King's Men Movers

We used King’s Men Movers in September of 2022 for our cross-country move, Texas to South Carolina. They packed up all our household goods (3400 sq Ft home) and moved us. Ernest and his crew were professional and super reliable. They were always on time and a pleasure to work with. We had lots of heavy, big pieces of furniture and not one item was damaged. They are honestly one of the best movers we’ve ever used and we’ve moved 9 times, so that’s saying a lot!

Excellent service with great staff!

Ernest Pena and his two employees Albert and Jerry showed right on time and went to work. They were pleasant to deal with, knew what to load first, how to get it up and down stairs, and worked as a team. They were careful of floors and walls and moved several very heavy pieces of furniture. Unloaded neatly and quickly, again getting heavy items up to second floor without problems. Price was reasonable and competitive. I would hire again.

It went well. Earnest was phenomenal, attentive when it came to calling, There was changes to the weather the day pf the move and was very cooperative. He made you feel like a family member and was great. It was the move a lot easier. The gentlemen he brought were professional, worked hard, very quick, and paid attention to details. They took pictures and there were scuffs on the walls or flooring. They cleaned up after helping me move and helped to move all the furniture where they were supposed to go. They were absolutely phenomenal I would definitely recommend.

Ernest, Rudy and Eddie did a great job, arriving at 9:00 am and finished by noon. They were very professional, polite, and careful with all of our items. We plan to use them again in the near future. We highly recommend Kings Movers. Betty C.

Excellent! Owner is very experienced and top in his field. They were fast, but very safe in moving heavy and valuable furniture. Very courteous. They already knew what to do with each piece of furniture and protected it well. Best price over the four other estimates from other movers.

Overall A+ work and I would hire and recommend these guys anytime. They worked hard in the middle of the San Antonio heat wave of Aug 2019. I've moved 6 times and each time used someone new because I wasn't happy with who I used, but for the first time, I have someone whose number I'm keeping. And for the first time, I'm leaving a review for movers... that's how good they were. Ernest, the owner, came to our house to give us an estimate (time and money) for our move. During his visit, he taught us some really neat packing tips I wish I had had for my previous moves. A few days later, he arrived with his men and they were all a great group. Moving is stressful, so it was great to be working with funny, friendly, and hard working guys. Also, this was the first time the owner of the business was present with his own employees throughout the whole day. This really helps keep things moving. The only negative is that they forgot to protect our mattresses and floors, but as soon as we pointed it out, they quickly fixed the issue. It was a long day, so my wife and I made sure to have drinks and sandwiches for them (they tire of pizza since that seems to be what they get ALL THE TIME). They took only one short break for lunch (about 30 min), but were then quickly back at it. The whole move took about 10 hours, also the quickest we've moved so far. Overall, I highly recommend them.

Highly recommend Ernest and his crew! Very professional and efficient and getting everything from one house to another. They also moved my antique piano without a hitch! You can't go wrong with King's Men Movers.

Ernest and his staff were great! Ernest came to my house and provided an estimate a few weeks prior to my move. Through discussions, he updated the quote. He and his staff used 2 and a half days to pack, load and deliver the contents. All the men were polite and friendly throughout the process. I plan to hire them again to move the contents from storage to my new house once it is completed.

It went exceptionally well, this company did an amazing job and was very patient as I was coordinating all 3 homes and the items that had to be moved. I would hire them again and again!

Contacted Ernest based on Angie's list. He visited our home and sized up the work. Ok moving day he was with his crew and they did a professional and careful job and got us to our new home with no damage to furniture or walls/floors. His men conducted themselves with respect and good character. A pleasure to use and recommend. You might find cheaper. It I doubt you'll find better.

