What can I say? We moved into a house that was used, abused and mistreated. We thought it was too much until we called Sal. He carefully and methodically made repairs to each and every item. Additionally, if he saw something minor, he would just fix it. He treated my house the way he would his own. Every time he brought in a ladder, he was careful not to bang the walls. And he always had a tip on how to remove unwanted paint, or when to cut the mint in my garden. He even helped my landscapers when they hit my tree! He just cares. I know I will be calling Sal again!

Sal is absolutely amazing. He is incredibly detail oriented and won't stop working until the job is perfect. He had to match several paint colors for the walls and ceiling when we didn't have any leftover paint. He'd make a great chemist if he weren't already such a fabulous handyman. My only problem giving him a great review is that it might increase his business and it'll become harder to book his time (I selfishly would like to keep him all to myself). Sal is personable, reliable, professional, hard-working and very honest. I can't imagine hiring anyone else.

Sal was very professional. He did a great job at a very fair price. He did a very good job at patching, texturing and painting. The 3 in. by 3 in. patch was very good, you couldn't tell where it was done after he was finished. His estimate was accurate. He cleaned up everyday after he finished for the day. Removing the popcorn is usually a messy job, but he was able to accomplish with no mess. Sal is meticulous about his work. I would use him again for another job.

Sal was GREAT! He did absolutely excellent work. My bathrooms look 100 times better since he worked his magic. He was quick and efficient and everything looked top notch when he was done! He will be my handyman from this point forward. He was able to fit me into his tight schedule at a moments notice and help me out of a renovation bind. Thanks, Sal!!

Sal did a fantastic job. We knew we had a long list of items to be fixed but it turned out that he also had to undo some unexpected problems from the original installs. One example was a copper pipe that the former owners of the house had welded in place rather than putting proper connectors. This is one example where the original job expanded with multiple "extras" required and all were handled very cost effectively and professionally. Sal does exactly what he says he will, for the price quoted, double & triple checks his work and always communicates thoroughly. We recommend him anytime!

I find them on Angies list. Called them for a estimate. No Answer so I left a message. Never received a call back. Business must be great it you don't return customers calls.

I had hairline ceiling cracks fixed by another guy about 2 weeks ago - normal very minor cracking from a 12 year period of house settling. The original guy patched with silicone calking and painted: the end result was a disaster - nothing matched. I called up Angie's List and subsequently contacted Sal, who was heavily booked at the time but said he would come in about a week or so, which, true to his word, he did. Although he arrived to do a look-see at what the problem was, he wound up staying for 2 hours to match paint, telling me it was the first step in doing this the right way. He did not charge me for this but did manage to blend paint to match and then quoted a very reasonable price to remove the calking, re-patch with proper materials, float the multiple sections to re-level the areas, re-texture and then paint to blend the whole thing in. The work was fast, reasonable, expertly done and Sal left everything clean and in perfect repair. An honest professional who takes pride in a job well done and produces quality work from beginning to end. I cannot begin to tell you how refreshing it is to meet and employ someone of his caliber - he is prompt, courteous, knows what he is talking about and does a h*** of a job at an affordable price. I will be using his services again as needs arise and I heartily recommend that you do too.

Sal is very skilled. Somehow Sal was able to make the paint match. It looks perfect. We would hire Sal any day. He is very professional courteous timely and takes pride in his work. We highly recommend him

Had a leak in my 2nd floor toilet that stained my celing on first floor. Sal cut out drywall and replaced it. Mudded and retextured the area. Did a great job. Also had a bathroom fan that quit working properly. Sal took it apart and went to 2 different stores to find replacement parts. Finally found a suitable replacement motor for the fan that fit. fan works great now. Sal is a very genuine and friendly guy and does very thorough work. Would hire him again anytime.

He patched a section of sheet rock that was about 4' x 6". He taped and floated it, no texture. It took him about 2 hrs

The service person arrived on time, assessed the job, and then repaired the holes to a very high standard. He did excellent work.

Great! We quickly got on Sal's schedule and he arrived promptly on the day of our appointment. He assessed the damage and quickly covered the surrounding area with paper as to not get paint or other materials on the surrounding wall or wood floor. He explained the process throughly and gave lots of detail about what he was doing so we could potentially do smaller projects ourselves if the need arises. He also repaired and painted over all of the old picture hanging holes free of charge which was greatly appreciated!

