Description of Work: $500 for basically grouting a portion of my counter top and installing a towel rack. The guy came late, looked over the list of items I had for him to do in 4 hours, and proceeded to tell me how he could not do most of them and how it would cost soooo much more money (never mind that I've since had all the items fixed for around the same price I ultimately paid ABC). So in four hours he grouted some of my counter top and fixed a loose tile there, did a bit of sealant and weather stripping around a door, and installed a towel rack. $500? What a joke, ABC.

Description of Work: Very poor communication. I called to get an estimate on weekly lawn service for two separate rental properties. I was told that they'd schedule someone to meet me at each property to give me an estimate. I explained that that was inconvenient as I did not occupy either property and that I was just looking for a quote for simple weekly lawn service. She understood and said she'd make note for the estimator to just call me when he looked at both properties. I also noted that the tenants were not to be bothered and that all communication go through myself or my husband as the property managers. I asked her if their commercial services would be more appropriate for what I was looking for and she said since they were SF homes that it needed to be residential services. Fast forward a week and I'm getting phone calls from the estimator asking where I am. After speaking with him and explaining AGAIN that I would not be meeting him at either property, I was told that what I was asking for was considered a drive by estimate and that's not how their company did things. he went on to try and reschedule a time for me to meet at both properties which I the explained would not be convenient for me as I was just looking for an estimate on simple lawn service for rental properties. He then told me that he rang the doorbell of the first home and was about to do the same thing at the second home. When I again explained that all communication was to go through myself or husband as the landlord and property manager, he told me that that made him uncomfortable as if I'm going to pay for some random persons lawn service without their consent. I spoke with three other services that were able to look at satellite maps or drive by to give me a cost, I will not be using ABC for any of my property needs as they took something very simple and managed to make it very complicated and demonstrated poor communication.

Description of Work: Been using for 25 years for quarterly pest control & annual pest protection of attic. Office always helpful. Some field personnel are superb -- some not. Obviously, considering the length of our relationship we consider them to be reasonably good for this type of business. Cost = approx. $70.00 per quarter. Business is VERY Eco Conscious. They do offer a lot of other services in case you want to use one source for pest control, lawn, handyman services, etc. - etc. - etc.

Description of Work: i called because i knew i had a leak but could not find it, so they said they would send someone who could find it. well, they sent just a regular plumber who said he did not have the equipment to find a leak. he didn't charge me but it did waste my time

Description of Work: I use ABC for pest control at my home residence. I also just called them on Saturday for a water heater outage at my home. They are currently still working this issue and thus far the experice has been great. I came into my business this morning and discovered one of my AC units not working. I have a current service provider I have used (Airco Austin) so I called them and they said they could have a tech out today. Since I just had a home issue and good experience with ABC I called them to see if I could get ABC to come out instead of my normal provider. The ABC phone staff was excellent (Layla) but when I was sent over to the Air Conditioning repair dept the customer service person siad there was no way to get any service today and it would be tomorrow earliest. I am sending you this as an FYI . . .I would be willing to pay a premium for same day or same morning service. I really need this unit repaired this morning so I had to go elsewhere for service. Description of Work: Pest control services was $166, and balance was tree service (cutting down tree, trimming large tree and deep root fertilizer).

Description of Work: I use them for monthly pest control, I've on the greenbelt and lots of rodents. they tend to stay gone (the rodents) and if they show up, ABC is right out here to deal with the problem.

Description of Work: I have their contract for heating and airconditioning twice-yearly inspection of system. When my air conditioner developed a problem, I, by the contract got immediate service- someone came out at 7:00 p.m. of the day I'd called at 3:00 p.m. Also, they honored the contract by which I did not have to pay time and a half for after-usual-hours work. I also have their pest control service . They schedule well ahead by postcard , reschedule easily if the date they've picked is not convenient for you. they are on time and professional.

Description of Work: called last week. it's been 7 business days and no one has come out. we've called 3 times now to express the urgency. the pool waterfall pump that went out is tied to our a/c cooling tower. this is a good company, but it's a crapshoot when they will come out after you call.

Description of Work: Last year about this time, I used ABC Home and Commercial Services to install Christmas Lights on my home. In January they returned to take them down and store them in my attic. I wanted to follow up on my initial report for 2010 on their allowing a 10% discount for re-installing the lights this year during November. They installed the lights very professionally and returned yesterday to set the timers and show me how to reset or turn off the lights. At all times their personnel were courteous and knowledgeable. This year I also had my daughter's new house decorated by ABC as a Christmas present and she was pleased as much as I.
