AARDVARK MOVING CO LLC

If I could give negative stars to this so called business I would. I can't stress enough - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are liars and bad business people. We contracted with them 1 month in advance to move my daughters 1 bedroom apartment. I called 2 days prior to the move and confirmed with MARLON that we were still on for move day. He said we were and that the guys would be there between 1-3. Well, 2:30 came and we got a sob story call from Marlon who informed us that "our" truck had mechanical problems and they were going to have to try and reroute another truck our way. He said we would be looking at around 5:00 but he would keep us updated. I called at 6:30 when I still hadn't heard from Marlon and surprise! got an answering machine. (Marlons number , by the way, is a Houston telephone number. ) I then called ANGIE at the local Austin office who assured me that they were doing everything they could but it was a very busy day being the first of the month and all the students were moving and blah, blah,blah. She said that they had TWO trucks break down. I informed her that we wanted to move that night as my daughter had taken off of work and wanted to get it done. ANGIE assured me that the guys would be there. We hung up and very shortly after, ANGIE called back and said that she had put a post on Craigslist for movers with a truck that could move a one bedroom and that she had found someone. I told her that we did not want anyone from Craigslist as we could have gone that route ourselves but chose to use a "professional" moving company. So we left it that the guys would be at the apt in 45 mins. So who shows up? Two guys in a trailblazer and cart. When my daughter questioned them further, they admitted they were the guys from Craigslist and that ANGIE had sent them! After we had declined! By this time it's 8:30 pm on move day and both MARLON and ANGIE were not answering the phone. Now tomorrow, we are scrambling to find another moving company. The next day - thank you, thank you ABC Moving Company for coming to our rescue!
