Gary gave us an excellent estimate and it was spot on . His crews did a good job of painting the exterior, repairing the porch columns (hardiplank bottoms were replaced) Excellent job of refinishing the front door exterior - also repaired and repainted the back door - both look like new! I would recommend this company.

After several mishaps with emails to the owner, we finally connected and agreed on a price. He told me exactly how long it would take to complete the project and he was right on the time and the money. The crew moved the heavy furniture, painted the walls and put the heavy stuff back where it belonged. They were very conscientious and stayed until the last item was finished and in place. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for future painting needs.

The work was performed on schedule, within budget and very professional. Gary and the whole team were great to work with. They provided helpful suggestions on colors and Gary even came out with several samples that he painted on the house so we could see what the colors looked like when actually on the house. The first day consisted of power washing the outside and prepping for the painting. The team that did the painting were very professional and really cared about our satisfaction with the job - going the extra mile to address any concerns. I would definitely recommend 21st Century for any painting needs.

The guy was really nice and I didn’t end up going with them because I had someone who gave me lower estimate than them. He was professional and knew what he was talking about. I really liked them but it was that their bit was higher than others.

Kip Kennebeck, General Manager of 21st Century Painting & Roofing, responded promptly to our inquiry, quickly scheduled a visit to the premises within 24 hours and gave us informed advice. One supply problem was identified by each visiting representative (three firms): Masonite siding was in short supply because the original manufacturer had discontinued it. The Hardi siding that was generally available matched our old "colonial style" siding in shape but was wood-textured rather than smooth. Mr. Kennbeck provided a detailed estimate the following day for the job, envisioning the use of Hardi siding, either only for the damaged area or for the entire wall. His prices appeared to be in line with other estimates we received in the process. Our thinking on the approach to maintenance and upkeep evolved, thanks to advice from him and from two other bidders. Another contractor was able to locate a source of Masonite siding. Mr. Kennebeck was positive and helpful throughout.

They had an Angie's List deal for the whole day. I would use them again in the future.

Kip came by to view the work that needed to be done to the interior of my house. I gave him a card with two phone numbers and two e-mails so he could contact me about his estimate. I never heard anything. Three weeks later I called both Kip on his cell phone (left a message) and Gary at the office (didn't leave a message). Gary called back to say he would check with Kip. Kip left a message that he didn't have my email. I gave up.

Our 3rd use of 21st Century and another great experience. Kip came out and gave us the estimate on a Tuesday evening and they started the following Tuesday. They were done by Friday and were very careful to ensure the rest of our home was kept clean and safe from the overspray, etc. They use top quality products and paint and the cabinets look fabulous. There were a few spots that required touch-up (as to be expected) and they have come out and worked on it. We've since asked them to do even more work (painting doors and finishing out some baseboards/trim in the rest of the house). Again, definitely recommend.

We could not have been more pleased with 21st Century! They originally came by to give a quote on our roof and when Kip came inside he say what I had been doing (an extremely poor job of taping and floating the drywall) and gave my husband a quote. It was extremely reasonable and far more work than I would have wanted to do myself. The work was stellar, they were flexible with our small changes in requirements (we decided to remove the fireplace hearth and have it rebuilt as a more modern wall style) - Gary & Kip were very flexible with the schedule and extremely accommodating. Their team was extremely professional, and most importantly, they knew what they were doing. They removed a facet that hung down where we'd removed an over-bar-hanging cabinet and then finished out the ceiling. It completely changed the look of our home and made it much brighter and more livable than the previous 1973 wood paneling! We have since used 21st Century three more times to do additional work. We have always been extremely pleased with their timeliness, attention to detail and quality of work. Not to mention, their price is fairly manageable as well. We definitely recommend them!

Another excellent experience! The crew was on-time every day. They cleaned up after themselves and were trustworthy, diligent and knowledgable about the job they were doing. They took care to ensure they matched the textures in the remainder of the house from the previous work they'd done over a year before. Overall, excellent experience again!

