A+ Sprinklers & Landscape

Not good. My name is Tim Bishop and I live in Travis Country in SW Austin. On Aug 12, 2020 I paid $487.68 to A+ sprinklers. He told me he wanted paid for the work done. As o Aug 17, none of my calls or texts (see attached) have been returned and the work is not done. I'll gladly update this review should something change.

I have them come out every spring to clear lines, adjust sprinkler heads, and get the system ready for the Texas summer. System always works great when they're done and the price is very reasonable.

Excellent, not only did they repair the needed items, but checked the entire system, adjusted heads and made sure the system was performing at 100%

ended up doing extra work. replaced a couple of damaged sprinkler heads along with checking the entire system and reprogramming the unit.

Excellent, they checked the entire system, each sprinkler and valve. Found the issues(s) and resolved to the state of a 100% functioning system.

I was very happy with the service provided. They came out and even repaired everything in the rain because they knew I was under contract to sell my home and repairs needed to be done by a certain date.

It went really well, and the price was fair!

They do not service San Marcos, but were friendly and able to give me names and phone numbers of other companies in my area that do.

Technician assessed the extent of the problem and repair was completed in one short visit.

Never happened. It took 2 weeks to schedule an appointment. He arrived one hour early at 12 noon when the appointment was for 1 to 3 p.m. Left a note on the door that I could call to reschedule. When I called to reschedule, he suggested I contact one of his competitors since he couldn't fit me into his schedule. That's exactly what I'm going to do.

Left voice message that assured me that my call was important to them. 48 hours later and I'm still waiting. This tells me all I need to know about this company...moving on down the list.

The provider showed up on time and was very polite. He went straight to work on the system and made recommendations for the performance as well as adjustments that were required. He worked quickly and his prices for the added items were very reasonable. Overall I was very happy with his work.

The appointment was supposed to be between 11 AM and 1 PM, but Eric called at 9:15 and asked if he could come out early, closer to 10. He arrived at about 9:55 and worked efficiently and quickly. He did mention that he was surprised that someone in my area was able to purchase the deal as their company is located in Kyle, south of Austin. I was very impressed with Eric and the work he performed. I would recommend A+ Sprinkler to anyone looking for sprinkler service. However, I don't think I could get them to come back to our area.

They are very professional. I had them out this past summer as well. Thorough. Professional. Reasonable.

They were prompt. Very professional on all levels. We were VERY pleased with the service, the way they handled themselves. Really know what they are doing.

1. Did not perform work as we discussed but I didn't find that out until months later. 2. Did not add a new zone for pop-ups but instead added to existing LARGE drip irrigation zone which is NOT what we discussed nor what we paid for. This is NOT a good idea because this greatly reduced the water pressure to the drip zone. 3. Did not identify and fix issues with large drip zone. Plants have been dying all summer. 4.. When my husband discussed with them and asked them to do something else, he was told "no, I'm doing this" and was basically rude. I was out of town and if I'd known about this we would have fired them on the spot. We are now faced with finding a new vendor to fix these problems with further expense and more importantly, further time!!!

Patrick and Paul are hard working professional technicians. They were able to diagnose the problem and fix the issue within an hour. I would recommend this company to others and plan to use them in the future.

I had dealt with the owner, Eric, a few years back, and had a great experience. Two other workers came out this time and we talked about what they would do. They looked at the system and reported that one larger head was hidden by overgrown bushes, in the backyard. I asked them to move it away from the bush so that it could effectively spray, but also to make contact with another area adjacent. they said they would move the rocks and replace them. [All they ended up doing was raising it up about 3 feet, but still charged me for the moving of rock and digging; sadly I failed to check their work in the back yard as we were working and trimming to get the front right.] After they were finished, we looked at the coverage. A few of the heads were spraying minimally, so I trimmed a bush and they replaced a head with a more powerful ones. They didn't seem to know how long to set each zone and asked if that needed to be adjusted. Since they weren't sure, I told them not to worry about it. Everything seemed to be working fine, but now in the heat of the summer, I have many large brown patches of grass (and dead plants) that are not being adequately watered, next to very green patches. I am disappointed that these workers did not adequately look at the spray patterns, and recommend the trimming of bushes, plants and/or moving of more heads. One particular head needs to be moved as one area has NO coverage at all. Unfortunately, I could not detect any of this until now, when with the once a week watering, adequate coverage becomes crucial.

Eric arrived on time but called ahead anyway to say when he would be there which I appreciated. He was friendly and professional. I felt like he was honest. He and his helper had to dig deeply through rocky soil to find one of the valves which increased the time involved. They did a nice job of replacing the sod and cleaning up the area after they finished. His labor charge was $90 an hour for the work of two men.

Patrick and Alec were professional hard working techs. Absolutely no issue with them or the work they provided. They were punctual and kept me informed the entire way. I'm not going to ding them with the rating for this because those guys really worked hard, but the only negative, and I hate to do this is that I don't like companies who charge or pass along their direct bank fee or charge for accepting credit cards to the customer. The cost of the service was $626, but charged me 3% more because I used a credit card. Either absorb the cost into your business, or price it into your service charge. So just a heads up that if you're going to pay with a credit card, you're going to pay 3% more. Thanks.

They where on time, friendly, helpful, hard workers. The system was put in by another company and was put in incorrectly. They work without stop for 6 hours. Kept me informed each step of the way of what was wrong and cost prior to repairing. Great company with great people. Recommend highly.

They were delayed getting to our house, but called ahead and warned us. While replacing a nozzle they cut a neighbor's cable wire (it was well over on our property and none of us knew it was there). The two workers stayed until they were able to splice the cable and get the cable service back up. They didn't charge for the extra time. They were very hard workers and very professional. Our sprinkler system works well again!

Eric and his team were punctual in their arrival. They asked for information on the known problems and immediately got to work. Since the sprinklers hadn't been working since the previous fall he had to do quite a bit of investigative work to figure out all of the problems. He was very knowledgeable. Because it was such a big job, he cold not complete it all in one day without missing his commitment to his next customer, so we made arrangements for him to come back another day at a mutually convenient time. I appreciated his professionalism in this matter and his thoughtfulness towards his next customer. Eric came back and finished the work as arranged and everything works well now. The job included the replacement of several heads and the master valve, along with some of the electric line to the valves. Just locating the valves was a challenge in itself. We are very happy with Eric's work and would hire him again. He came recommended to us through both Angie's List and our next door neighbor.
