Description of Work: One the instance, called this company with an emergency repair as my hot water heater sprung a leak and water was leaking from the attic where the heater is located; left message with the lady answering the phone; got a call back 5 days later and they asked how they can help me. I said too late. Called another contractor who came out in 3 hours time. Another instance just two weeks ago, sent am email asking for them to come to house for an estimate on several home repairs. NEVER got a response. Two strikes and you're out.

Description of Work: George Nugent is outstanding. He replaced water damaged wood flooring and sheetrock. He put in extra effort to locate wood flooring that matched very well and performed the work with a high level of craftsmanship for a very fair price. I will definitely be calling him again for the next repair.

Description of Work: The remodeled my kitchen and parts of my garage and my master bedroom.

Description of Work: Modified cabinet above the microwave in order to make the microwave flush with the side cabinets. We are very happy with the results.

Description of Work: Each of my large double doors had not been installed correctly, and Michael removed each of the three sets, placed proper bracing and reinstalled. This required removing all door framing and finish molding. They were repaired and replaced to work as they should have been when installed. And then all molding was replaced, using the original if possible, but many times replacing with new trim. The trim was primed and painted and looked as though nothing had been done. The crews that Al send out are very professional and knowledgeable in their fields. I was very pleased and would definitely use them again in the future!

Description of Work: Al responded very quickly to a vague phone message I left him. Then he spent a good 15 minutes explaining his idea for how I could DIY removal of a cement/vinyl polymer deck coating off of my pool deck area. His ideas were well thought out and he was very patient in explaining them in way that any dense lay-person, such as I am, could understand. He told me where to get the machinery he recommends and was friendly and professional throughout the conversation. I will definitely call him if I need to hire someone for any of the types of projects (many!) that he does.

Description of Work: I hired Al the Handyman to fix my shower. He sent a man out to to my home to fix it. Al told me that he was licensed and bonded and that is why he charges higher prices. So I agreed to hire him to fix my shower for a lot of money. I was very surprised when Al called me to say that the man that he sent to my home had been stealing tools from him. He told me that the man who he sent to my home had been stealing his tools. Wow, how weird is that? Why should I spend that much money to have a man at my home who could be a thief?? Why didn't Al do a background check on his employee?? I cannot recommend this company.

Description of Work: Door frame repair, ceiling fan installation. Al has previously done drywall replacement for us.

Description of Work: Al came and performed an estimate (on time), the the following: Repair rotted siding on front of house, repair squeaking door, repair water damaged ceiling in garage and repair water damaged floorboard in bathroom and paint to match. The estimate came in quickly, the workers came in exactly when the appt was scheduled. My husband was at home and told me they even gave tips on other topics that were not in the bid. Yes we will use them again. Professional and reasonable.

Description of Work: I have several things that need to be done around my house. My electrical guy (who I love & who I found on Angie's List) referred me to Al. I called and an appointment was set for him to come out and give an estimate on a specified day between 3 & 4. He did not show and did not call. I called and left a voicemail to see if there had been a miscommunication. He did not return my call. I've waited a few days, thinking that perhaps there had been an emergency or something but I still have not heard from him. My whole afternoon was wasted.

Description of Work: Reconfigured an inside space to create a laundry room separate from an exercise room. Did complete job, including framing, drywall, electrical wiring, and custom-built cabinets. Excellent work.

Description of Work: Fixed hanging lantern, installed wall lanterns, moved some chandeliers, fixed leaking shower. Excellent work, very efficient, friendly, experienced and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend him. Thank you Jim for your amazing work ethic.

Description of Work: They created a custom door to hide an entertainment area. He also performed various handyman chores around the house.
