It was great. They did everything that we had asked them to do. I have always had a good experience with them. There were two stages to the tree work, somebody came out and gave us an estimate first and then somebody came out and did it a week later. The person that did the estimate was a registered arborist; he knew our trees and knew the trees in the area, so he was able to answer all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and he recommended the best way to do what we wanted done.

It went very well and they did an excellent job. My only regret is that they were supposed to send me an email estimate for an additional attic stair in another location, but they never did.

The exclusion work was effective. We've had no more rats since then. Juan comes back every three months to check the bait traps and there is an extra charge for this. I'm not sure if this is really necessary and I plan to cancel the service by the end of the year. Juan is very professional and courteous. In April, I called ABC because I thought I smelled a dead rat under the house. It turned out it was a dead possum. Normally ABC charges to remove dead animals other than those for which you have a bait and exclusion plan. Juan came out the same day. He said he would take away the possum free of charge. He recommended putting wire mesh screen up over the lattice under three sets of porch steps, as there seemed to be evidence that larger animals were getting in under at least one of these porches. I agreed. This work was an additional $165. It seems to be working, though he made it clear they could not guarantee it. My only criticism of ABC's service was that the gentleman who originally came and gave me the estimate for the rat exclusion work said that the work would include sealing up the entire perimeter of the crawl space. However when he arrived to do the work, Juan told me that this would not be effective. Rats will find a way to burrow under any wire or other material around the house's perimeter. He recommended using hardware cloth to block every individual hole from the crawl space into the house's walls and cavities. So the info that the estimator gave didn't match the work done. However I'm happy that Juan has effectively excluded rats.

ABC always does great work - we have used them for about 20 years. This latest appointment was for an inspection to renew our rodent warranty. Michael was on time (as usual) and very professional. He went over and above the call of duty when he saw our exhaust turbine (on the roof) needed adjustment, he took care of it for my disabled husband. Thanks, Michael!

It really went well. Since I went through the City of Austin's Energy Rebate/Loan program I had to have their inspectors come and approve the work which was inconvenient but ABC was great. They did all the work in one day and cleaned up well. My electric bill even dropped 20% so far. Larry Sellers was the lead man from ABC but everyone in their organization is great and they really care about customer service! I trust them.

We have been using ABC for pest control for over 10 years. It has been a good experience. They send us a postcard a couple weeks before they come out and always arrive on time. We just have them treat the outside of our house. A few times I have had them come back to treat the inside if we have problems. We have had ants, roaches, and spiders in the past. Using ABC keeps them at bay. Since they just treat outside, I feel a lot better, knowing that we don't have a lot of pesticides inside our house.

Sales consultation, service, installation, and follow up were all excellent. Details of service described in "what did the provider do?" I would recommend ABC to anyone. One of the things I find very attractive about their service model is the wide range of services they provide. It's like a one-stop shopping for home services and they perform!

The experience as a whole was a nightmare and ABC took over a month to resolve our issue. We first called ABC after there were very loud noises coming from our attic space. ABC came out a couple days later, I told the service guy that I was sure it was racoons based on how loud the noise was. He was convinced it was squirrels and he proceeded to put out some small squirrel traps and tack chicken wire on the three gabled areas of my house. After many more sleepless nights and a couple more visits by ABC, I got up one night at 2AM to find a raccoon tearing out one of my soffit vents. So, ABC came back with larger raccoon traps and patched one of the two soffit vents that had been destroyed. After many more nights without sleep and more damage to the house, ABC sent in yet another crew to address the problem. More traps and tennis balls soaked in coyote and raccoon urine. This seemed to work for a couple nights but then it was back to no sleep. ABC came out again and put out even more traps with new bait and finally after a several nights the raccoon was caught. The whole experience took roughly a month, I now have chicken wire tacked to three areas of my house and two soffit vents destroyed. I also expect that I have damage to the A/C ducts in the attic since the raccoon was up there for so long. Frankly I could have tacked chicken wire to my house and bought a couple of traps for a lot less money. For the money I paid them I expected experts to quickly deal with the issue, it was just one raccoon. I now have to have my gable vents rebuilt, new soffit vents put in and repairs done to the duct work in the attic. The only good thing I can say about ABC at this point is that most the crew was friendly and seemed to be trying their best most the time. I don't believe much of their team knows what they are doing. At the end they did put forth a solid and skilled effort to get rid of our pest but this was after a month of failures.

