We were already leaning toward a specific carpet we'd found at a box store because it worked so perfectly with all our other new finishes, but after reading reviews both here and elsewhere, and preferring to do business with locally owned companies whenver possible, I decided to check out America's Carpet Outlet before making our final decision. It was a pleasure to meet and work with the owner, David Pratt, and I would definitely recommend anybody shopping for carpet go by and visit with him. He impressed me as quite knowledgeable and shared an abundance of helpful information about the multitudes of choices in carpets (and pads), warranties (or lack of), effects of carpet cleaning, etc., and even though ours was a relatively small job, went to great lengths trying to find a carpet that was a match to sample swatch of the box store carpet we were considering. During this process, David worked closely with me, making suggestions, providing numerous swatches from his in-stock carpets, contacting his carpet reps to obtain color/style specific samples, keeping me updated on a regular basis, and always returned my calls promptly. He spent a considerable amount of time with me and worked hard to earn my business. As I learned thru my extensive carpet shopping experiences, "apple to apple" price comparisons can be difficult to come by in the world of carpets because of all the variables. That said, his posted pricing for carpet and pad seemed very reasonable (e.g., his price/sf on 8 lb pad was +-35% less than comparable 8 lb pad I'd priced elsewhere) . It should be noted that David can refer you to any number of professional installers he works with, but they would have to be contracted with seperately as ACO only sells the materials. In the end, turns out the box store carpet that worked so well with all our finishes was a proprietary color/pattern made exclusively for and sold only by the box store and thus there was really no match available, and ultimately we decided to go with the box store carpet. However, next time I'm in the market for carpet, I'll be going by to see David. Next time you're shopping carpet, maybe you should, too.

.They are very knowledgable. They have a large selection but if they don't have what you are looking for they can order it for you. They are very nice and they did a really good job. They were very easy to work with. We will use them again.

We recommend the company and their installer to anyone. They have a full range of product,their service was timely and professional. It is clear the companies policy is "service to the customer is number one"

My son had dropped some sauce on the carpet. I tried to get the carpets cleaned, but it smelt horrible. The guy, who did the installation, was amazing. He pulled back the carpet and put in new carpet padding underneath the carpet. He put down the old carpet on the new padding and that did the trick. It was awesome. He responded to me the very same day I had called him. It was great. I have been to America?s Carpet Outlet before. So, I had decided to use them for the repair. They charged $120 for the job.

We purchased three remnants to cover the concrete floors in our guest room area until we can install the final hardwoods and then bought some carpet from a roll to have stretched and installed in our master because we will be remodeling in a year or so and didn't want to live on concrete until then. We were looking for less expensive carpet to get by on until we put our final hardwoods in but still wanted good carpet that would last. They were more than willing to deal on the price of the carpets -so know that the tagged prices are not their final price for both the remnants and the carpet purchased to size. We paid them for the carpet and had to pay their installer at the time of install (they quoted us the install price at the time of carpet purchase). We took them the floorplan of the master bedroom and closets with all the measurements which included extra square footage in the measurements that were actually part of the counters so that they could calculate how much carpet we needed. When the installer showed up, he told me that we didn't have enough carpet to cover the quoted areas - I don't REALLY know who is at fault but based on what comes next I think the installer was trying to get out of work. The remnants we had bought happened to be the same carpet so we used that to make up the difference in the master bedroom since that was semi-permanent. However, after the install was complete, we were able to use the remnants to completely cover the floor in one guest room (which is what was originally planned for the remnant they cut in half) leading us to belive that there was plenty of carpet in the roll we bought for the master bedroom but they were being lazy in not wanting to piece it together (yes, all the remnants run in one direction so they could have pieced them together in the other room). In addition, the installer showed up without tack strip, even though I told them in the showroom that we had removed EVERYTHING, which delayed the job by 2+ hours. And the final install is terrible! The carpet doesn't even reach all the way to the walls in some places, they did not tack it down in the closets (because they didn't lay padding in the closets- I don't know what happened to that extra!) and they did not finish the seams where it meets our tile - the carpet has just been left flapping in the wind. On top of all this, I was quoted $120 for the install and then the installer told me we owed $135 (maybe for the tack strip they had to go buy at Home Depot?). I do not trust this company to quote an accurate price and provide a quality install.
