+ 0 moreThe roof was replaced first, to be followed by the siding replacement and interior work. During roofing, gaps underneath an upstairs bedroom window and existing siding damaged during roofing were never sealed, never waterproofed and we were not notified of the issues. Before the siding was installed, the project manager was fired. Water leaked under the window and the damaged siding causing tile in the bathroom to fall off & damage to the interior wall. Level1 owner found the damage and leaks. Level1 fixed the exterior issues for an additional $500, but refused to fix any of the interior issues claiming they were 'pre-existing issues'. He refused to fix water leaks around the fireplace claiming they were from missing mortar between the exterior bricks. Two brick masons said the missing mortar COULD NOT have caused the chimney leaks. The mortar was fixed, Level1 FINALLY fixed the remaining roof leaks and leaks that appeared after the first fix by replacing interior painters caulk that they used with exterior black sealant. They refused to fix the interior damage from those leaks claiming they were pre-existing. We fired them after the roofing, and got MOST of the deposit for the remaining work to be done. Didn't bother to sue them for the remaining deposit refund.

Description of Work: Roofing contractor: Met with and represented us with the insurance company. Removed shingles, felt; purchased new shingles, replaced felt, shingles and vents and cleaned up for our 3800 sq ft house plus boat house.

+ -1 moreI contacted Todd about replacing my roof based on the number of signs I saw in my neighborhood. He came out the next day as promised, inspected the roof and determined that there was hail damage. He also pointed out signs of damage to my window trimmings and fence. After I called my insurance company, Todd met the adjuster at my home to discuss the damages. Once my claim was approved, Todd met with us to pick out our new shingles and discuss the job in detail. His crew showed up as promised and the roof work was completed within 2 days. I was thoroghly impressed with the clean up work. There were NO nails left behind for me to worry about as I had heard horror stories from other people who had flat tires shortly after having their roof replaced. The window and fence work was completed within the agreed upon timeframe. I highly recommend this provider!
Description of Work: My roof was damaged by multiple hail storms and needed to be replaced. I contracted with Todd Torbert from Level 1 General Construction as I'd seen his sign in several of my neighbors yards. Over a two day span, Todd's crew stripped the entire roof, installed new felt and flashing on all peaks and joints before installing the new shingles. About a week later, his window guy replaced a window that was cracked as well as the trim on all other windows. Finally he also repaired and replaced sections of my fence which had been damaged by a more recent wind storm. I was thoroghly impressed with all aspects of the work performed and he was able to keep the entire cost under my insurance payment (less my deductible) so I had no money out of pocket!