Late Friday night, it became clear that the A/C fan was on in our house... but the house wasn't cooling at all. I called ABC (who we have used many times). Jorge was at our house w/in an hour, explained what he was doing, and had the whole house cool again in no time at all. We received a Home Warranty when we bought this house last year, but we always use ABC when we want something done fast and properly. We also have a rental property and recently used ABC to address a plumbing issue there. Great service again. I HIGHLY recommend them.

They did a great tree trim. I have never had that done before, but I build this new house and the old trees had never been trimmed. My neighbors and I were worried they would cut too much off, but they did a great job. Did not leave a mess. They did miss a couple plastic bags in a tree and I had a not so great and a great experience getting that taken care of. The first time I called, the rep was suspicious of me and supposedly scheduled crews, but it did not happen. The second time I called, I did not even mention I called already and this rep sent the guys right out and they finished the job.

Scorpions and snakes are a problem in my area. The technician walked every inch of my attic, I am pretty sure, looking for scorpions. Did not find any and I have not seen any either. They put down a ring of scorpion granules around the house and set some insect traps inside the house. They put copper mesh in the weep holes and treated fire ants outside. Very good service. They don't put insect killer down in the yard, though. If you are a bug-a-phobe, go to Home Depot and buy something to treat lawn insects yourself. Most of the bugs in my house come from open doors. If they are not in the lawn, they cannot come in.

Large rodents are gone and now we are seeing smaller rodents. They have set new traps for these.

Water was spewing from the pipe from behind the wall! ABC's John C was fast, efficient, and effective! We will definitely use them again!

I have used ABC for A/C installation as well as for removal of rodents from my attic and replacement of insulation damaged by rodents. I have always been pleased with the work they have done. I was told that a technician would be at my address between 2-5 pm. At 5 pm, I was called and told that he was held up at a previous job and was on his way. He arrived about 5:30 pm. My experience with the gentleman who came out to give me an estimate on my plumbing problem was not as positive. He was a bit arrogant and a bit confusing in his presentation. His first approach was that most hot water heaters have a life expectancy of 7 to 10 years. Since mine was almost exactly 7 years old and just out of the 6-year warranty, it very well might need to be replaced. Another possibility was a nonfunctiional heat trap nipple. Although he gave me some options, he made it sound as though replacement of the heat trap nipple might further damage the hot water heater. In the final analysis, he suggested that he bring a hot water heater out, try replacement of the heat trap nipple first, and if that did not work, he could install the new water heater. I asked him to let me think it over. In the meantime, another company came out to give me an estimate. Upon checking my kitchen and bathroom hot water taps, the technician immediately knew what the problem was, went out to his truck to retrieve tools and the part. He had the problem solved and was out of there in less than 30 minutes. He replaced the heat trap nipple, with no mention of the life expectancy of hot water heaters. My hot water taps are back to normal pressure!

ABC Specialist, Jorge came to our home and gave a full explanation of the central heating & air unit and what he had done after he did a thorough maintenance check. He was very polite and informative. I would highly recommend ABC and will use them again for future home repairs/maintenance.

They fixed a leaking faucet, a running toilet, and serviced the water heater.

My wife and I disagree somewhat on the lawn care service - I rate them about an A- while she is more like B-. My wife gets frustrated sometimes at the team's lack of English because she is unable to convey some things she would like done. I don't think it's quite as big a problem as she allows it to become at times. In short I am very happy with the ABC service and plan to continue using them - we have been their clients for 3-4 years now.

Stephen the handyman dismantled the patio cover quickly and cleanly. He hauled the debris away and cleaned the work area. I would recommend ABC to anyone needing handyman work.

I did not know ABC did so many other services including painting, carpentry, and A/C service. I got an estimate the day after I called and they started the project the following Monday. They were inline with the other estimates I had recieved, although not the cheapest. Tony , the handyman, they sent was professional and prompt. The house was built in 2009 and we have had to have the front and garage door refinished every year. which seemed excessive . The garage door had 2 boards that had warped and the stain was pealing off because the painter did not use the proper stain and sealant . Tony replaced the 2 warped boards and properly stained and sealed both doors. He also put up additional shelves in the garage, put a laminate counter on 2 cabinest in the garage , added extra support brackets on existing shelves that were beginning to warp. He also made some other suggestions to improve the storage capacity. Tony was great and fast. He did all of this in 2 days. He was very neat, professional and clean. I will definitely use ABC again.,
