had to claw back $7k with the credit card company. The credit card company required and independent evaluation of the system. American Standard provided us with another installer in Bastrop County. The second installer came out and did an evaluation along with a load calculation report which showed that the size unit installed was incorrect and he "fudged" his numbers to meet what he installed. The second installer got a copy of the house plans. Those were forwarded to the manufacturer who then forwarded to Casimir with Austin's Green Air & Heating. Magically, he could then provide his load calculation report (missing the report date ... wink wink). Other problems identified included the lack of water pan, poor electrical wiring not to code, outside pipe improperly buried in the dirt, overall poor design of duct work system for a house of this nature. After this 2nd report forced by American Standard, only now with the first installer Austin's Green Air & Heat elect to come out and fix the problem. Which means he must remove and replace the oversized unit that he installed. Do not ever use this firm. This guy is a bag of lies. His website says 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Pure fiction. He just wants your money and to be gone and doesn't stand behind his crappy work. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR AC OR HEATING WORK.
Description of Work: This guy Casimir, owner of Austin's Green Air & Heating is a piece of work. I have a ranch house remodel in Bastrop County. The system was to be an open air duct design on a ranch house open open ceilings. We were replacing the old system for a "best" system with remote control via WIFI. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR AC OR HEATING WORK.

Their tech does good work. Replaced the blower motor for my heater. The charge was $380, however they charged me an additional $50 service fee. Most companies will waive their service fee if you're hired them to do the job. I emailed them about this charge and they did not respond. I also asked them for a bid on another job and they also never responded to me. So although they do good work I find them to be unprofessional for not responding to me and a bit greedy. I will look for a company that waves of their service for you when you hire them.

Response from Austin's Green Air & Heating
Thank you, [member name removed] for choosing Austin's Green Air to perform service on your furnace. Matt was correct in his pricing. With the repair and service fee I'm sure that you will find that our pricing is very competitive. The average blower motor replacement is $450, with another $75 for capacitor and at least $150 for a blower wheel cleaning. I believe that most company's would try to quote you a very high repair price for the motor to try to get you to replace the entire system. We take pride in the fact that we are always willing to work with our customers and do not price gouge repairs just to make a sale. I told you that I would give you a fair price on the motor in hopes of doing more work for you in the future. That is exactly what Matt and I both tried to do for you and I hope that you agree that we both achieved that goal. Thank you for your business. We got a report from him as part of a home inspection when selling our house. The HVAC system was about 3 years old and amazingly efficient - I'm talking $40 electric bills in the middle of summer efficient. He recommended a whole new system to the buyers, citing that the current one was too big, at a quote of $10k. Ridiculous - and certainly not very "green."
