This is an update to my other review. I expressed my concern that more should have been done in my allotted 8 hour time.. They contacted me and scheduled for someone to come out to paint an additional wall of my house to compensate for the lost time on the first scheduled time. I appreciate the company for hearing my concerns & making it right. Thank you!

Tool long delay between visit and receiving quote.

The paint job was immaculate. It was completed in a few hours. Life savor!!!

Very impressed with Gary and his team. The installation was quick, they were very conscientious to keep the property clean and organized as the work was being completed. Gary recommended a roof color I didn't initially select, it ended up beautiful. Very pleased and will always recommend him to my friends and clients.

Had some initial scheduling issues but Gary really redeemed himself. He took ownership of the scheduling drop and got us on the schedule right away. His team did an amazing job. The spot they repaired was smack-dab in the middle of our cieling and you cant tell anymore. The texture blends perfectly as does the paint. I appreciate that this company takes ownership of any mistakes...and I'm glad I gave them the chance to win back our business. They did a great job!

The Big Deal only applies to certain service.

When the owner was out for the work he told me I would need to move the rugs I had drying in the driveway because, and I'm quoting him "We're using a little chlorine and I need you to move your rugs so they are not discolored." The first thing I told them was that I teaching swimming at 5 so I needed them to be here early in the morning. They didn't show up until 3pm and when they did their machine was broken and they didn't start until 4 pm so they were leaving as my children are showing up to swim in the pool. During the lesson he starts coughing and cannot stop; I thought he was having a heart attack. That night I woke up coughing terribly and felt like my esophagus was on fire. The next day they come out to paint. And I asked them what they used to power wash while recording them and they are using 75% bleach chlorine extra duty to do the cleaning. They said they could not get things as clean as they do without using this strong of bleach. They endangered all of the children I teach, my assistant had to go to the Dr. with chemical burns, I had to go to the Dr. for chemical burns as well. I had no idea I was having a very untrustworthy company come out to my house to do work and endanger my life. The people doing the cleaning are using respirators to protect themselves but are not doing anything to protect their client or even let their client's know what the issue is. Additionally they broke a Texas wrought Iron table top on my patio and are still yet to return it. I have contacted the owner but he is always rude and never helpful. I really believe this company should be removed from Angie's List! My Dr. and myself feel that this company should be removed because he blatantly has no concern for anyone but himself.

This is an outstanding company that I would strongly recommend to others; the team did a flawless job on my roof repair; they completed the work on time with no hassles; the price was very fair and much better than the quote offered by other top rated companies; this is a very professional, reputable company with appraisers and repair service employees that really know their trade-- the business staff was also very efficient and responsive-- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED WITHOUT ANY RESERVATIONS!

Pretty good. My only issue was that they walked on ledges after painting them and left footprints. Also, when they rested the ladder on the edge of ledges, it left marks. I had offered old towels to protect from marking, but they said earlier that they would touch these up after. They didn't. Next time I will be more insistent.

They arrived on time and worked for the entire time. They were efficient and got 2 coats on to cover some darker paint in those rooms. They kept it all clean and cleaned up,before they left.

They did a great job. The two guys (sorry, don't remember their names) were prompt and courteous. They did a fantastic job on all of the rooms. There are no paint drips on any baseboard, they removed the mirror and painted behind it, and the lines on our curved edged walls is perfect. I will use this company again. In fact, I'm going to email them for a quote on another project!

The head of the company, Gary, came as scheduled to give an estimate. He was friendly, professional and prompt. I left his crew on their own to do the job, and went to check the day after they said they were done. Where the new texturing met other surfaces (such as trim and tile) it was quite sloppy with some good-sized gaps that should have been caulked. Debris had been left in bathtubs and on counters and the air conditioning had been set to about 58 degrees. Driveway was littered with multiple cigarette butts. I called Gary who was very apologetic and sent another workman out promptly to correct the problems. The job was at the end done pretty well, for the price agreed upon; however seems like it should have been done correctly the first time.

They did a very good job on popcorn removal and painting all ceiling and walls. They were professional, on time, and cleaned up after the job. They did a good job even in the closets. The person that provided the quote made a mistake (to our benefit) and they honored the quoted amount. That speaks to their customer service. We highly recommend them for popcorn removal and painting.

They said because my door is too dark that they would have to do several steps in order to get it done right.

These guys are top notch. They worked hard to finish quickly so my husband and I could move in. They are trustworthy and talented. They also keep everything clean. If I ever have paint, drywall or roofing work again, I will use them.

Painters showed up on time, around 8:20am. They worked for 8 hours (until 5:05pm with a 45 minute lunch). I had purchased the paint and paint supplies as requested by the company. The painters were polite and got right to work. The painting quality was ok. They got a lot done quantitatively speaking, but perhaps that made the quality of the square footage painted a little worse. But overall, I would use them again. Just maybe less square footage to paint to allow them to do a 2nd coat after the first coat dries. The price was great and by far the most reasonable on Angie's List. I tipped the nice painters $20 each for their efforts. Cost -- 5 out of 5 stars Quality -- 3 out of 5 stars Overall -- 4 out of 5 stars I'd use them again, with better set expectations about how much square footage 2 guys can paint in 8 hours.

