I had phone conversations with both Gary and Kip from 21st Century Painting before the actual day of painting took place. Both were very cordial, helpful and patient with me as I asked numerous questions. Kip came by at 8 a.m., the morning of painting day, in order to introduce the painter and make sure that everyone was clear on what was to be done. Raudel, the painter, was great! He was very concerned about doing exactly what we wanted done and went about it quickly and professionally. He was able to accomplish more than I expected him to be able to do in 8 hours, and he made sure that everything was clean before he left. Gary came by before Raudel left to check that we were satisfied with everything.

Gary supervised the job of his employee and they did a superb job!!! When we called to arrange the appointment they said we had the person of 8 hours and they would do whatever painting we directed them to do. They asked only that we get paint and (since we were using oil based paint) that we get brush cleaner. They arrived right on time on the scheduled.day. When we went to purchase the paint, Gary even let us use his discount! Gary's employee worked fast and was very professional! The place looks great. We still have some more work that needs to be done and we are calling to schedule more time from them. Even at the full price we feel that it is more than worth it - and at the "Big Deal" price we could not be happier. I would definitely use them again (as I said we are) and would recommend them to anyone.

Our house hadn't been painted in probably 25 years or more so it was in pretty bad shape. It is about 2,000 sq ft., two story house with siding on the upper level and rock on ground level. I contacted Gary to give me an estimate for repairing some water damage at the roof edge of the back porch, power washing the whole house and exterior painting. He called me after looking at the house and suggested that we needed to replace the siding on one side as it was falling off in some places and weathered badly. Gary advised that we would be wasting our money to simply re-attach and paint over the old siding. My concern was matching new siding to the existing siding because of the age. He assured me that he could make it work. My husband and I chose the paint colors we liked and contracted with Gary to do the job. Gary called me about the colors we had chosen saying he didn't feel we would be happy with the result. We changed the colors to be a little lighter than we had originally picked out. I think Gary was a little concerned that we didn't go light enough but in the end we were satisfied with the result. They did a good job on the siding (the difference in the siding is not noticeable). The repair work at the roof edge of the back porch looks good. I do think they could have done a better job scraping the old paint from the garage door. The rock on the house had acquired an algae buildup over the years that they successfully removed except for around the air conditioner. It looked like they just went around it. They missed some lattice work on a railing on the back porch but later came back and got it without a problem. Overall, we were pleased with the quality of the work and appreciated Gary coming back and taking care of the lattice that was missed originally. I should tell you that all of our business was done by phone because we live out of town and our house in Austin is rented out. We have never actually met Gary or his crew. It's a little like going out on a limb doing business with someone you've never met and we've certainly been burned before. I appreciated Gary's honesty, his willingness to work with our tenants and assuring that we were satisfied with the job even after we had already paid him. We would certainly recommend him to others.

Easy scheduling. Got a guy out to my house within a week. One painter showed up on time and I showed him a few specific door frames and baseboards to paint. I asked him to just kind of keep going when he was done with those areas until time was up. Then I left for work. When I got back to the house, most of the specified areas were done and some unspecified areas, but other places I pointed out weren't painted. I was a little surprised how little actual painting got done in 8 hours, but what was done was certainly done well. I had supplied the paint, so at least I can finish the work myself.

Very well, timely and clean.

The job went well. The painter showed up at 8:15 am and got right to work. I showed him the priority rooms for him to paint and he was off. Two of the rooms were bedrooms and the painter taped the floors so the paint would not get on the carpets. The painter didn't leave until 4:30 pm, so I got my full 8 hours I paid for.

Unfortunately, the painting was not done with very good quality, and I had to do a lot of touch-up work myself: removing and re-applying the caulk that they installed and re-painting edges that they failed to paint in a straight line. Fortunately, they reduced the charges because of the work that we had to do, which took most of two weekends.

They were okay, but they were about a third higher than the bid that I ended up going with.

Went exactly as promised. Very cooperative and very skilled. Did nice work; the house looks much better.

Over all it went well, he did everything in one day and was a nice man. I did not feel like he was a threat or that my family was in danger. The only thing I would do differently is ask for a worker that spoke english. The quality of his work was fine and he cleaned up after he finished, which I have found is a rare quality in contractors. I would use them again.

We needed to get that roof fixed ASAP so we didn't get more roofing estimates from other competitors. $425 seemed about right for the amount of work that needed to be done up there. We had to go out of town right away, so we weren't around to supervise the repair work. When we got back, they had obviously done work on the roof (you could see new shingles and roofing caulk) so I figured everything was fixed. I remember being impressed by the fact that there was no evidence on the ground that they had come by - no torn up soil from ladders, no pieces of old shingles or nails laying about. Since we had been out of town, I emailed 21st Century to find out what day they had come by to repair the roof so I could record the date. I did not get a response to that first email, so I sent another one a few days later. That time, someone from the company did reply and let me know the dates of repair (turns out they came by twice while we were gone in order to do the job correctly). I do wish they had replied to my first email instead of my second, but really it wasn't a big deal. Unfortunately, the next time it rained, the roof did leak again - but the leak had moved over about 2 feet. I called Kip right away and explained the problem, and he came by himself to inspect the roof again. He explained what had happened (I've forgotten the technical details, sorry) and said that he would send a repair guy out the next day. A roofing guy did come by and work on it, and after the next rain, the problem was solved - no more leaks, no additional service charge. So it took a few visits but they did fix my leak for the price originally quoted. I would use them again for any future roofing needs.

