The process started strong and communication was good but after a month into the process the site supervisor (as she was called) started to hide from us when on site, requested texts and pics instead of showing up in person when she planned to show, and answering questions became concerning. After 85% work was accomplished she pressured a survey on us for an uncompleted pool and after the survey was sent in she was almost non existent and many items still needed to be completed; the office manager was instrumental in the logistics and completion of unfinished work. Luke; a service technician, was the most professional, competent and informative member of the team/company. Overall: Too many questions and issues were left unfinished and a district manager had to be brought to the site to get the job completed and that was a major red flag. The unskilled labor and lack of English speaking workers was the norm and only a few times was an interpreter available on the phone. After all the stress, and headaches we endured did we finally get a good pool. Overall the negative overshadowed the positive in the experience. Luke's help and equipment knowledge was the best thing about the build.

We love our Anthony and Sylvan pool!! Everyone was easy to work with and our pool and patio was done in a very timely manner! Would definitely recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again.

Beware. Pool construction was great. BUT the so called warranty does not exist. They take forever just to reply to your warranty claim submission and will never show up to repair. They do not reply back to your emails.Seems like they hope for the warranty period to expire and may use every excuse to say it’s not a warranty issue.

Very happy with the pool A&S built for us. We, along with the rest of Texas decided to build a COVID pool back in early 2020. We did run into some challenges, but everything has been addressed and we're extremely pleased with our result. Overall, great design and construction but the service afterwards has truly exceeded our expectations. Very grateful to have a company standing behind their build. Dan Barrett, Justin and Daylon have all been fantastic in our follow-up requests. I would build with them again in a heartbeat.

We are so glad we decided to use Anthony & Sylvan as our pool/spa builder. From the very beginning it was a great experience; the sales guy truly listened to what we wanted and helped us design our "vision". The construction started on-time and every crew that showed up in every phase along the way was professional and courteous. The job was actually completed a few weeks ahead of schedule! This happened to be about 3 weeks before COVID really shut everything down (March 2020), so the timing could not have been more perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend Anthony & Sylvan as your pool builder.

Anthony and Sylvan pools in Austin TX built a beautiful pool for us last summer. Our Sales and Design Consultant Sindo helped us design exactly what we wanted and our Project Manager Mike Newman did an excellent job of keeping us well informed and the crews on schedule all along the way. I highly recommend Anthony Sylvan for anyone needing a new pool. I have heard lots of horror stories about the other builders in town. My sister in law recommended them to us and we couldn't be more happy!

A&S did a great job. Very professional, and very fast working. We were very fortunate to order our job as the country was going into lockdown with COVID, and given the speed of the construction work, we were able to enjoy our pool with friends and family. Would definitely recommend to others, especially if you have a good idea what you want to build.

Took longer than I thought it would, but the very cold February winter snap set progress back considerably. Pool is now finished and my family really enjoys the water. If you do build a pool, my suggestion would be to go bigger rather than smaller. You won't regret it when your family comes over to swim

As a long time Angie’s List subscriber (15+ years), I have posted reviews of numerous companies (35+) that have provided exceptional service for my wife and I, both at our prior home in Dallas and now at our new home here in Austin. Of all the companies reviewed however, there is only one that has warranted multiple reviews and that company is Anthony Sylvan Pools (A&SP). They were one of 5 pool companies we engaged back in 2018 to submit proposals for an elevated pool and deck at our new home in the Austin hill country. Their design proposal (in 3D virtual reality (VR) form that you could literally fly around and through to explicitly see and actually “feel” what you would be getting) blew us away and in addition the cost was approximately one third less than the next best competitor. Needless to say we awarded them the contract, and construction, while challenging (e.g., as high as 10 feet above ground, huge thick concrete forms with 7 tons of steel, several hundred cubic yards of packed road base below deck, pool equipment below water level, etc.), proceeded reasonably on schedule with few hiccups. In the 2 years since commissioning, we’ve only experienced 1 issue of significance, which was a failure of the heater igniter that A&SP quickly isolated and replaced under warranty. The purpose of this review post (our 3rd) is to try to convey how thrilled we are with every aspect of our life that is now centered outdoors around our pool and deck. We along with several members of our family and friends are swimming, sunning, eating, visiting and/or view gazing poolside virtually every day of the week, which is exactly what we were hoping for at the outset. If you’re wanting to build a new pool and your area is served by A&SP, I highly recommend you give them a call to see if they can make your dreams come true as well…

They use lousy subs and don't stand behind their work. Grout is literally falling out like sand.

I posted previously about the fantastic job that Anthony&Sylvan Pools did in every phase of our challenging pool installation from design, to site prep, to above ground construction (e.g., we're at the top of a big hill and the surface of the pool and deck needed to be raised up approximately 10 feet to be level with our back patio) through to final commissioning (see attached photo). What I want to report about today is the great job their service team has done in the year plus since startup, in particular the work done by A&S service technician Paul Oliver. The few issues we've had have been relatively minor with exception of some intermittent failures of the heater to fire up when it hasn't been used for awhile. Intermittent failures are tough to diagnose since they may not be readily reproduceable by the technician when he comes out for repair, but thanks to Paul's detailed knowledge and experience with pool equipment he was able to quickly identify the most likely root causes and methodically work through them until he was able to isolate the problem to a faulty propane gas igniter, which he promptly replaced. And last but not least on an unrelated note, I've also found Paul to be very knowledgeable and helpful with respect to guidance on some of the more advanced techniques for maintaining optimal pool water chemistry as well (e.g., Langelier Saturation Index (LSI), PH buffering with boric acid, etc.). In summary, thanks for the great job, Paul, and we feel blessed to have you on our pool maintenance team!

