Alice's Cleaning Service

SCAM! Do _NOT_ use! We had the perform a "deep cleaning", they had to run to their next job so they didn't have time to do the walk through - they ran off the with check. I mean, there was still dirt on the floor, dirt all over and dust. By the time (about 10 minutes) we did the walk through and realized they didn't clean anything, they had already deposited the check?! (I guess they had time to do that before they had to be at their next appointment) So our bank could _not_ put a stop payment on the check since it had already been cashed by these scam artists. Can't believe they're even allowed to have an Angie's List profile, but I do see now that they simply changed the profile name to get away from their previous reviews. Bottom line: Do _NOT_ use.

The service turned out fine. I did find that the microwave and a plug in the bathroom did not work after the service. I called to let them know and they said that it was already that way before the service. I was weary of using the service again after that happened. Everything was clean and they were nice to work with during the service but I have not used them since. They did let me know for future visits the cost would go up and I did not feel it would be worth it.

Very nice people who did a good job except that dusting was missed in spots.

Everything went well with them. They were top-notch, on-time, and did a great job. Three people came out and they were here for the duration of Big Deal. They cleaned and dusted the majority of the rooms, the kitchen, and the bathroom.

I bought a $99 coupon for 6 hours of house cleaning from Alice's Cleaning. Steve was very personable and professional on the phone. A three member family team came to my house on time and got right to work. They listened carefully to my desires and were pleasant to work with. The three worked for the 2 hours + a bit to complete the housecleaning. Steve detailed the bathrooms, really making the dirty tub and fixtures shine. I enjoyed working with the crew and would use them again.

They did a great job and we have continued to use them.

I contracted with them in response to an Angle's Deal. Six person-hours of housecleaning for $99. My house was really a disaster with months of accumulated dust and spider webs. Steve & Sandy cleaned and shined my kitchen, two bathrooms, and very long hallway and dusted and vacuumed the living/dining room, including ceiling fans and lots of pictures on the walls. I want to have them come at least once a month.

I couldn't be more pleased with the staff and quality of the work performed by Alice's Cleaning Service. They were prompt, professional and communicated effectively with me. They started by walking through the house with me to clarify the work I wanted completed. The three member team worked hard for two hours (6 person hours.) When the work was completed, they had me walk through to see if I was satisfied. I was HIGHLY satisfied. I have a new black electric cook top that I despise as I never seem to get it cleaned. It was spotless when they left!

Whenever I contracted them, they were too busy that they couldn’t get to me. They said it wouldn’t be until after the holidays that they could do the cleaning for us. I got the deal refunded and did not use their service.

I love the reliable service and willingness to tailor the service to my needs.

They came to clean the first story of the home. It was a husband and wife that did the job. They did just an okay job. They were in and out and didn’t do anything extraordinary.

They did a great job and I even had them come back a couple times.

They were flexible with scheduling and did a fine job. I don't remember the date of service provided, but I had to plug in some numbers in order to submit this evaluation.

Very well. They do a thorough job, and are responsive to any suggestions or requests.

Trying to contact them is like herding cats. It's just an exercise in futility. I would not recommend them.

They seemed more inteested in getting in and getting out in the two hours. I didn't really feel like they wanted my business in the future. Probably because they thought I couldn't afford them. It was the owner and his wife who came out.

Excellent, could not have asked for more! They are on time, thorough, use their own products which work very well, and are very pleasant to work with.

I have avoided writing this review because I am a business owner and know how reviews can affect business. Yet, although the cleaning was okay, how Alice's handled a problem after the cleaning was unacceptable and very unprofessional. Cleaning was adequate. Unfortunately, the team accidently locked the door of the downstairs bathroom which could not be opened from the outside. When I called them to report it, they adamantly denied it. I am sure it was the team because, the bathroom rugs were left outside the room. When I discovered them, I went to place them in the restroom and found the door locked from the inside. An easy mistake to make. I asked about Alice's liability insurance to cover the cost of a locksmith. The insurance company called me and said their client denied locking the door. I was left with the expense of hiring a locksmith. As a business owner I know that, in an instance like the one I've described, you always.consider the side of the client. Alice's cleaning service basically called me a liar. I hope they have grown to understand the negative impact such a position can have on their business.

