Robert is very responsive and honest. I used All in One Foundation repair for inspection and foundation concerns consultation. Robert was very helpful, he even offered to come out and check out the foundation FOR FREE. As opposed to other foundation repair companies, Robert wasn’t looking for nitpicks to make money, he assured me that the foundation is in a good shape.

This repair was requested in the middle of a major kitchen remodel and the fact that Tom Kam was able to assess the situation and do the drawings that night and Robert came within two days and completed the work really meant a lot to me as it didn't interfere with the remodeling progress. It was also really important that they found a way to fix the problem without having to disturb the framing and HVAC work which had just been completed. Both the Tom (the engineer) and Robert (All-In-One Foundation) couldn't have been more professional and accommodating.
Description of Work: Robert Knight came out with Tom Kam of TK Consulting, Austin, and followed Tom Kam's engineering drawings to level the floor. The house was built in 1984 and the wall at the corner of the kitchen was sunken causing a crack in the sheetrock and across the dining room ceiling. They were able to access the area under the pier and beam reinforcing bowth sides of the area and completed the work in less than 6 hours. Evidently the wall was sitting on just plywood between two floor trusses and over time had caused the floor to sink.

Robert Wright was our contact with All In One. He was very responsive to all our questions during our bid evaluation and was easy to deal with during the repair process. His work crew were very proficient and completed their tasks quickly. They encountered limestone rock after about four feet of digging which necessitated drilling core samples in two locations to be sure the rock depth was adequate to support the pier beams without digging further. The decision to dig no further was in accordance with the structural engineering firm review.
Description of Work: All in One installed 12 steel reinforced concrete piers and leveled the house concrete slab per the prescribed amount in the Engineers inspection report which called for corrections of 0.8 to 1.2 inches. Work was started on April 4 and completed on April 19. Work included removal and replacing three shrubs into their original location and hauling away the excess dirt remaining after pier beam holes were back filled. Our driveway where the dirt removed from the pier beam holes was stored during the beam installation was power washed to remove residual dirt residue. We paid an additional $550 to the structural engineering firm who did two inspections of the work in progress and a final inspection to certify work was done in accordance with their engineering report. We also paid $350 to a plumbing firm to do a static test of the house drain lines to be sure the lifting of the slab did not damage the integrity of any of the sewer lines.

They were great. Robbie Knight was the overseer and he is fantastic. Odon was the man in charge of the work. He was great, too. We could not believe how quickly Odon and his crew worked! And the work is top-notch. We had an engineer come and look at the work and he was impressed. We didn't get another estimate, but All in One was worth hiring even if they were more expensive (which, again, I don't know if it is true or not). They were recommended to us by our Realtor- yet another reason we love her!
Description of Work: They replaced 16 of the piers for our pier-and-beam foundation.

Executive summary: I chose these guys because they said they could start immediately and be done in a week and a half, and they were willing to offer a five-year warranty. The job took a MONTH and a half, the house still isn't level in places, and the warranty only covers parts of the work. Block and pad piers, for instance, are only covered for one year. Long version: After hiring them, they waited a week to start. Two weeks into the job, they'd replaced the beams and joists and told me they needed another payment. After I gave them the check, they promptly stopped working on my house again. A few days later, they called to tell me that their proposal wasn't up to code (these guys have been in business for ten years) and instead of block and pad piers, they had to do all sonotube to be in conformance with city codes. They sent me a new estimate $2000 higher than what was in the contract and assured me that all the work would be done at the end of the following week. Three weeks later, they leveled the house. I think it was around that time that they cut through my sewer pipe. Around the end of September, they finally installed the skirting. I had to go around and around with them about getting the sewer pipe fixed (which they eventually did) and getting the parts of the house still not level made level (after a month and a half of working on my home off and on, they told me after an hour of looking at those areas that they couldn't be made level). They offered no discount and argued with me every time I tried to get them to take responsibility for any of the things that went wrong with this job, while also constantly pressuring me to write them further checks outside the schedule laid out in the contract. When I asked to see the terms of the warranty and the final elevations (which, it turns out, are fictional anyway) before making my final payment, they threatened me with a lien. I paid them the amount specified by my contract with them and no more, and I still think I got robbed.
Description of Work: Hired them to level my house, replace rotted beams and joists, replace piers with new blocks and pads, and add skirting.

The estimator came on time (but then spent 5-10 minutes on his cell phone before he came to the door.) It took him about 30 minutes, using a digital level, to determine that our slab, though slightly cracked, was level and not in need of repair. We shook hands and he left.
Description of Work: Determine whether leveling/repair was required and if so, estimate the cost.

Response from All In One Foundation Repair
[member name removed], I greatly appoligize for the unprofessionalism that you experienced with All in One in 2006. My name is Robert Knight and I am running the company and have been since 2010. I can assure you that we do not operate that way currently and if ever you have a house that needs to be looked at, or advise on a foundation, please give me a call and I will be happy to help you out. I would like the oportunity to change your opinion about our company as a whole. The estimators that had came out to your house in 2006 (I was not with the company in 2006) are no longer with the company. However, I appreciate your attention to detail and profesionalism as that is exacty how I run this company currently. Hopefully you dont need foundation repair anytime soon but if you do, give us a try and I guaranty your experience will be the complete opposite of the experience in 2006.