Ernest and his crew have moved my household furniture 3 times overs the last 2 years. The first two moves were local but the last move was approximately 300 miles. The last move entailed picking up some furniture from a warehouse, a storage unit, and my house. Each and every time the service has been excellent. They really take care of your belongings and furniture. Over the 3 moves I have yet to have anything damaged. Ernest and his crew are always professional and courteous. Ernest goes out of his way to work with your moving schedule and always gives a fair and reasonable price. Hopefully, I will not have to move again; but if I do I will definitely use King's Men Movers and would recommend them to anyone else.

Crew was very professional. Arrived at time requested & immediately got to work loading furniture. On move-in day, came to new home and unloaded furniture; placing where requested.

We needed a quote and estimate. Ernest Pena is top rated and excellent. He was above and beyond professional and caring of our moving needs. His prices were very reasonable and would for sure use them again for services.

I spoke with Ernest on Sunday, July 13th regarding the move of a table and four chairs to Quebec, Canada. I told him that I needed the furniture to go into 2 crates. He said that he could help me with the crates, but that he does not go to Canada. He said that he would make some calls on Monday to see if he could find another company who could help me. He called me back on Monday with the name of a company, a contact name, phone number and with a quote number. I also told him that the people in Canada are also trying to make arrangements for the furniture. I thanked Ernest for his efforts and told him I would get back in touch with him either way. I am still waiting on an actual price from the company he recommended, but that is not Ernest's fault. Ernest was very polite and got back with me like he said that he would.

I recently moved my family from San Antonio, TX to Dallas, TX for a new jobs. I searched through Angie's list for multiple quotes. The original plan was to have movers load a moving truck which I would drive to Dallas and hire movers in Dallas to unload the truck the same day. I spoke to Ernest who told me to obtain multiple quotes for movers. I did this approximately one month prior to our move. He suggested I have one company do the entire trip based on 35 years of experience. Most of the quotes I received were in the $2000 price range to have the movers load a truck, drive it to Dallas and unload it the same day. Ernest said he would give me a deal. He quoted a price of $1000 for the labor for the move. He said he would work out the moving truck details. I received a call from Ernest stating I would have to rent a moving truck which they would load and drive to San Antonio. After searching online, I reserved a Uhaul at a reasonable price. Two weeks prior to the move Ernest asked me to change the reservation to a place closer to him so he could load his equipment. I looked into it but there were not trucks available. Two days prior Ernest called and said he found a truck close to him, so I cancelled that reservation and booked that truck. (I did not know it was a gasoline only truck). He then called the day prior to our move and said he was not sure that he could move me in one day, but would do his best. I asked him to start the move at 7am, so that the move would be quick. The movers showed up at 7:45 am the next day. It took approximately 3 hours to load the truck. The lead mover Steve was excellent. After the truck was loaded, Ernest called to ask for a cash payment up front. We were unware of this. We payed $300 upfront and prayed they would make it to Dallas the same day. The movers made it to Dallas at approximately 5 pm the same day. The unload took approximately 2 hours. We were told we need to cover the gas expenses. The total cost of gas was over $250 due to gasoline only truck. We scrambled to get $700 from multiple ATM accounts. I wrote a check for the rest. The truck was apparently returned in one piece, but I got a nice $120 charge after it was returned. I assume additional mileage and gas expenses. Overall, the experience was way too stressful. Ernest was very unprofessional throughout the whole experience. At every opportunity he tried to shift the responsibility of the move on us. We were unable to find another company due to short time frame. We have had good experience with A+ ratings on Angie's List but this was the first negative one we had. We will not be using this company again and will recommend against using them to our extended family in San Antonio.

Very smooth. Movers were very friendly and polite. They were also very professional. I didn't have to do a thing. I told them what was going and they packed it up for me and placed it in my new home per my direction. I will definitely refer them to others and use them again in the future should the need arise.

Ernest called me every day to let me know what was going to happen each day and stayed in touch with the crew. He handled the move to Dallas and to our condo personally. What an amazing experience. I went into this process stressed and worried I wouldn't be able to find a mover to handle this move at any price and these guys did everything and made it all stress free.