.The couple worked very hard, dividing up the work. They cleaned my 2 story house from top to bottom and left it smelling good and looking good.

I like the staff at Alice's and thought they did a pretty good job on my house. They sometimes run late, but for me that was not a big problem. Easy to keep in touch with and generally pleasant to work with.

These guys were simply great, and thorough. I had some unusual cleaning requests (cleaning the over in the home of a severe smoker) and we were able to work something out very reasonable, and they did a great job.

The couple (I believe they are a husband-wife team) arrived promptly and were very courteous. Since I hadn't specified a specific area for deeper cleaning (e.g. kitchen, bathroom), their goal seemed to be to cover as much ground in 2 hours as possible, and they did so. It was a good quick cleaning, but I'd have to have them back for a more thorough detailed cleaning to answer questions about thoroughness. This is not a shortcoming on their part but, I feel, the nature of the "deal" I purchased. I was pleased with the result and would have them back again if I need the house cleaned but lack the time to do it myself.

I signed up for a cleaning "special" ad that ran on Angies list - for 4 hours cleaning - my home, non-commercial (small 1300 sq ft, single story/ 2 bath 2.5 bedrooms). I needed some to help me clean up to prepare my house for a funeral gathering. I called the service that had run the special and their hours were not compatable with mine without me taking more time off from work. I really had no more time to take due to the long term hospice care. They had no time for over 2 weeks even if I did take off, so decided to use my "special" at another time. I contacted them again a month later to experience the same thing and then pretty much forgot about them until the expiration date came up on my calendar. I called and we set up a time in the middle of the day after lunch so I only had to take 1/2 a day off at least. I was very clear about being short of time. On the due date, about 1-2 hours before hand they called and left a message on my cell phone that said they were on their way over to my house and would be waiting for me. They hoped that it wasn't inconvienent for me. When I got the message at work, I dashed out about 30 minutes early to try to get there before they left. They were waiting in front of my house. I was expecting half a day of cleaning, instead they said that as they brought 2 people - so it was equivalent to 4 hours of work. True, but not what I expected. I went over the instructions with them as we had discussed when originally setting up the appointment on the phone. They informed me that with the "special" - they did not clean the stove tops - that was an individual fee in itself. It wasn't really a big job, but I have always had that included in any cleaning service I have had. I had to ask them to wheel out the refridgerator to sweep behind it. I have three throw rugs in my bedrooms, that need shaking out and vacuumed. They were just going to skip those. I expected them to dust everywhere - my two ceiling fans included, again I had to ask. I thought they had done the whole house for sweeping, vacuuming and mopping. But, when I looked at the kitchen floor, it really hadn't been wet mopped, so they went back and "damp" mopped it (my mop -left uncleaned). I provided the floor cleaner for the laminate floors, as they hadn't brought anything for those. They had used my vacuum for cleaning, but did not empty the bag. Then I went back to start checking other areas only to find, they also didn't move anything when dusting or vacuuming, even a foot stool beside my bed that can be moved with two fingers or a stray book on a shelf remained unmoved and undusted underneath. They did however leave right on time at 2 hours, since they had set up an additional appointment for the end day after they realized they could get to my house early. A time that they had told me at the time of setting the appointment was not available, as they made their appointments in 4 hour intervals. They were courtious enough and the things they did clean looked good; however, I found way too many area's they missed or did not include. They informed me they could clean my whole house thoroughly for $130, but another time, as they had to leave that day. They won't be hearing from me again.

This husband-wife team came in to rescue my house from months of neglect. I work at home and they quietly worked around me. When they were finished everything looked great.

When they were finished, the house looked great! They mopped the floors better than I do.
