They did not complete my job and on top of it they ruined my walls, baseboards, entry door, lost all my door stops. They did so much damage to my home that if would want to sell, I would to invest soooo much to get it back to presentable condition.. They charged me, got paid and didn't keep to their part of the contract. Kim, the owner agreed that my house was destroyed and not done correctly (she had sent her crew) and agreed to repair and fix HERSELF, but charged the remainder. I paid it trusting her, they re did the floors (yet not to my satisfaction- not even close to the picture) but let my paint, baseboards all ruined. VERY unprofessional, THIS WAS BACK IN 09/23, contract signed and half paid on 09/10-I am still waiting on her to fix my house. Floors, walls, baseboards etc. She keeps giving me excuses on her having more people to work for, to wait until she has time, now indicated she had a death in the family. EXCUSES!! Yet, my house is still a mess and money was lost. If I were to hire another company to come fix this mess it will be triple of what I already invested. To this moment, she keeps apologizing for the walls and baseboards but has the nerve to say that the floors look good. Take a look for yourself.
Description of Work: I hired them for concrete floors. I showed them pictures, they agreed on the work and gave me a contract. .

Artisan Hands is the WORST company I have ever dealt with. Kim Arguilar is the most dishonest, destructive, and incompetent contractor I have ever worked with. Kim Arguilar worked for another concrete staining company which was the company that originally stained and scored my concrete floors. When she worked for the other concrete staining company, she ruined my concrete floors with the wrong product 3 days prior to closing on my new house. The owner of the company came out and tried to ?fix? areas that were not holding the stain. The job was patched as best as it could be. A year or so later, Kim Arguilar came out and re-waxed the floors. No issues. After living in my condo for 2.5 years I decided to lease my condo and wanted Kim Arguilar who by then had started her own business, Artisan Hands to come back and re-wax my floors prior to my tenant moving in. Kim Arguilar used the wrong product again! The floors were permanently ruined. She promised that she would return before I moved back in 18 months later and re-stain the entire downstairs free of charge. After 18 months, I called Kim Arguilar and she agreed to re-stain my floors for the cost of supplies. Not surprisingly, before the job was completed, she needed more money. When I discussed my concerns about the process going to be used, and the problems we have had in the past, her business partner Mandy Goerger exclaimed that they were doing me a favor, and I didn?t need to be anywhere around while they were working. She was as unprofessional and incompetent as Kim Arguilar. Once the floors were completed, and the tape / paper was removed, we noticed that all of my baseboards had been ruined by the water used by Kim Arguilar. I had cautioned them both about using water or too much water and letting it sit on the floors. I even offered to personally help keep the water away from the baseboards. Mandy Goerger told me that it would not be a problem. Due to the amount of water used and allowed to soak into my baseboards, they were ALL ruined. Every single baseboard had to be replaced, at my own expense. Artisan Hands refused to take any responsibility. Kim Arguilar did offer to personally re-paint my baseboards once the new ones were installed. However, the day she was supposed to show up to paint, I received a text message from her saying that she wasn?t going to be coming back! Big Surprise ! Artisan Hands (Kim Arguilar and Mandy Goerger) are incredibly incompetent, dishonest, destructive, and unprofessional. I would not recommend using them to anyone EVER.
Description of Work: The service to be performed was to re-stain my downstairs concrete floors, due to Artisan Hands ruining them on a prior visit. The Approximate Cost includes all of the additional expenses incurred due to their incompetence.

Artisan Hands came in after another company could not complete the floor to my satisfaction. I hired them because they were very helpful on the inspection and in negotiations with the first company who's first floor was a disaster and second floor an improvement but still had major flaws. We had a major communication breakdown on their first attempt. I wanting just a touch up and sealant layer, was very disappointed to come home and find out there were several new holes and a completely new very dark color on the entire floor. Some parts I really had grown to like and now felt like they were ruined and I was starting all over. In fact, that is what happened. Kim came back and started the week of Thanksgiving to re-do the floor, decided to add another overlay and start from scratch. It took 3 more weeks before it is done, but it looks really nice now and a good color. I also needed to pay an extra $360 for materials. So, while the process took far longer then I had hoped, 5 weeks instead of 1 week, Kim takes great pride in her work and does her best to make the floor a master piece that you'll love. For this reason, I would use her services again. However, it is important in any concrete staining process you are in clear communication with the folks doing the work, to always make sure you are on the same page. It is also important to realize all the possible problems you can run into with concrete floors before you start and be ready for the set-backs as they come up. Both companies I worked with on this project were diligent in trying to create what I was looking for, and both were fair and honest in their work. However, Artisan Hands was able to deliver the final product - that is becoming the attraction of the neighborhood.
Description of Work: 1) Inspect stained concrete floor from another company and explain defects as to if they were typical of stained concrete or not. Cost $50, spent about 30 minutes and explained the cause of defects and options for repair. 2) Hired for $1,000 to repair a dark spot left by the other company and if possible, some raised and rough areas. Also to apply one more layer of sealant. This is where things went terrible wrong, the attempt to fix ended up in several areas of holes, and staining the entire floor that was not requested. (In other words the floor was much worse then when they started. 3) They realized the mistake, and came back in to resurface and start over. While the process was long and the communication tedious, they did a great job on the final floor. While there are still some areas that are raised and a little rough the color is consistent and the details on the edges and corners of the rooms is excellent. (Please note for a good job on stained flooring the process can take 2-3 weeks.)
