Allco Contractors of Austin, TX contacted us via a cold-call and convinced my grandfather (who has dimensia) to meet with them and sign a contract for around $11,000. A fancy model of window was sold to us. One month later, they came to do the installation. They installed a much cheaper/plastic set of windows - many of which did not fit. They installed them anyway. We complained to Tom Schilling (the manager), and he said that he would order the correct ones and have them installed. Three weeks later - the windows were installed. One was oversized (AGAIN), and they again tried to cut the house (brick) to fit their poorly-measured window. It is now hanging with a massive gap between the house and the window (see pictures). They have not returned any calls, nor have they attempted to rectify the situation. We are now forced to pursue litigation in order to make this situtation livable. On a side note, they absolutely destroyed the paint around the windows, scratched the hard-wood floors, left broken glass and mortar from the cut bricks on the floor, and empty food packages and water bottles around the entire property. The blinds and curtains were caked in caulking and laying in the powdered glass on the floor when they left. This is a beautiful home that we worked hard for, and they show absolutely zero concern for our property. If you value your property, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE ALLCO CONTRACTORS.