They have painted the outside of my house before. I have a good relationship with them. I have good experiences with them. They are very professional. They are very clean. They clean up after themselves. I like the two guys who run the business. They are very personable. They get in touch with me right away and give a bid right away. I feel like their bids are competitive. They do a good work. I highly recommend them. I had a group of people putting in acoustic insulation, and they were very flexible about working around the other installers schedule, which was not easy to be flexible. I really appreciated that.

The quote process was clear and easy. They gave me a complete itemized list of everything that was going to be done so that was positive. They did good work and good communication. The one negative thing about them was that they left some space between the wood that they replaced and the chimney that was supposed to be filled in with molder. As they were leaving we walked the house and pointed it out but they said that they would be back to fix it. Their price was good when compared to the other quoted I got.

They did a good job. I’ve got no complaints. I’ve used them before and they’ve always done a great job. Their prices are excellent. I would use them again in the future if need be.

Gary the owner came out and gave me a free estaminet. I called him a few days later and asked when they could come and paint they came the following week. He has a crew of guys that came and he came with them to show them the little extras I need done. They got to work they finished in two days. I called Gary to after I looked everything over. And everything looked great.

The gentleman who worked on my home was professional, efficient, friendly and tidy. He would explain the work he performed on a daily basis and would let me know what he was going to do the following day, as well as what time he would be back. He was always on time and fulfilled his commitment to the job. I was very impressed with the quality of work performed and I highly recommend 21st Century Painting & Roofing.

They did a great job. It took five days because we had to move furniture from room to room as they worked on the ceilings. Scraping texture from ceilings is a huge mess but everything was sheeted in plastic to minimize dust getting into the other parts of the house, and wood floors were also carefully protected with padding. One part of the ceiling is 15" up, so they built scaffolding to reach it, and while up there, they took down and cleaned the chandelier as well, which was a nice bonus (we also replaced all the bulbs). This is the fourth time we've used 21st Century (previously, wooden front door refinishing, wallpaper and ceiling texture removal and painting three bathrooms, and stripping and refinishing a stained wood staircase railing), and I've never had a complaint. We always get multiple bids from A-rated Angie's List providers and 21st Century has always been at the low end, which is a nice plus. Highly recommended and at I don't see why I'd use anyone else in the future.

Painting started with no (promised) notice to me (and therefore to my tenants) and earlier than estimated. Wood and most paint work was great, but nails were not pounded in or replaced. They were painted over / around. Plywood carport ceiling seams were spackled over rather than nailed. Also, several portions of trim were poorly painted, with the old color and stains showing through. After calling twice, and seeing no change after being assured that the painter 'had been out there,' I took and printed pictures of the holidays and a few popped nails, some 2/3 exposed and went to the office. The receptionist assured me that the problems would be addressed immediately. Two weeks later I did the work myself. At the time I found that the tenant had been calling the painter (not the office) to get him to come back to reinstall the door seals he'd removed to paint the frame. I replaced the door seals as well.

It was a good experience. I had a lot of issues regarding color and they were very patient with me. They also are very reliable, prompt, and they clean up after themselves. The crew doesn't alway speak a lot of English. There is always at least one person who does. They do an excellent job.

They were fantastic! They went above and beyond even what they quoted us to make sure we were happy. I would definitely use them again! Their bid was 40 to 50 percent less than the five bids we got. They use the same paint and did great work.

We wanted two houses painted, one was needed within a very difficult and short time-period. Took over 10 weeks after accepting the bid to get back in touch with us, and then it was while we were on vacation wanting to start the painting job that day. After we got back, we called and left messages for 3 days in a row without any feedback or contact. After 3 months of trying to get the two houses painted, we've given up and found another contractor, although they have made two attempts after the fact to contact us. Completely unreliable contact information, no follow-through, and poor communications. We had previously had three houses painted by them with good results, but this time around they completely failed to meet our expectations.

They were finished in two hours, but still did a good job. They did have a few spots where the paint got on the trim, but when I pointed it out to them, they cleaned it up. Overall, they did a good job and I would recommend them.
