Over the past 14 years, Nev Nicholson has inspected 2 of my personal residences and 2 commercial buildings I own. Nev has shown up on time, crawled into places I would never consider going, and has provided me with comprehensive reports. His reports contained detailed items with photographic documentation, which have given me the tools I needed to make an informed decision regarding a property and the ability to negotiate a more fair purchase price when taking into consideration items which required repairing.

Nev was great. He showed up on time and immediately started pointing out things he saw and taking pictures of the house. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain issues he was finding. He was thorough, checking all attic spaces, cabinets, sinks, drains, lights, etc. The report was packed with detailed notes and clear pictures, and I got it the next day. I would definitely recommend him to others.

We remember Nev Nicholson's thoroughness from when he inspected our first home in 1996. He was, and is, incredibly detailed and incisive--always imagining what might go awry or need repairs in the future. (Even in our new home, he pointed out things that we could ask the builder to address that would save us trouble down the road). Recently we had Nev perform an inspection on a previously-owned home that we intended to purchase. He went over every square inch of the property, measuring and recording what he saw (the latter with photographs to support his write-up). In several instances, a padlock on a utility box or other obstruction kept him from observing something he wanted to look at, so he made a note of this for the homeowner and returned after the impediments had been removed. He is well acquainted with current and even impending building codes and methods, and draws on this knowledge as he advises you about the property at hand. To provide only one small example of the kind of service that you'll get with Nev: with the property we were looking at, he pointed out that it would be desirable to increase the air circulation in the master bedroom, and showed us a simple and relatively inexpensive way to do this by adding in an extra 'return' in an unobtrusive place inside a doorway. If you want your home inspected top to bottom with an eagle eye, you should hire him. His familiarity with the various neighborhoods, and the variety of structures commonly built here, seems unparalleled. There may be a better home inspector somewhere, but I'm having a very hard time imagining it.

Nev is very thorough. I have used him before and would highly recommend him. He takes pictures, provides a detailed report, gives recommendations and is very professional. EXCELLENT inspector!

Nev was our original house inspector 5 years ago. We were having some house problems, so I called him. He performed a free inspection even after 5 years. He is very thorough and describes things well. He sends great write-ups of the problems as well.

He did a very good, thorough job. He found out that we had water leaking under the tiles on the upstairs deck and we were able to get the builder to fix everything.

They went over the entire house and even used a heat gun to see if there was any insulation missing in the wall which there was. Did a great job and we have lots of things the builder needs to repair.

The cost is for home inspection, termite inspection, and HVAC inspection as well. She was punctual, thorough, and prompt. We got the report right away including pictures. I called her a few days later and she was able to give me approximate costs to repair each of the items that needed repaired or replaced. I was very impressed with her professionalism.