This experience was way above our expectations. We recently built a house and a deck and had problems with both of them but Anthony&Sylvan pools was amazing. They were patient while we finally came to a final design based on their suggestions and our input. Then, it was very clear how the pool-building process would go and then we were given contact information before everything started. I personally loved the computer-generated virtual video of our pool design as we could see exactly what the pool would look like in our backyard before we built it. Our pool was completed on time and it was easy to get ahold of someone for any questions that we had. Our supervisor, Chris, was friendly, helpful, professional and responsive. Our pool is super high-quality and has all of the bells and whistles that we wanted (including some really cool pool lights that change to any color you could think of). All in all, I would highly recommend Anthony & Sylvan pools to anyone looking for a great pool and a fantastic experience.

Our designer Sindo was great. All the workers were very thorough and made sure site was kept clean. I have already been referring them to family and friends.

The whole experience was great. The designer was extremely helpful and listened to our requirements. Their offer (out of 5) gave us the largest pool and more concrete deck space for the lowest price. We paid a lot of attention to details such as rebar size and spacing, pump and equipment features, etc. and again, we felt Anthony & Sylvan's offering was as good or better than the rest. The crews were very professional and worked fast. Any time we had a question or concern, the Project Manager handled it immediately to make sure that we ended up with exactly what we wanted. Construction was completed on schedule. The whole process was really a great experience.

My pool installation was absolutely amazing!!!! A+++++++++++++ Seeing that I work in an industry of customer satisfaction/consumer inspired being a #1 priority of mine, I went in knowing my expectation were set high! Well, this company really blew them away. From start to finish, from design to literally jumping in the pool, this team was top notch! Not only did they finish early, they finished with quality! I'd recommend this company, 100X over! Thank you, Anthony & Sylvan Pools for making my first pool experience, an extremely satisfying experience. Summer can't get here fast enough!

They were great from start to finish. Stayed in budget. Excellent communication during construction but most importantly great follow up and support after construction is finished.

Anthony Sylvan Pools (ASP) was one of 5 different pool companies we contacted about constructing a pool at our new house in the Austin TX hill country. It was a very challenging job as our house is at the top of a very steep hill and we wanted the pool surface to be level with our attached outdoor living space, which necessitated a very high above ground pool and deck (e.g., 10-12’ at the highest point). Our ASP design consultant (Aaron Dumas) came out and over the course of ~2 hours he was able to assess our requirements/constraints/preferences and had us exploring several different pool designs in real time using pool CAD software that literally allowed us to fly around each design in 3D virtual reality no less. This enabled us to “see” and quickly home in on a dynamite design that was vastly superior to the 2D design diagrams submitted by the other bidders. And once the design was settled, Aaron posted a 3D “fly around” video on YouTube that enabled us to “whet” (pun intended) the appetite of friends and relatives, all of whom are now thoroughly enjoying our completed pool. Construction of the pool was very challenging to say the least (e.g., huge thick forms with tons of steel, several feet of road base material under the decks that had to be brought in and compacted, pool equipment that had to be safely and reliably installed below water surface level (critical for us since our only source of water is a 31K gallon rainwater collection system), etc.). Our construction manager (Dewaine Hill) visited our site on at least a weekly basis and kept us apprised of progress with regular email reports, and he was always prompt in getting back to us regarding any questions, issues and concerns we had. To make a long story short, Dewaine turned Aaron’s awesome pool design into a reality that we are enjoying literally every day. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the very cordial and responsive people behind the scenes at ASP. Our scheduler (Bianca Garcia) was always cool, calm and collected through several record Austin rain delays, and she never failed to respond in a timely and professional manner to my numerous texts and emails (even over the weekends no less). And the ASP senior manager over all Austin pool construction projects (Colin Schneider) made sure that our project stayed on track, even coming out to the house on occasion to assess a couple of issues first-hand and help to get them quickly resolved. In summary, we are absolutely “thrilled” with every aspect of our ASP pool and last but certainly not least, given that the cost was approximately 30% below the bid of the next closest competitor, we feel that the value is truly incomparable!

Had some hiccups along the way but whe the general manager Dan, got involved things were resolved quickly. Matt the start up guy is fantastic, he still, 2years later responds to my texts immediately when I have questions concerning the pool.

A&S did an amazing job with my pool. My design consultant Aaron Dumas was great to work with and designed an amazing pool. I definitely recommend them!!!!

Pool design and installation went well. We really appreciated the professionalism and courtesy extended by our pool designer, Aaron Dumas. He was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable. He kept us informed and on schedule.

It's fabulous they did a great job, they clean up after themselves, they set a scheduling and the design team was amazing.

It went really well. We ran into a lot of rain but they were able to stay on schedule throughout the process. Customer service department was pretty amazing. They were great at getting back with me. They over delivered and you can check the progress on their online system.

It went well. It really good. They ended up helping replacing a part that wasn't under warranty free of charge. Over they were on top of everything throughout the construction and now. I think whoever uses them will be very happy.
