Alpha Granite-Austin

I gave them a deposit and waited 3 months for Dekton for our outdoor kitchen. They never told me they needed to order the material and it was on backorder. They finally got the material, but never fabricated my countertops. Communication was not good and never got updates. I had to call and email several times to reach anyone. I finally had to call my credit card company and tell them I needed to cancel my order. Not a great experience as I have now waited months for my countertops and my outdoor kitchen is still not done. I wasted a lot of time trying to work with this company.

There was a problem with the installation but the sales staff got to the point where he didn’t return my phone calls which was frustrating. There was an issue with the installation which was not done properly and it took them about four or five trips over six or eight weeks to finally get it right. They ultimately did the work but it was an excruciating process. The price was fair and this product is a high end product.

Tracy, the sales person, spent a great deal of time with me as I made my selections for the kitchen and baths. She has an extremely good eye for design and led me in the right direction for countertops, sinks and back splashes. She also had the awesome task of keeping me on budget, which she succeeded with! I was so impressed with her I ordered sinks and backsplashes also. I originally intended to order them elsewhere. Jim, in production always took my calls and kept me aware of how the order was coming along. He quickly came to my rescue when I needed an extra back splash and one piece remade (due to a change of mind). The installers were super!! Quick, professional and caring. Denis and Sonja, the owners work hard to put the "WOW" in customer service!

The workers came unaware that they had to do a tear down, so were not prepared. Then once they placed the new quartz on the counter, 6 hours later, it was CUT WRONG! They used the wrong template. So back it went to the shop, and I had no water, no surface space in kitchen and they left all the drawers, dishes, etc, all over the floor. So when I called Alpha Granite, they said that they could not come out the next day and that I would have to wait 2 days. No apologies, nothing!! Then when the correct countertop was finished, the workers left without reattaching my dishwasher, which I don't know why they detached it in the first place. They don't communicate with the customer. Plus they were the MOST EXPENSIVE!! proving that cost does not equate with quality. Don't use this company.

Alpha Granite were very professional. They are very attentive and friendly. They did what they said they were going to do.

Alpha Granite is a great company to work with. The sales person was Tracy and she was very patient and very helpful. I was there a few times and she worked with me each time. I picked one granite and then decided to switch to another and she was great in all respects. I purchased the granite on a Thursday, they came out and measured on a Friday and it was installed two weeks later (which is what we requested). They were prompt on their time of installation, professional and very nice to work with. I would definitely, without question, use their services again.

I hired Alpha Granite to remodel my kitchen countertop and backsplash. Alpha Granite subcontracted part of the job (backsplash) out to another company but did not include the subcontractor's job in the time frame given to me. When we questioned Alpha Granite (owner), he said "This is construction----things happen." No nothing happen other than Alpha Granite gave me a time frame for only part of the job. I was not told by anyone at Alpha Granite that they would be using a subcontractor initially and did not find out until half way through the first day when I realized that the job would not be done in 2-2 1/2 days as I was told. I was then told by Alpha Granite countertop installers that they were not doing the backsplash. I assumed when I hired Alpha Granite and asked for a time frame that they were giving me the time frame for the whole job. Very poor communication on Alpha Granite's part. And I do feel that Alpha Granite purposefully misled me. The owner of Alpha Granite did agree to give me a very small discount after a lengthy meeting with him. This amount didn't come close to compensating me for my missed days at work due to the extended time frame of the job.

See above, I have finally seen the finished counters and they are beautiful. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

We discovered Alpha Granite at one of the homes on this year's AIA Home Tour and were impressed with the Caesarstone material and the company's representative, Mark Galvin (who I later discovered was Alpha Granite's General Manager). Mark made the estimate for the work and submitted a very thorough proposal document along with the various color samples we requested. Once we closed on our home, I scheduled them to come out to make templates for the two countertops. The day before the appointment I received a confirmation call and the day of, I received a call that technicians were on their way. They arrived within the specified time window. I expected them to bring in sheets of cardboard or masonite for templates, but was pleasantly surprised when they set up a computerized measuring device. The two technicians were very professional and courteous. Ten days later, we received our countertops - this time with telephone and email notifications and confirmations. Two technicians made a very difficult installation using their ingenuity and skill to overcome several hurdles. The work was completed promptly and professionally with a high level of workmanship. They cleaned up after themselves and carefully reviewed the installation with me - making sure I was completely satisfied before they left. Several days later I noticed a problem when installing a plumbing fixture. They returned the next day to fix the problem with no argument or additional charge. I am very pleased with Alpha Granite's workmanship, professionalism and attention to customer satisfaction. I won't hesitate to recommend them to others and plan on having them return soon to replace the bathroom counters.

They were good. There was a problem that was created but they fixed it and made everything good. Overall it was a pretty good experience. We had a little bit of a problem with communication. The girl that we were working with went on maternity leave and we didn't know that. The person that replaced her was okay. It could have run smoother, but there were not any major things that would keep us from using them again.

The salesperson was new so there was a lot of going back and forth in terms of different kinds of things that I would have to do to prepare for it. There were a lot more calls than necessary to figure all of it out. They were always very responsive and flexible on scheduling. They installed the countertops with no problems. I didn't know that the fumes were going to be so strong and it was a freezing day. The next day I noticed some chips so I called them and again they were incredibly responsive in terms of coming out and fixing the chips. They were willing to do what needed to be done. I had numerous problems with the quartz countertops but it took two or three months to get it all taken care of. They did take some of the countertops back to fix them. They ended up replacing one completely. Alpha Granite did perfectly fine. The material sold to me was not quite as durable as I had expected it to be. It was not clear, but they definitely stood behind the product. I haven't had any problems since.

They came over the same day at no charge that I called them. Gave us the device that we needed for the countertop to fit with the dishwasher space. The device was objective. The tech was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
