+ -1 moreAntique Wicker and Wood is the best kept secret in the Austin area. I looked everywhere for someone reliable and professional to repair my chairs before I found Bob Morgan. He is a skilled craftsman who takes pride in his work and is also a friendly man who will answer your questions honestly and patiently. He's smart and knows what he is talking about and has had almost 30 years experience in Austin. Antique Wicker is located a few miles beyond the intersection of 71 and 620 south of Austin. The trip itself is a delight because Bob and his wife, Patti have a wonderful small acreage with all kinds of interesting vegetation and a couple of very unusual breeds of chickens. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: The wicker in the seats of 2 of my dining room iron and wood chairs was broken and needed replacement. I brought my chairs in and left them with Bob Morgan. I brought 2 other chairs in to him a few years ago and he gave me a complete explanation then of how he did his work, materials he used and how long it would take. He's a true craftsman of the old school that you don't see much of these days. He does all his own work in a workshop adjacent to his home. The work was a little delayed because of the wet weather and the need for the seats to dry thoroughly before letting me take them home.
