Giving a review of zero stars should be an option. I regret ever listening to the reps sales pitch and agreeing to use them as my pest service and would advise caution to anyone else. It started with the salesman that showed up on my front door. He provided the sales pitch and went over all of the specifics. I found out after the first or second service that he was lying about half of what he told me. He lied about the cost of the service each quarter, how effective their treatments were and most importantly that that there no contract. I specifically asked if there was a contract in case their treatments were ineffective which would require me to choose a different provider. I have found their office staff to not be helpful at all and their technicians to be completely inept. For the first service I pointed out all of the problem areas to the salesman to notate as well as the technician who showed up. Neither one of them listened or did what I asked and the problem only got worse. After numerous calls, complaints and callbacks they finally sent someone out that had some sense of what to do and wasn't just going through the motions. The problem subsided for the most part. During the coldest periods if there were any pests they were inactive but Aptive wanted to come out and service my property even though there was no need. I said to delay till it warms up because there's no point in wasting the treatments that I have to pay for. The people at Aptive had a very hard time understanding the English language or understand the meaning of the word no, as if it is their property and I have to provide them access whenever they see fit. The only reason I needed their service was for fire ants outside in the yard. Finally they agreed and delayed the service at my request. At this point I've already had about enough of them but decided to let it slide. Recently I went out of town on business and they again let me know within a day or two notice that they would be out to perform service. After trying to get them to understand I wasn't even in the same part of the country and couldn't give them access to the yard they still wanted to come out and do the front yard and then charge me and were rude about it to boot. That was the final straw for me and I told them I had enough and to cancel the contract and I would pay whatever just to never have to talk to them again. I told them to send me the bill for cancelling so I would have a record(which is apparently the so-called "discount" provided at the first service). They said they would send the bill which I waited to receive. A week passes and no bill but out of the blue they charge my credit card $180 without my authorization. After calling to complain they said I gave them authorization for auto-pay which I never have done. They offered to refund and send me the bill but I said leave it be. I'm just glad to be rid of them. What an awful company. Abysmal customer service, lack of knowledgeable technicians makes for one really terrible experience. Stay away. Oh, and one more thing. They said their products are safe for pets. I kept my dogs off the yard for four hours after they left (even though they only suggest two) but one of them started developing awful itching, scratching and paw chewing symptoms. The vet didn't know what it was, thought it may be allergies but ended up not being allergies. Low and behold when I stop the service so does my dogs symptoms.
