Apple Appliance Repair

It went great. The drier had been making a clearly inappropriate sound for a while and it was getting worse. I called Apple Appliance Repair on Saturday and Patrick scheduled to come Monday morning. He arrived on time, fixed the problem and charged a reasonable amount. He is also a very pleasant guy.

It went exceptionally well. He confirmed the part needed in advance, arranged a time to come to install the part and came and installed the part when he said he would. After he finished and the washer was working properly, I replaced the valves that feed the washer and I apparently messed the washer up. He was nice enough to walk me through some possible fixes and by following his suggestions I was able to fix the problem I caused.

After researching the internet, I explained to Patrick on the phone what I thought was wrong with my old appliances yet he told me later that he had not agreed with me. He told me to put clothes in the washer before he showed up to check the washer out . He came over and saw when the washer was built but did not even attempt to analyze why it shook when washing. There are more than one reason why a washer will shake when washing yet he would not even touch it or turn it on . I told him he should have refused the job on the phone if he had already determined that he would not even try to fix my appliances . Yet he was quick to collect a trip charge and waste my time and money !

Patrick was very professional. He showed up on time, diagnosed the problem and replaced the leaking hose with one he had with him, all in less then an hour. I wish more repairmen were this competent.

Recommendations on Angie's list and from neighbors prompted me to call Apple Appliance. Nobody answered on the call and I did not leave a message. But about 10 minutes later Patrick (the owner) called, said his phone received my call, and could he help? I said yes, and he came out when promised, fixed the problem with a part in his truck. The compressor ran for 24 hours (as Patrick said it would), but then the freezer and refrigerator worked as expected.

Very well. Magnetron was difficult to access but he handled it well. Responded promptly to initial call, ordered the part the same day and installed it on the next working day. Price included cost of magnetron. Reasonable hourly rate.

Patrick was very responsive every time I contacted him. He asked about the problem and provided me with a list of steps to try to isolate my problem with my ice maker and water dispenser. He enabled me to solve my problem by following instructions over the phone. He is honest, upfront, and I will definitely call him again for any repairs that I need.

In fact, it didn't need fixing. He was honest enough not to pretend that it needed a new icemaker and not to charge me and stuff.

Our refrigerator was not cooling so we called for a repair. Some repair companies could not come for several days, but Patrick was available the next day. He came and noticed that there was some frost build up on the vent which moves cold air from the freezer (below) to the upper portion of the refrigerator. He recommended that we defrost it and see if the fan (in the vent) would begin to work. Cost for this was $59. He left and we began the process of defrost which took about 3 hours. After we defrosted it, it was apparent that the fan was not working, so we called and he came back the next day and diagnosed the defective fan. He went and purchased a replacement fan, installed it. The cost for the fan and his labor was $193.22. Overall we are satisfied with his service, though it would have been better to have it all done in one day, but I suppose he was hoping that the frost build up was the root problem and that defrosting it would have us up and running.

He helped me determine that the cost of repair would be too much. He helped me self diagnose the problem over the phone.

From the start it was a great experience. I was able to coordinate an appointment, first through Angie's List, then through text message. Patrick was responsive, professional and nice. He showed up perfectly on time, and the repairs took around 30 minutes. He got right to work and already had the parts as I had sent him the make and model of the washer I needed repaired. He found that my agitator needed a small repair too. I am grateful he pointed it out, since I've had a repair in the last year, and I think this one was needed a long time ago. He was polite and chatted with me while he quickly worked and also showed me how I could safely take apart the washer if I wanted to do a deep clean. It's an old washer, it needs it. I am pleased that he sent me a receipt via email immediately upon repair. It is much easier to read than a handwritten one, and I know I can find it later should I need it.

Very courteous and very affordable. Didn't forget to give the 10% off for Angie's list customer (I had forgot about it!) I was able to make the appointment through Angie's list messages with him which is a big plus for me.

He serviced my refrigerator. He was able to describe to me the problem and a couple of available solutions. He has the parts on hand and that saved me a lot of time. Very professional.

The repairman was good. He got the job done in about one hour because he had to go get a part. The scheduling was good. We have recommended them to others.

Patrick was very responsive (answered immediately and repair done same day). He set an exact meeting time, not some vague 4 hour window. He was punctual, had the problem diagnosed in 5 mins and repaired in 20 mins. I would highly recommend this company.

It went great. When we called he found a way to fit us in the same day. He came when he promised. He identified and fixed the issue. His diagnostic fee and prices were reasonable. I'm very pleased. Additionally, it's important to mention that after I originally called Patrick and left a message, I tried another appliance repair person who answered and was unfortunately booked for 2 weeks. HE recommended Patrick, who called back very shortly after. I think it's great to have your peers/competitors recommend you for the work that you do.

He really did the diagnosis over the phone and that was ok seeing that I didn't have to pay for that but he ordered the part and come to find out that was not the problem. Hence we ordered the correct part that we had to be sure that was right, ended up working on the second trip out. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would still use him. It was a bit pricey and I say that because for the having to wait to get my dryer repaired again, and also because the part was not right, I should have got a discount and him telling me a discount was provided because of the long wait time. But oh well perhaps we both learned a lesson. I really like his service and two of Angie's list appliacne providers wouldn't even come to my house because they lived in North Austin and i lived in South Austin.

My whole experience with Patrick was excellent. He was even faster than I imagined, which is always welcome when it comes to dishwashers.

Patrick with Apple Appliance repair will be my first call next time. His name was given to me by another very good repair person who due to back issues was unable to pull out the dishwasher to get to the line. He was prompt, courteous and through. His price was fair for his time and how inolved the job was .

Without a doubt, from start to finish, Patrick at Apple Appliance Repair was a delight to work with. I called a number of people, and Patrick called me back within 5 minutes on a Saturday, asked me all of the pertinent questions (What is your machine doing? What type of machine do you have?) to troubleshoot on the phone before coming over. He said he would be here in 30 minutes, and he was. He even sent me a text to tell me he was on the way. He had already thought about what the issue was from my description and the age of the machine so he came prepared with the proper part to fix it. In under an hour, I was back to washing clothes. Patrick is professional, easy to talk to (he explained everything very thoroughly), and as a woman, I felt very safe with him in our home. He assured my husband and me that our machine is still in very good working order, which made us feel good about keeping the washing machine. I would recommend Apple to anyone who appreciates quality service, expert advice, and nice people to work with. A +

Patrick showed up on time and removed our in-cabinet microwave to test it. It had not been responding when you try to heat. Only the lights and countdown would turn on, but no heating would occur. He said it sounded like the lower switches to the front panel (where you enter time to heat your food) had gone bad. He tested them and they tested as faulty. He replaced the switches, tested the microwave by heating a mug of water--which heated very nicely--and then installed the microwave back into our cabinet. Everything went very smoothly. Patrick explained the malfunction, what was needed to repair it, the cost, and also answered our questions regarding what to look for in the future when we eventually need to replace our microwave. The price was half, or less than half, of what it would've cost to replace an in-cabinet microwave AND have it installed. Spending less and having a whole lot less of a hassle and headache is always wonderful. We were very happy with Patrick and Apple Appliance, and we'll definitely use them again in the future.