21st Century did a great job painting the interior and all cabinets. The finish was perfect and looks great. They were punctual and got the job done quickly!

Beware! Today I will pay this company $411.00 more then I should . The quality and promptness of the painter was excellent , therefore he deserves excellent reviews . The owner showed up on this simple job starting that he does not usually come for these jobs .. I wish he had not . I had, in emails, an agreement on the services the painter would perform. I asked specifically what I needed to purchase he emailed back, paint and primer. When he arrived he had forgotten and said we needed to purchase more supplies for the painter. We knew that this was a trim package but by Email I clarified that I needed other work, he told me that I had purchased 8 hours of labor to use how I needed but when he came to my home that was also disputed. Compared to what happened next , those were minor details . We had a new very expensive front door installed and Gary looked at the door said emphatically that he could not paint the door due to the fact that the installer had used silicone for caulking . I, immediately had him talk to the door company and Gary was equally adamant that this was silicone and would take hours of labor to remove. The company agreed, without question, to pay for the extra time even though they did not talk to the installer that day. Gary even pulled a worker from another job . It took 10 hours that day. We found out the next day, that Gary was wrong. It was not silicone but a paintable clear caulking. The door company trusted, as we did, his expertise. I called Gary to let him know that it was not silicone at all and his response was ? then they should have said so.? As the expert, with years of experience in his field, we feel that he should have known. He then said you cannot tell the difference and he had never seen this before. I feel that the door company paid for Gary?s mistake. .

Very well. I wrote recommendation earlier. We are very pleased with this company and will use them again,

First of all, the job was last minute. Kip got out to our house very quickly and gave us the quote by the next morning. There was some confusion as to where we lived vs. where the job needed to be done (the two properties are next door to each other) but he didn't leave and made sure to call us to figure it out. Secondly, they were able to get us booked less than a week later. We couldn't be more pleased with our painter, Hector, and his helper (I forget his name.) It was very helpful that he spoke english and he couldn't have been more professional. He is all around a nice guy. I really appreciated that he checked our walls first before going to the store to buy the paint. If he had bought the paint first for the color we initially wanted, we would have been out of pocket for 2 coats instead of one. So, the fact that he waited to speak to us about it saved us money. We chose to use a very light color for 1 coat. Hector was on time every time and the job these two gentlemen did was amazing. I am beyond satisfied with the work they did. I was also very impressed that they were able to paint the kitchen without messing up the wallpaper border. Then they cleaned up and it was life they were never there. The walls looked amazing. They filled in all the nail holes and the house just looked cleaner. We will definitely be using 21st century paint again every time we get a new tenant. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! I don't know if $2000.00 is the norm, but they did an EXCELLENT job! Well worth the money.

The job was accomplished very professionally. Kip provided a very reasonable quote. After accepting their quote and before we could schedule the date for the service, Kip called and said there was an opening due to another customer postponing the service and would be able to start the pant job that day. They power washed the exterior that Thursday later afternoon/evening, prepped and painted Friday and finished and wrapped everything up by noon on Saturday. They did the job right by power washing prior to painting and not only sprayed the paint on but also back brushed the paint into the grain and crevices to ensure coverage and quality job. They were very easy to work with, quick service and quality work; I can't say enough positive things about the work they did. I will use them again on my main home in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality, reasonable price and quick service.

They arrived on time and did a good job.

We had several bids for the painting of the interior of our home. Their bid was within the range that we wanted to pay. WE had our home painted about 10 years ago and the painter used a hybrid paint on oil. This was a big mistake and as a result the painted woodwork flaked for 10 years. When I met with Gary we went over the problem and he assured us that he could fix the woodwork. The painters arrived on time and were excellant. They were fast and clean and were very concerned that i was pleased with their work. The second day of painting Gary came over to check how everything was coming along. The painters finished the house in 4 days. When they were just about finished Gary's partner came and did a walk through and anyplace that he found ( and there were only 1-2) he took a photo with his phone and went over it with the painters. They did such a good job I have been telling everyone about their work. We felt that they really wanted to do the best job that they could do for us. In addition we had had some problems with our roof. I asked Gary to look it over and and give us a bid. We had gotten other bids from roofers and they suggested we just replace the roof. 21st roofing suggested we make repairs and the roof was in good enough shape to get at least 5-6 years before replacing. Their price for fixing the worn areas, replacing the pipe covers and the entire ridge vent, and a major leak in the decking was 1.5K which was much better that a whole new roof. I was dreading having the house painted again but 21st made it a very pleasant experience and the results was a beautiful paint job, with terrific painters who know how to paint. Now we do not have to worry about a new roof for several more years, and we know who we will call when we need one!

They were timely. They were neat and clean. They are perfectionists. They were also very fast. They accomplished more in the time than I expected.
