First, let me say that I have used Joe Rudyk and his company, Arrowhead Inspections, for 2 recent home inspections. After inspecting the first home, he was the first one I thought of when I again needed the help of a professional inspector! If you want a courteous, informative, completely qualified, professional inspector for your next home purchase, you cannot do better then Joe! The experience and knowledge that Joe brought to the home inspections was firmly backed by his long work history in the building construction industry and in home remodeling. I could not have been more pleased! Joe was quick to respond to my phone call inquiring about an inspection. He gave me the cost over the phone, set a convenient time for the inspection, arrived on time and got to work immediately. He was well into his inspection when I arrived at the home that I hoped to purchase. I had already made my list of cosmetic likes and dislikes about the property and my agent had advised me of the comps in the area for the asking price, but Joe was there to check out the "bones" and unseen workings of the house - those important areas that provide a real level of comfort when buying a home and especially an older one. He spotted areas and mistakes where former repairs and installations could have potentially caused financial outlays after the purchase, but also could have compromised the safety of my home and family! Additionally, he advised me of places where the home did not meet current building codes. Plus, he advised me of many inexpensive ways that I could make the home more energy efficient! With heating and cooling costs being what they are today, it was an unexpected bonus! His termite inspection was quite helpful. Many times homeowners are not aware of the areas around the home - both inside and outside - that can potentially cause an infestation of termites and other pests. Again, this knowledge will save me having unwanted "guests" in my home and will keep my investment sound for years to come. I was very impressed with Joe's knowledge and expertise and his ability to explain things in a layman's terms! Being a woman, it was vital for me to fully understand what repairs needed to be done asap and when a licensed professional versus a handyman was needed. Because he generates his inspection reports very quickly, I was better able to ascertain which repairs needed to be negotiated with the sellers prior to the end of my option period and which ones I could have fixed for a minimum of expense by a handyman. A+ is just not a high enough score to give Joe Rudyk and his company, Arrowhead Inspections! Arrowhead Inspections needs to be at the TOP of every home buyer's list when looking for an honest and detailed home inspection performed by a super guy!