We purchased a Big Deal that provided the services of two painters for 8 hours each. We met with the manager who felt work we selected was not enough and suggested we add additional woodwork that would need painting soon. He gave us guidance with paint type, amount, and colors to buy ahead of time (which we provided.) He also suggested we have other projects (not necessarily painting) ready in case they finished before 8 hours. He was right! They finished the planned work and did another three small paint jobs. The painters were right on time and were very professional and competent. They were actually lead painters which the manager chose for this special because the whole purpose was to acquire potential repeat business. The painters realized early on they would run out of paint and had me go pick up more. (They had to do extra coats in areas that were faded bare and very absorbent.) They cleaned everything up and left our house just like they found it except with a terrific new paint job. We couldn't be more satisfied and will definitely call them back next time.

The most recent job went as expected. They completed the work in the time specified, and the quailty, while not being the absolute best in the world, is certainly better than average. Considering their competitive pricing, I feel they always provide an excellent value.

We would NOT have survived this project if not for 21st Century Painting and Roofing and the continual support from Gary Gibreal. Our plan was to have the remodel completed before moving from Tucson, but as things worked out, we had to live in a guestroom of the home throughout the complete remodel. Gary coordinated with all of the other tradesmen and was the major factor in maintaining order throughout the project. The finished product is of the highest quality and completed with the least amount of pain possible to us, the property owners. Besides the quality of workmanship, Gary is in constant communication with his clients from the ?mobile office? within the cab of his truck. He has embraced technology which allows him to respond immediately to email and telephone calls and track the progress of his various crews. His crews are respectful, proficient and CLEAN UP THEIR MESS as they go. As much as we are glad to have the initial project behind us, we miss the interaction with 21st Century Painting and Roofing , its owner Gary Gibreal and its wonderful group of workers. This is a GREAT company to work with and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Dealing with 21st Century Painting was very pleasant experience. The work was easy to schedule, the painters were prompt and polite, and the work was very good. The painter team was careful with the details and even stayed over a few extra minutes to make sure that everything looked just right. I'd recommend the company for anyone considering painting in the Austin area.

It was a pretty easy experience and they were on time. They came and told me what I was experiencing so they were easy to work with from that perspective. They told me what they were going to do and then sent me a quote the next day. Their quote was for about $750 and I thought they were very responsive.

Kip is great to work with, and Oscar and his crew did a great job finishing up my lame attempt at painting two stories high. Thanks guys!

Arrived, showed him the areas that I wanted to complete. He did a very good job, was neat, didn't leave messes as progressed around downstairs. While he was painting, I was able to prep additional areas I assumed his full day would not be able to complete. However, his efficiency of work allowed him to complete these as well. Overall, very pleased with the outcome.

Everything went very well. We were able to schedule the job and have it done very quickly. Gary, the owner is very quick to respond to phone calls and communicates well, calls when he says he will, to follow up with things. Julian was a little late arriving the first day, not a big deal. He communicated that he would have to start at a later time the next day. Gary kept us updated so that we could meet Julian at the house. We were very happy with the experience.

Met with the contractor and looked over the work to be done and scheduled the work. He was on time for the initial interview and he and his painter were on time for the work to be done. The painter worked diligently (I checked on him and his progress) and he worked through the cut off time. Very satisfied with the work.

They were excellent. They showed up on time and did what they said they would. They were knowledgeable about the work. They did a really good job of cleaning up after themselves. They were quick to get a quote. I would recommend them. I would most definitely use them in the future.

the painter came at exactly 8 o'clock on the day he was scheduled.He took his shoes off and got to work immediately. First he checked to see if anything needed caulking and took care of that. He came prepared with everything he needed minus the oil based paint I provided. He taped off walls and wood flooring. He worked all day completing all the upstairs baseboards, window sills and door frames. He didn't leave a mess or "holidays". He did a really great job. Absolutely no complaints here. In fact, I am so happy I have already asked them back to do the downstairs.

I worked with Gary and he was very prompt and provided a good detailed quote of the work and costs. The crew completed the work in good time and the followup visit from the lead fixed any and all things that I had identified that needed touchups. The quality of the work was good and no surprises on cost. I would definitely use 21st Century again! Thanks.

They are easy to work with. They are very pleasant and willing to do above and beyond for something. My overall experience with them has been excellent. I can’t rate them on punctuality as I was not there.
