Description of Work: We scheduled Peter's team to come out to our house on two separate occasions to refinish our tub with the scheduling correspondence over email. My husband scheduled his day to stay home from work and meet them each time. The first time, we received a call an hour before telling us the guy scheduled for our house was sick and they already had another house that was scheduled to have an open house the next day, so they couldn't shuffle to get us in. Totally understand that people get sick. That happens to everyone. So, we rescheduled the service for another morning the next week. We specifically confirmed the next appointment via email, and my husband again stayed home from work to meet the team/person. The second time, it wasn't until we emailed a few minutes after the worker was scheduled to arrive that we emailed Peter, asking where the guy was that we found out he was sick again. It was the same guy. If I am running that business, I'd have a backup plan for an employee that has been sick for that long and let my affected clients know. Peter did call and apologize, and offered us $25 off our service for the trouble. However, we're frustrated by the lack of professionalism in being considerate of our time on repeat occasions.

The only little hitch I had with them was that they had to come back the second time because it was not covered that well in some places as it should be. They were glad to come back. The representative worked on it until I was satisfied. He was very conscientious about doing a good job. I couldn’t recommend then any higher.

+ -1 moreRefinisher was prompt (arrived a little early even) and did a good job on the refinishing of the tub. He was supposed to come back the next day to finish up (remove lining paper, reinstall fixtures, etc.), but he left a compressor behind on our front porch and when he came back some five hours later, he went ahead and finished up the job while he was there and didn't have to return the following day.
Description of Work: Complete refinishing of one standard bathtub.

+ -1 morePeter (owner) and Roy (employee/refinisher) did a great job on our repairs. The work was extremely time intensive (took a good part of two days). Both were friendly and professional and went above what we expected. We would not hesitate to call on them again in the future.
Description of Work: We had a couple of large chips in the enamel of the guest bath tub. Rather than spot-fix it, Advanced Bathtub Refinishing's policy is to completely refinish the tub. We have had this tub spot-fixed before and it didn't last, so we were happy to redo the whole tub. Upon our request they also changed the tub hardware to match the other hardware in the bathroom. We also had a chipped corner of the sink (cultured marble) repaired. The stand-alone shower in our master bath developed fissures and a crack in the flooring. Rather than replace the entire shower floor, a sheet of fiberglass was adhered to the existing surface, epoxied and cured. We know this saved us a bundle! We also had a large square cut out of the sheetrock surrounding our garden tub (from a plumbing repair) and while this is not the kind of repair this company does, Peter (the owner) was kind of enough to repair it for us.

+ -1 moreIt was a two day job. First day to prep the area, remove fixtures, and spray the epoxy. The second day was to reattach the fixtures once the area was dry. My unit was empty so I'm not sure how long (hours) it took. You might ask that if you hire this firm. Overall I was happy with the quality and service of this company. I would use them again.