Sal did an outstanding job on every project on our list. He is very thorough and conscientious. For several projects he figured out a better way to do them than what we had originally proposed. Even though he quoted us a fixed price he spent as long as necessary to get each project done exactly right, including a couple that took an hour or two longer that what he originally anticipated. He is also very clever about fixing things. For example, we had an outdoor light that hasn?t worked in ten years and two other handymen had tried unsuccessfully to fix. Sal figured out how to fix it in just a few minutes. We could not be happier with his work and will definitely hire him again in the future. I highly recommend him.

Sol returned last evening with my coffee table. Yes, he had it for about a month; however, it was well worth it! The finished product was better than something I could have purchased in a furniture store. After hearing Sol's story about why it took so long, my opinion of him, which was already good, went up 10-fold! At his own expense, he sanded and refinished the table 3x due to a chemical reaction with something that was already in the wood and had penetrated deeply. As he stated, he was bound and determined to get this right and continued to work on my coffee table until a masterpiece appeared! He didn't charge me any more than he had quoted me, even though he put in many hours on what we both thought would have been a simple project. Upon returning my coffee table, I asked Sol if he had a few minutes to fix a cabinet door which had fallen off the hinges. He quickly said yes and immediately set to work. Within 30 minutes he was done. Very impressive! For customer service and going above and beyond the call, if there was an individual's picture to put in the dictionary besides the words "ethical," dependable," "honest," and "talented," that picture would be of Sol Love. He is forever my AAA Handyman!!

If there were a training manual about how to go about customer service, estimation, execution and clean up, he would be the example. He is first on the list for any home issues for not only me but our friends and neighbors. Sal and his company are what Angie's List is all about. Getting what you asked for, getting what you pay for, and all executed in a reliable, friendly manner.

I bought a new ceiling fan the needed installation and had a few other small jobs I needed done at our home. I called Sal at AAA Handyman as he has done work for me in the past. Again, every aspect of the job was excellent. We will most definitely call Sal at AAA Handyman any time we need work done at our home. I don't think there is anything Sal cannot do!

Sol quoted me a price and asked if he could go ahead and do the work. Upon agreement he immediately set to work. Not only was he fast and efficient, but did a wonderful job on both projects. He even took the time to inform me of the dangers of popcorn ceilings that if installed prior to 1969 might contain asbestos. Thankfully my home was built in the 80's. He was very fair and before starting stated that if he could not fix the door he would not charge me for the labor. I'm pleased he was able to fix the door and very professionally. What he thought would be about an hour took him almost four hours, but he did not change his quoted price.

Everything went perfectly. Sal was right on time, got a clear understanding of what needed to be done and then spent the next 10 hours completing all the tasks. He only took about a 5 minute break to eat a light snack before continuing the job. He is meticulous and thorough....just what you want when pulling knobs and pulls on cabinets and installing drapery rods.

Previous homeowner had moved a section of cabinets and the under-cabinet microwave from the kitchen proper to the eating area. This new setup looked ridiculous and made the eating area nearly unusable, so I decided to have them taken down. Sal gave an estimate of $250 to take down the cabinets and microwave and patch and texture the drywall underneath. He noticed another area in the living room where a doorknob had punched through the drywall and been poorly repaired with a large circular patch (also by a previous incompetent homeowner) and we negotiated an additional $50 to repair and texture that mess. Sal carefully removed the cabinets and microwave, pointing out some potential issues to me during the process (e.g. cabinets had been glued to the wall in some areas, which might risk pulling paint and/or texture off the wall). They came off cleanly and were removed to the garage to gather dust until I decide what to do with them. Sal then patched and textured the two wall areas (large 2-foot by 6-inch gap that had been removed to supply power to the microwave as well as the doorknob mess), a process which took several hours (longer than I'd expected). The results look great. Sal blended the knockdown texture perfectly with the rest of the wall. I painted over the eating area patch (which Sal helpfully reminded me to prime before painting) and when I had some guests over none could tell the area had been patched. I ding Sal slightly on professionalism (to a C which is "Fair" not "Bad") because he is a bit chatty and spoke at length a couple times about someone who gave him a negative review on Angie's List and how much that bothered him (which is understandable but still a bit unprofessional to discuss while working with a new client). That said, he did good work and I'd hire him again.

Everything went well and the job was completed as scheduled. His estimate was the same as the final cost. The only problem washe ran about an hour later than stated on both mornings. This was not an issue for us and this is the only negative thing that couldbe said about him or his work. He used plastic to cover all the areas not affected and did a thorough cleaning job when completed. Overall we are very pleased with everything he did.
